Pump up the volume

While the low profile is an elegant asset, you'll find the real beauty of Kicker's KS Series speakers inside. The 41KSC464's highly sensitive design conjures hefty volume even from low-powered factory radios. So, you'll be able to enjoy every bit of their natural performance, starting with the surprisingly full sound of the 4"x6" polypropylene woofer and its powerful magnet. Features

Polypropylene Woofer Cones: The Kicker KS-series speakers feature durable polypropylene woofer cones for power and control. Polypropylene is also resistant to moisture and the temperature extremes found in automotive applications.

Balanced Dome Tweeters: The 1/2" balanced dome silk tweeters provide a smooth high frequency response with a wide dispersion pattern. The tweeters have strong neodymium magnets for higher power handling. A semi-dome tweeter has a dome placed inside a cone. Balanced dome tweeters are semi-dome tweeters with equal reproduction area given the cone and dome portions of the tweeter.

Customer Q&A

Q
I have a 1994 GMC SIERRA and was wandering if I can make these fit into the dash corners? I don't know what the difference in these and the others that show a fit would be for these not to fit.

A
There are several limitations in the dash area of your Sierra. For this particular speaker the issue is with the magnet diameter. The magnet on this speaker is about 0.1" too large to fit in the hole in the dash. Your best bet will be to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you all the details on fit and help you track down a great pair of speakers.

Q
Does this speaker handle high volume music well? I have the lower level 4x6 kickers and they get very upset when I turn my volume up to 30 or more on my kenwood.

they handle as loud as I care to listen to in my jeep . I can hear very well even with all the noise from my jeep

They are clear and have a great sound but one of them seems to fail on the bass with high volume. (I like it loud!) I was going to put an amp in to push it better and clear that problem up.

Thanks guys. My description was fairly vague. Lol. My kenwood goes to 35. Just looking for something that wont cut out or get crappy at upper volume.

Hi Donald, I installed these on a '72 Vette with a 300 watt system. They are decent and handle mid to mild upper drive well, don't know what you mean by 30 on your Kenwood. If it's mid to lower upper, these will be fine.

I've never really turned mine up very loud. I drive a wrangler so the speakers are right next to me on all sides. I haven't had any problems with mine

I have an Alpine head unit and don't go over 24 just because it hurts my ears beyond that. I have the 6-1/2s in the front and these 4x6s in the rear with a Rockford Fosgate punch powered sub. It sounds awesome and plenty loud for me. I really don't know how loud they can go.
