Pump up the volume

While the low profile is an elegant asset, you'll find the real beauty of Kicker's KS Series speakers inside. The 41KSC54's highly sensitive design conjures hefty volume even from low-powered factory radios. So, you'll be able to enjoy every bit of their natural sound, starting with a full midbass and midrange experience from the 5-1/4" polypropylene woofer and its powerful magnet. You'll also hear subtle vocal and instrumental details from the silk dome tweeter, giving your music a dimension that factory speakers just can't manage.

Clear with a good amount of low end for 5.25

Noslime from Winston salem nc on 8/25/2016

1997 Jeep Cherokee
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

You dont buy 4" to 6.5" speakers to get bass, but these have a decent amount of punch. These sound clean as well and play much louder than the ones they replaced with just a head unit. I paid the extra $30 to step up to the best coax speakers kicker had to offer and i am very satisfied. Watch out JL! I got the baffels as well, well worth the money i paid. They helped with the rattling. I would also like to point out that my 97 jeep cherokee will not accept 6.5" speakers in the door without cutting the door. The 5.25" fit in perfectly! Crutchfield needs to do some more investigating on their part.

Pros: Clear sound, good low end punch for 5.25" coaxials! 100 RMS to boot!

Cons: None

2004 Jeep Wrangler
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Installing the speakers where very easy, especially with the free wiring harness that Crutchfield provided. The speakers sound good for there size. The speakers are solve as 5-1/4" speakers but if you actually measure the cone it is really about 4". I don't know tons about speakers and there size correspondence to the advertised size and the actual size of the cone, but it was kind of disappointing to see suck a small speaker cone... not a lot of surface area. These are the KS series, are they not supposed to be one of the best that Kicker offers, and if so then why would they not utilize all the space that they could to make a larger cone for push more air to make better louder sound with more bass? All in all, it is a good product for what it is. I recommend Kicker for anyone who want a better sound system in there vehicle. I have a Jeep Wrangler and I have KS 5-1/4" in the front, KS 6-1/2 in the back, and a CompR 12" woofer and it sounds amazing.

Pros: Good construction Good sound quality

Cons:

Good choice for speakers

2005 Honda Accord EX
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I had initially purchased 6 1/2" speakers elsewhere only to find out quickly that they would not fit properly in my daughter's Honda Accord EX without a lot of extra work. So I returned them. Then I find these Kicker 5 1/4" with free mounting and wiring adapter hardware on Crutchfield and boy am I glad I purchased these instead. The included speaker adapters still were not an exact fit and would involve drilling. Instead, I cut out the factory speakers and reused their mounts and the Kicker 41KSC54 speakers fit nicely in the factory mounts. There is a YouTube video of someone reusing the factory mounts, but his MTS did not appear to fit as well as these Kicker brand. I drilled mounting holes in the factory plastic (much easier than drilling into the door sheet metal, I'm sure), used the supplied screws to mount the speakers to the factory mount, installed the supplied wiring adapter and simply snapped the new speakers back into the door. Easy peasy! They sound so much better than the factory speakers these replaced and more importantly, my daughter is extremely satisfied. Thank you Crutchfield!

Pros: Sound quality MUCH better than the factory speakers. Quick work with a Dremel tool allows these 5 1/4" speakers to fit/mount nicely in the factory speaker mount.

Cons: Scosche adapters were not a good fit and required drilling. Lucki!y, I was able to reuse the factory mounts with ease.

Not bad..

Not too impressive

2000 Jeep Wrangler
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Not super impressive - these were recommended by a Crutchfield chat team member as a very good speaker and I wish I would have went with my gut instinct and bought Polk or Pioneer. I had a $200 budget for 4 speakers. I installed in my 2000 Jeep Wrangler replacing 2 front stock speakers with a new aftermarket Pioneer deck I bought at another retailer. To me they sound "tinny" and can't handle much volume. Have to really tweak the settings on the deck to get any decent sound out of them, have to keep adjusting for different types of music because they can't handle the mid or bass of some songs. I've had cheaper speakers that sound better that this without an amp. Might be partially due to the acoustics in my 15 year old jeep, guess I'll deal with them.

Pros: They fit and work???

Cons: Tinny, Can't Handle Volume with a decent Aftermarket Deck, sound like a $40.00 set of speakers.

Great speakers

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I got a pair of these for the rear speakers and the same line in the 6-3/4" size for the front in my new car. Running them off a Soundstream 1000w amp (90w RMS @ 4 ohms) and they sound fantastic. I noticed very little distortion of the high and mid range when the bass really kicks; for an inexpensive door speaker I don't think you can ask for much more in sound quality. Kicker makes some quality products; I used a nice amp kit from them, line output converters, and all speakers (4 interiors and the sub)

Pros: -clear sound -good bass for small door speakers

Cons: -none yet

2014 Jeep Wrangler
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Put these in the dash corners and roll bar of my 2014 Wrangler. Speakers sound great, but the adapter brackets weren't even close to matching up with the shape/bolt pattern on the speaker housings. Took a good deal of cutting, filing, and self tapping of screws to make it work.

Pros: Awesome sound across the full range.

Cons: Install was far from plug and play.

Very Happy

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Very easy to set up, used the smaller spades just like the factory wiring. Very Clear, Very Low for a 5 1/4". Looks very professionally made.

Pros: -As above: very low for a 5 1/4". These are on my rear deck, so they may get some sort of quasi-I.B. going on. -Good sized magnets for the cone size, cone material and surround seem like they will outlast the vehicle these are in. -Silk dome tweeter. For a car, and little to no active EQ, works well. Every metal/plastic in the past has been uncomfortable to listen to. Not with a silk!

Cons: -No cover for the tweeter. I can come up with a little piece of speaker grill cloth to cover them; These things will take on the dust and should have a little protection.

Best speakers ever

Sound is enough deep yet highs are great. So good I can use these rear speakers (if I wanted to) as front speakers. The quality is great.

Pros: Can be great speakers with or without including an amp. Definitely an upgrade over and stock speaker. Would recommend to anyone.

Cons: Beats me at this point.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Outstanding speakers. Easy to install. Far superior to OEM's. Handle a ton of bass and the tweets are remarkable. Adapter brackets worked perfectly. Did not use the grilles due to doors having grills already. Left the OOM tweeters disconnected. The website illustrations do not show the OEM double speakers in the front doors but my sales adviser states I could either keep the tweeters connected or leave them disconnected.

Pros: Easy to install. All around great sound.

Cons: None

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This does fit in the soundbar of the 2015 Jeep Wrangler. I installed 4 of these, 2 in the lower dash and 2 in the overhead soundbar/roll bar. For the dash, you do Not need to remove the whole dash -- just the side panel and glove box on the passenger side and the side panel and the cover under the steering wheel on the driver side.

Pros: great sound for the price

Cons: not a lot of bass needs a lot of parametric equalizer tweaking

The installation of these speakers couldn't have been any easier and they sound great. Extremely pleased with the purchase. Would buy again 10/10.

Pros: Sound, ease of installation, "cool factor"

Cons: The little wire-like cover things that you have to pop off in order to install the speakers seem kind of fragile but they didn't break. Not a big deal.
