Leave it to Kicker to come up with a great way to get strong bass in your ride. Their CX300.1 amplifier delivers up to 300 watts RMS to your subwoofer, from a 7" x 8" chassis that'll fit almost anywhere. And they don't cut any corners building this amp, using oversized transistors, special transformers, and a heavy-duty heat sink to bring you awesome power that won't fade when you push your system hard.
Kicker includes a low-pass filter to keep high frequencies away from your sub, a fixed subsonic filter that protects your sub from inaudible, power-devouring ultra-low frequencies, and a variable bass boost that allows you to add some kick to the mix. An optional wired remote bass level controller is available so you can crank the bass up or down from the front seat.
Includes hardware for vertical mounting
Kicker uses their Fail-Safe Integration Technology (FIT™) to keep this amp's input free from noise or interference, so you'll get a clean signal from almost any system, even a factory radio. Rugged metal end panels provide even more shielding from radiated interference. The CX300.1 also comes with hardware that lets you mount it vertically, so it'll take up very little floor space and look ultra-cool.
CX300.1 control panel
You might think you don't need an amp because you have a 400-watt system in your car, or because your new stereo puts out 50 watts a channel. But those are peak wattage ratings, which may boil down to 15 or 20 watts per channel, using the more realistic RMS rating. An amp sends your speakers the power they need to deliver your music with clarity and impact, whether you're using factory speakers or high-performance components. And low-frequency reproduction requires lots of power, so an amp is an absolute must if you're adding a sub to your system.
This amp exceeded my expectations. I installed this with a 4 ohms Kicker 12" Sub in a sealed box. This is installed in my 2014 Ford Fusion to stock radio. This amp punches great. This has more power than I will ever need. Definitely worth the money.
Great little amp with plenty of power!!!
Pros: Small Size Class D Amp Option for remote Gain Control
An amazing amp for a great price. This was my first time using an amp and this one exceeded my expectations
Pros: Overall just an amazing amp
This is a great amp with a lot of punch. I'm using it with a 4 ohm 12" sub in a sealed box. I also purchased the wired remote which gives you control of the bass from the front seat.
Pros: -compact size -remote capability
Cons: -difficult wiring connections
Great amp for the price, its perfect for my two 10 inch kicker subs
Nice amp for the price!
Pros: Good power, Tiny package, Good price
Cons: none so far.
I paired this amp to my JL Stealthbox 10 " for my 2015 Ford Expedition Platinum and it does the job really good. This amp is so small that it almost fits anywhere. Great amplifier.
Pros: Great amplifier So small it fits almost anywhere
This product is perfect for running a 10" sub.
Pros: Sounds great, easy to set up,
Cons: Didn't come with a sub volume remote but I would defiantly recommend it.
Awesome amp, puts out some sick bass power.
Pros: awesome power, small and compact, great sound
I got this on sale and was crossing my fingers it would be powerful enough to drive a JL BassWedge CS112-WXv2 that I'd purchased with another amp that I returned because it was too big. Man, no worries at all - this thing drives a 12" sealed sub like nobody's business. Super satisfied.
Pros: Compact, great sound, flexible mounting options. Looks good too, on the rare occasion I actually see it.
Cons: None whatsoever.
We bought a few of these amps to put into cars that we fix and flip as audio upgrades. Let me tell you these little guys are impressive - lots of power out of a small amp that doesn't get very warm! I have a similarly powered JL Audio amp that cost 3x as much and these are every bit as good. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to add 300 watts of sub power - a steal at $100!
Pros: Cost, quality, brand name, power output
Cons: Makes me upset that I spent $300 for a similar unit from JL Audio!
Only have it turned up 1/4 of the way on a perfectly matched kicker 8" sub and it's just what the dr ordered!
Pros: Compact Durable Nice power for the $
I am very pleased with this amp. I purchased it to power on 8" Polk DB840DVC. It has more than enough to push this speaker. This is installed in a 2004 Subaru Forester and gain set at about 1/2 the mirrors vibrate, but there is not so much bass that you will disrupt the neighborhood. Although with the right sub and enclosure I am sure this amp has way more potential. I feel this was a great amp for the price that suites my needs perfectly. Thanks Crutchfield for the great products and fast shipping!
Pros: Small fit under passenger seat. Plenty of power for a single sub setup. Clean sound.
Cons: Haven't found any yet.
Great little amp
Love the amp. Very small, compact design, and looks good too. Easily fits under the driver's seat of my truck. Currently powering my MTX 10" sub rated at 300 watts @ 2 Ohms without breaking a sweat.
Pros: Price Small footprint Sleek design
Excellent, compact unit that hits hard and is affordable. Highly recommended.
Pros: Easy to install. Compact. Doesn't overheat.
Awesome lil amp! Got the certificate with the amp and it was certified at 343. Not bad at all. Using it to push 2 Polk DB1040s and it does a fantastic job. Sweet deal. Highly recommend, can't be beat at that price level. Happy I got it!
nice simple amp, with easy install. does not over heat. sounds great pushing Kicker 40CWS82
Pros: small foot print, easy install, sounds great
Great amp for pairing with a single kicker comps 12.
Pros: Dope amp for a beginner set-up.
This little amplifier has good power and good sound for such a small package. It is also very easy to hook up. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase.
Pros: Cost, sound, flexibility, size
Great compact amp. Performs great and stays cool.
Pros: Performance and price
Great amp for the money. Powered my 10" pioneer sub with ease.
Pros: Great price, compact and powerful
Cons: None so far
I installed this amp in my 2008 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited. It is just the right amount of power for the 8 in Kicker Sub. The sound is tight. EZ to install. Crutchfield Tech dept was very helpful.
Pros: Great sound EZ to install
I picked this up to push a Polk 10" sub and was not disappointed. Sounds great and the compact designe fit easly under the seat in my elantra
Pros: Size, power, quality
This little amp rocks
Does exactly what I need it to. Was easy to wire up. Have two Kicker 12"s hooked up to it and they sound great.
Pros: Simple hookup. Subs are sounding great with it.
Cons: Should come with the remote nob.
You will look long and hard for a amplifier with this kind of power for the price. I am running this amp at 2ohms to a single HELIX 10" sub in my GMC crew cab and it is amazing the amount of bass being produced. I have owned many brands of amps over the years and this one is up at the top of the list. Also kicker tests its amps before they ship and you get a factory power output slip with each. Mine came in at 318.
Pros: POWER-PRICE-KICKER QUALITY
Cons: I have not one complaint about this product.
I pared the amp with a JL Audio CS110LG-TW3 Single 10 inch sub woofer in a 85 Chevy C10 truck . The recommended RMS watts for the sub woofer was 100-400 watts. With the brand Kicker they will always exceed the watts of their amps, so instead a 300 watts I received amp that delivered 346 watts RMS. Being the first amp I have ever bought kicker is now my go to amp brand. The amount of POWER coming from this little amp was flawless and gave plenty of power to the Sub Woofer. I will be keeping this system for a long time in my truck.
Pros: Quality Sound Power Customer Service Size Design
GREAT Mono amp! Awesome compact size fits anyplace, mounts any direction and simple controls. Great look can go with any interior style, but so small you'll never see it. Pushes hard and stays clear. I bought a second for my other truck!
Pros: Small yet powerful!
this is a great amp to get. powering one 10" alpine sub woofer i have behind the seat with no issues. overall great amp that i would recommend.
Pros: lots of adjustments, super easy to install and fits basically anywhere, doesn't get hot, has a port for a bass remote control, and a button for low vs high bass.
This amp may be small but it packs a punch. Fits easily underneath my front seat. I have it pushing a 10" kicker and it has plenty of power to spare. Sounds great and thanks to Crutchfield for fast shipping and great customer service.
Pros: Size, power
I love the size of this amp!! Very small footprint, came with a certified power output from Kicker, tested and passed at 310watts RMS. I love this about Kicker! I have had it for about a week and it pushes my enclosed comp s 10 perfectly! So far, so good. Thank you Crutchfield, for carrying a great amp from a great company!
Pros: Small footprint, and even though I didn't use it, the vertical mounting bracket is a nice touch.
Cons: Would have liked to see a 40 amp fuse built in, just for extra security.
Kicker 300.1 2ohm matched to a single 10" Kicker comp and a sealed box. It moves my hair at a setting of -3 and the amp rumming 50%. If I crank the bass it blows the mind. best $225 I have every spent matching this set.
Awesome little amp with plenty of power to make my extended cab truck sound great with a small sub hidden under the seat.
Pros: Easy install Small size makes it able to fit just about anywhere Has brackets for vertical mounting if needed or wanted
Cons: None as of yet.
I am using this to drive a Sony XS-GS80L subwoofer. This is a great little amp. It is small yet puts out plenty of power. It is also very adjustable to get the sound you want out of it, The control buttons need accessibility and if you plan on mounting the unit somewhere difficult to reach, I would recomment the remote. I was concerned about mounting it on a crapet floor due to heat so may a thing platform out of HDPE. Not sure if it was necessary but...
Pros: It is unit is small and can be placed anywhere due to its sze. It comes with brackets to mount off a wall. It has a good clean sound.
Cons: Cannot be mounted upside down (Such as under something). It appears the fin orientation is important for cooling it the manufacturer always wants teh unit laying flat. Although there is no mention of mounting flat to a side wall, they provide brackets to reorientate the unit flat even when mounted to a side wall.
If you need more crisp, clean bass than this amp provides (coupled with a Kicker 40CWD104 subwoofer) for a 350-Z, you are going to have serious loss of hearing at a very young age. . . . I SAID IF YOU NEED MORE CRISP, CLEAN BASS . . . . I think you hear me now.
Pros: More than enough bass without being obnoxious, good value
Cons: No installation instructions for non-professional installers
I was impressed with this amp the second I opened the box. The amp's birth certificate said it bench tested at 337 watts when it was rated at 300. Stuff from China won't do that. All the necessary mounting hardware and instructions were included for a pain free installation. I'm driving two 10" Kicker subs with this amp and it rocks. I couldn't be happier with my combination. Thanks for recommendations Crutchfield, I trust you with my future audio needs hands down. Cheers!
Great power in a small package I have a 8in sub it's plenty of power
Cons: No fuses
Great kicker amp at great Crutchfield price.
Pros: Very small powerful unit.
Paired with Kicker 40VCWS122, works perfectly and looks good. I would recommend getting the bass dial also
Pros: Small, easy to use
I love this amp. Good quality. Worth money
Pros: Good amp. Good power
powerful little amp. Has no problem running two 12 inch kicker comps. I highly recommend purchasing the optional dial control for on-the-fly adjustments. Mine was tested at 322 watts at the factory.
Pros: Compact, powerful, easily mounted, all the adjustment controls you need, can be remotely adjusted with dial.
Cons: No fuse block
This amp added the necessary kick to my bazooka subwoofer. Sounds awesome and at a reasonable price.
Pros: Small easy to find a mounting location Good power. Enough controls but not overwhelming. Good wire connections on the back.
Cons: None so far.
Great Amp. Very powerful and easy to control. Installation was very simple.
Pros: I'd highly recommend this to anyway looking for some awesome bass!
Cons: No complaints from me.
My first time ordering from this store and I was very please have cheap products and very very fast shipping got my order with 2 days after the weekend
Pros: Excellent service
Cons: Had little misunderstanding about where to send it and adress on the card but still very pleases
Great amp with great features at a great price
It does really well for the price and is small enuf to fit under the seat so I am happy with it.
Pros: Small, loud, cheap, clear sound.
Nice little amp for the price. Purchased for a friends Camry, and a 2-12 cvr box. The 2-12s are rated for 600 w 2 Ohm but the 300 w amp does great.
Pros: great beginner amp, easy to install
Cons: push button "high input/low input" can be troublesome
I used this amp to power my Kicker 40TCWRT102 subwoofer and couldn't be anymore happier. Solid feeling amp and I would recommend this amp over the JL XD300/1. Nice and compact and can be placed under seats or compact compartments.
Pros: Solid feeling, compact, beautiful finish.
I purchased this amp in order to replace what Nissan and Bose considered to be an amp that came standard with my Nissan 350Z 345th Anniversary edition. It was easy to install and it fit perfectly in the globe compartment of my Z. I wired a Kicker 40CWD104 subwoofer that truely enhanced the sound of my car. Very easy to use as well.
Pros: Easy to use and instal
This amp delivers good power for 2 svc 12" kickers
Pros: Small and inexpensive
Cons: A control knob would of been useful. But for the prize I can't really complain !
Love the amp next time going bigger
Pros: Its great all the way around
The phrase: "Good Things Come in Small Packages" certainly describes this little powerhouse. I'm running a 12" Polk Audio DXi124DVC and it is Pure Bass Heaven. Thumbs Up to Kicker!!!
Pros: Excellent sound
Cons: None so far
I'm a beginner here so with that in mind I found this amp to match my needs and would recommend it to anyone.
Pros: Great amp
Cons: none that I can think of
Easy to install and place under a seat or mount.
Pros: Has perfect wattage for my subwoofer
I'm in my mid 30's and have been doing high powered car audio for a long time. In the past, I've done the multi-amp systems and pushed over 1200 watts. However, in my 2002 Mustang GT that I race, I wanted less weight. I just put this amp in because it was small, light and cheap. This thing HAMMERS! This is the biggest bang for the buck that I've ever gotten in car audio. I'd easily put it up against most other brands' supposed 500 watt amps.
Pros: Small, lightweight, extremely efficient, very affordable
Cons: Absolutely nothing!
I was a looking for a simple amp that allowed for a high freq connection without a crossover. In the end, I didn't even use that set up. Amp matched perfectly with my sub.
Pros: A lot of flexibility with the setting to get the sound you want.
Cons: None that I can think of.
This amp is super small and super powerful! I was amazed with the results from this amp. It is very small and very durable. Perfect for powering a subwoofer and will fit anywhere.
Pros: small. heavy. durable. powerful.
It is a great amp it fits behind my backseat perfectly.
Pros: It is small

No it is a mono channel amp and there is only 1 channel. Class D amps are already bridged just don't heat up like when bridging a 2 channel amp. [ underwear Dec 04, 2015 ]
Nah man. Works good [ Brent Aug 22, 2014 ]
The amp is great. It has more than enough power for the 10" sub. [ clinton Aug 19, 2014 ]
Nope it should be fine because it is 300 watts at 2 ohms. So you can divide that in half for 4 ohms. So 150 watts would be just fine. Probably just right. [ Adam Aug 19, 2014 ]
Hey Sam, This amp works perfect for my 10" Kicker sub so should work fine for you. [ Bruce Aug 18, 2014 ]
Addendum to my prior answer. After reviewing the product manual it appears the amp will work at 4ohm 150 watts rms. Check the wiring diagram page and pick which setup works best for your subwoofer Apologies for the confusion. Thought it was 2ohm only amp. [ Aaron Aug 17, 2014 ]
This is a 2 ohm amplifier. If your subwoofer is single coil 4 ohm it will now work properly. If the subwoofer is dual voice coil 4 ohm you can use this wiring diagram: 1 DVC 4 ohm mono http://www.crutchfield.com/S-MiP3pw5wfSl/learn/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html It's more power than that subwoofer needs, but if you don't turn the gain up so far as to cause clipping, it'll do nicely and you have room to upgrade. I recommend also buying the remote bass control. The little knob adjuster makes listening to a variety of music a lot more enjoyable. [ Aaron Aug 17, 2014 ]
Thanks for your question. For information on selecting the best amp for your subs I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to help determine the differences between the amp models and help you make the best choice for your system. [ Krissy Aug 16, 2014 ] Staff
I just connected it to the same wires that ran to my old subwoofer, then adjusted volume on the amp to match by ear. The remote bass boost button is then used to tailor it as needed based on the source. [ COLLIN C Aug 14, 2014 ]
Physically no. Ideally you would set the gain for each channel so that at maximum volume there is no distortion. But of course you would want to turn it down to match the volume levels of your other speakers. [ David Aug 13, 2014 ]
No, it all depends on the speakers you are driving in how you make the adjustments [ DOUG E Aug 13, 2014 ]
The gain is an independent control on the amp therefore it will control whatever you have your amp connected to. I'm running a mono setup so my amp is only outputting to my sub(bass). The highs and mids are all controlled from my receiver/deck and output to 4 3-way speakers mounted in my doors. I just played with everything and fine tuned it to get a rich equal sound. I also have the remote for the amp so I can adjust the bass on the fly for whatever type of music I am listening to. I have noticed that on my setup and with previous serious before that when you turn the gain all the way up you will start getting distortion at higher volumes. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions feel free to ask [ SHEA M Aug 13, 2014 ]
No , and it all depends on your type of music also, I adjust mine according to music , hope this helps . James [ JAMES Aug 13, 2014 ]
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: From the information we are provided and looking at the owner's manual it looks as if you will need a remote bass controller for each amplifier individually. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy Mar 31, 2014 ] Staff
