Kicker 41KSC4104

Overview

Our take on the Kicker 41KSC4104

Slim profile

The 41KSC4104 features a slimmer design, making it a perfect fit in more cars.

Slim fit

These KS Series speakers are some of the most installation-friendly Kicker speakers yet. These low-profile speakers feature a reduced mounting depth, making them a match for almost any car.

Pump up the volume

While the low profile is an elegant asset, you'll find the real beauty of Kicker's KS Series speakers inside. The 41KSC4104's highly sensitive design conjures hefty volume even from low-powered factory radios. So, you'll be able to enjoy every bit of their natural sound, starting with a full midbass and midrange experience from the 4"x10" polypropylene woofer and its powerful magnet. You'll also hear subtle vocal and instrumental details from the silk balanced dome tweeter, giving your music a dimension that factory speakers just can't manage.

Only size that fits in my Fiero. They sound good.

2000 Chevrolet Tahoe
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Fit my 2000 Z71 Tahoe (OBS - GMT400) well and sound great, event though Crutchfield's web site said they wouldn't for some reason. Crutchfield automatically included conversion connectors so I didn't have to splice anything. That was impressive!! While the smaller high end speaker isn't angled forward like the stock speaker, they still sound great. I had to do a little modification to the plastic around the mount holes to get a socket around the original bolt. 2 minutes with a Dremel. I could have used the included Phillips head screws, which would have been easier, but the original "bolts" were just a little heavier and shorter so I wanted to use them.

Pros: Sound great - Thanks for the connectors!!

Cons: High end speaker not angled toward front like stock. I had to modify plastic around bold holes just a little to use original bolts.

1987 Chevrolet R Series
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought these for my 1987 Chevy R10 to replace the old, worn out factory speakers. Definitely a HUGE improvement! Additionally, Crutchfield provided all the necessary brackets and wire harnesses to make the install pleasantly easy. I have these paired with the Kicker 41KSC354 4x10's and a Pioneer radio. Truck has a good audio system once again. Only thing missing is a subwoofer. I would definitely recommend to those looking for speakers for their older vehicles.

1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased these for my 1987 Monte Carlo SS. As in some of the other reviews, I had to mark and drill 4 holes in the package shelf support (the metal support under the package shelf). It was fairly easy to do from inside the trunk, an automatic center punch makes life easier. After installing these, the radio sounds soooooo much better! I can now pump up the volume and retain clarity. I will admit that I replaced the original 28 year old speakers but these speakers sound better than many new cars I've driven. My only problem now is I need to replace the front speakers - I have replaced them once before so its not like they're 28 years old, they just can't keep up with the Kickers.

Pros: Great sound!

Cons: Not a direct replacement since I had to drill holes but with a bigger magnet and deeper cone the factory bracket is useless. Again, it was very easy to drill the holes - use a sharp bit and a center punch and it's cake.

1999 Chevrolet Tahoe
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These speakers were just what I needed for the replacement of the factory speakers in my 99 Chevy Tahoe. Perfect for the not to loud or too quiet audience. Perfect fit, easy to install, came with easy to understand instructions. I am thinking of adding a subwoofer as well and I know where to buy it, Crutchfield.

Pros: Easy to install, Perfect fit, came with additional/if needed hardware.

Cons: Nothing that I can think of.

1999 Chevrolet Suburban
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I won't blame the average sound of these speakers on the speaker itself because the narrow aspect ratio of this speaker doesn't lend itself to great performance. That's why almost no one uses the 4 X 10 size, bass is non existent, these work best for your high tones in the system, having said that these speakers are a good upgrade over stock and fit perfectly even tho the Crutchfield website insists they don't fit in the very rear headliner of a 90s Suburban, mine is a 1999, I had no problems with fitment in any way.

Pros: Hard size to find, thanks Crutchfield! Good upgrade to a speaker that would be so much better as a 6 X 9. Fit perfectly in my truck.

Cons: 4 X 10? Why o why, GM really cheaped out on the factory set up. Bass is a no show

1983 Chevrolet Malibu
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I was able to modify the speakers to fit my 83 Malibu rear grills. The mounting holes were undersized for the factory plastic stud. The stock speaker was lighter and only used two spin nuts from the factory although it has 4 studs. I ran a 6mm die carefully over all 4 studs and used machine nuts on all 4 corners. Only time will tell if the factory grill can hold the weight

Pros: Could make them work.

Cons: Needed modification on my car.

1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Have an '86 cutlass 442 to restore and since it's needed...I bought these speakers. Olds factory came with think metal trays to hold up the speakers (which needed to be notified to accommodate for the larger magnet). After doing so, it was five minute install and of course with the included wiring via CRUTCHFIELD! Speakers sounded great (even with original GM radio)!! Thanks!

Pros: Great quality!

Cons: I have not found any. Great speaker for this car (and other g-body types out there).

Great speakers, as always.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These dropped right in to the cargo area of my 96 Subarban. I was advised against it by the associate stating that the speaker basket didn't fit quite right. I was very pleased to find out that they lined up perfectly and bolted/wired nice with the wire adapter.

Pros: Good fit, better sound than stock.

Cons: None yet

They sound awesome especially for an odd size speaker. I replaced the speakers in my 98 S10, the sound was crisp much better than the original speakers. Crutchfield made installation easy by sending everything needed to get the job done. You can't go wrong with Kicker, I highly recommend these speakers!

I still had the stock GM speakers installed...minus the foam ring surrounding the cone, that had disintegrated....completely! These were a lil more $$$ than i wanted to spend, but they turned out to sound great, installed easily in less than 30 mins. Adapter kit that Crutchfield sends with speakers is awesome!!!

Pros: Quality, Great Sound, Decent Pricing, Easy Installation

Cons:

Features

Polypropylene Woofer Cones: The Kicker KS-series speakers feature durable polypropylene woofer cones for power and control. Polypropylene is also resistant to moisture and the temperature extremes found in automotive applications.

Balanced Dome Tweeters: The 1/2" balanced dome silk tweeters provide a smooth high frequency response with a wide dispersion pattern. The tweeters have strong neodymium magnets for higher power handling. A semi-dome tweeter has a dome placed inside a cone. Balanced dome tweeters are semi-dome tweeters with equal reproduction area given the cone and dome portions of the tweeter.
