A match made in heaven...or Oklahoma

Kicker's 40TCWRT102 loaded enclosure puts a thumping 10" CompRT subwoofer behind the seat of a truck or in any vehicle that's low on space. The rugged sealed box was designed specifically for the subwoofer, so you can count on getting maximum performance, no matter what kind of tunes you enjoy.

Kicker 40TCWRT102 10" sub enclosure

This thin enclosure can fit behind seats or in areas where space is tight.

Big bass from a CompRT sub

The 10" CompRT sub features a rigid injection-molded polypropylene cone that won't flex and cause distortion while you're cranking the bass. Its rubber surround will last through years of heavy use, combining with a special-design back and top plate to give you more excursion (which equals more bass) than other skinny subs.

Heavy-duty enclosure

Sturdy medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and its sealed design keeps the bass punchy and accurate, without getting sloppy. The enclosure's 2-ohm impedance draws maximum power from your mono amplifier.

Enclosed Subwoofers 101

An enclosed subwoofer is a box with a subwoofer already installed. The advantage to buying an enclosed sub is that the manufacturer made the sub, then designed and built the box as a perfect match, so you'll get the best possible performance. Every enclosed sub has a maximum RMS power handling rating, so pair it with an amp with a similar RMS power rating to get the best performance.

This was purchased to place behind the rear seats in an F250 crew cab. It could not have been a better fit. Box feels strong and the sound complements my stereo system very well.

Pros: Simple install, great for tight area placement, build and sound quality.

Cons: None.

This little speaker gives awesome bass in my quad cab truck. Clear sound can handle all my 400 watt amp gives it.

Pros: Easy to hook up. Fits perfectly under my back seat in my truck.

I love this sub woofer! It gives me just the extra kick I was looking for. I didnt need anything huge that can be heard down the block. Instead its a nice full sound, and rumble right inside the cabin! Perfect sound.

Good add to a factory system if looking for a little more punch. I returned it not what I was looking for in my 14 Tacoma. and bought 2 Jl audio 10w0v3 night and day these are tight an crisp sound

Pros: Box is nice and compact fits in incrediabley small space. Had it behind my driver side rear seat in my Tacoma.fit real nice

Cons: It sounds good at lower volumes but when u turn it up all the bass kind of runs together and sounds muffled like noise not defined bass

Bought this sub because of limited space and the majority of the music I listen to doesn't require harmonics in the sub audible range. Can't speak for the durability but it has served me well for two weeks now.

Pros: Fits in limited space. Meets my requirements for a sub.

Cons: Durability remains to be seen.,

I was downsizing from an Alpine Type-R 12 in a ported box and decided I wanted a small, sealed 10 inch sub. This Kicker caught my eye and got great reviews both here and across the web, so I gave it a shot. It looks good and is built well, but it just did not hit very hard. With its high sensitivity and my very clean 550w at 2 ohms, I expected it to be loud and hard. Unfortunately it did not. I could barely hear it over a pair of Polk Audio 6x9s. I moved it around and played with all of my bass settings, but I just was not impressed. I returned it and got a JL Audio box which sounds much better.

Pros: Small, well-built.

Cons: Just does not seem to produce good clean bass.

Best compact sub I've owned.

The fit, finish, and quality of enclosure is top notch. This sub is compact and perfect for areas that lack room. This fit perfectly in my single cab 1st gen s10. I would recommend to anyone looking for a compact powerful subwoofer. The Kicker 12CX300.1 amp is perfect for this sub.

Pros: Powerful, compact, beautiful enclosure.

Cons: None

Fits perfect behind seat of mid size sing.cab truck. Turned sub to rear of truck instead of front ,which made louder sound. I prev. Owned a JLw7 12" (50lb), but took too much room, this Kicker is perfect fit and shakes mirrors. Paired it with MTX1000.1

Pros: Size, loudness, proffesional build

Cons: No grille guard, must have for tight area slim mounting.

I installed this and the cx600 kicker amp this past weekend in the rear hatch of my 2013 wrangler unlimited. I paired it with the kenwood ddx370. The difference between stock sound and the upgraded sound is phenomenal. For the price I don't think you can do much better. It takes up almost no space which is great, and the thing feels like it is going to blow the hardtop off. I listen to a lot of rock and metal, but I dabble in other genres and the sub performs great with everything.

Pros: Space saving, sturdy design. Clean, loud bass.

Cons: The only grill available from kicker is plastic, which is irritating.

Features

Speaker Terminals: The spring post terminals are mounted on the left side of the enclosure and will accept pin connectors, single or dual (standard 3/4" width) banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.

Woofers: The Kicker 40TCWRT102 enclosure uses one 10" CompRT subwoofer, wired to present a 2Ω load.

Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker CompRT speakers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum low-bass response. The suspension system is very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. A broken-in subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

I think it should fit. I have mine in the trunk of a Subaru legacy sedan tucked away in the corner. [ WILSON  Aug 20, 2015 ]
I don't know exactly how much space the Sierra has in the back but it may fit behind the seat. Check the dimensions and see if you have enough clearance behind or below the seat. Sub is pretty impressive with pretty good lows. [ Benjamin  Aug 20, 2015 ]
Yes. [ Jesse  Aug 20, 2015 ]

This sealed enclosure has a 10" sub [ William  Jun 03, 2015 ]
No, it's a sealed enclosure with a 10" sub. However, due to the small enclosure size, it doesn't do as well with lows as a normal 10" sub would. [ The Charlee Joh  Jun 03, 2015 ]
This is a ten inch [ Peter  Jun 03, 2015 ]
