Features

Marine-Ready: The Kicker KM series marine coaxial speakers are engineered to meet or exceed industry standards for environmental humidity and corrosion. The speakers feature sealed motors, cones, and locking wire terminal covers.

LEDs: There are multi colored LEDs behind the tweeter casing, to create a glow on the woofer cone. Depending on which of the three power wires has voltage applied, they can light red, green, blue, lime green, magenta, aquamarine, or blue-white. A wireless remote (item number 20641KMLC, sold separately) is also available to control the backlighting. A 12 volt power supply is needed to turn the LEDs on.

Size: The41KM654CWs fit into standard 6-1/2 and 6-3/4 openings (standard car speaker sizes). The frame is bigger than a typical 6-1/2 and the screw hole pattern matches 6-3/4 speakers.

Grilles: Two pair of grilles are included; choose charcoal or white.

Terminal Cover: The speakers feature splash and spray resistant, locking terminal covers. These covers have water-resistant gaskets to prevent terminal corrosion and electrical shorting.

Stainless Steel Hardware: The provided hardware is forged from corrosion-proof stainless steel.

Can you please explain the LED in a little more detail? Can it be turned on and off at will? Does the music effect it (ie it flashes with the music) if so can this feature be turned off?

The LED light is set to one solid color, mine i set to blue because my car is blue, and doesn't change. I heard that you could get an attachment for around 20$ that makes it change colors but that would just be streaming all colors of the rainbow and not actually changing to the music. The light can also be turned off

yes it can be turned off at will. It does not flash to the beat of music. It does have different features as far as brightness and pulsing different colors and speed. Really enjoy them and sound good.

I should have mentioned you can probably add an rf controller to make the lighting give different effects, but that is not provided with the speakers.

Tyler- I bought the speakers a year ago and love the sound quality. The led part is wired totally independent from the sound portion of the speaker. In other words, you need a dedicated power source that gets wired to each speaker so it can be on a switch if you desire. The music or sound does not impact the lights at all - just a steady "on".

I bought 6 Kicker KM8(8" 2way)a year ago. I just bought 6 more in march. Best speaker I've ever had. Yes you can it turned on and off if you set a switch for it. You can buy the remote "not included" and set at your will. Sound do not have effect it in flash but you can get a 12V device to add in the line if wanted, When I tested this Kickers, I just forgot about Sony, Polk, Pioneer, Kenwood, or else......Hope this help.

yes you can turn it on and off and change colors etc if you buy the remote control. I didn hook up the led portion Yet because it requires a separate 12volt connection which I was unaware of when I purchased item.I thought it was powered by the speaker wires. It is behind the speaker cone and flashes through it.

Can be turned on or off via a switch, they wire seperately from the speaker connections. The music does not affect the lights.
