A match made in heaven...or Oklahoma

Kicker's 40TCWRT104 loaded enclosure puts a thumping 10" CompRT subwoofer behind the seat of a truck or in any vehicle that's low on space. The rugged sealed box was designed specifically for the subwoofer, so you can count on getting maximum performance, no matter what kind of tunes you enjoy.

Kicker 40TCWRT104 10" sub enclosure

This thin enclosure can fit behind seats or in areas where space is tight.

Big bass from a CompRT sub

The 10" CompRT sub features a rigid injection-molded polypropylene cone that won't flex and cause distortion while you're cranking the bass. Its rubber surround will last through years of heavy use, combining with a special-design back and top plate to give you more excursion (which equals more bass) than other skinny subs.

Heavy-duty enclosure

Sturdy medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and its sealed design keeps the bass punchy and accurate, without getting sloppy. The enclosure's 4-ohm impedance allows compatibility with a wide range of amplifiers.

Product Highlights:

  • sealed truck-style enclosure with one 10" CompRT subwoofer
  • 3/4" medium-density fiberboard construction covered with carpet
  • 4-ohm total impedance
  • power handling: 100-400 watts RMS (800 watts peak power)
  • frequency response: 25-500 Hz
  • sensitivity: 97 dB
  • 19-3/8"W x 11-3/4"H x 6-3/8"D1 x 3-3/4"D2
  • warranty: 1 year
  • Our 60-day money-back guarantee

Enclosed Subwoofers 101

An enclosed subwoofer is a box with a subwoofer already installed. The advantage to buying an enclosed sub is that the manufacturer made the sub, then designed and built the box as a perfect match, so you'll get the best possible performance. Every enclosed sub has a maximum RMS power handling rating, so pair it with an amp with a similar RMS power rating to get the best performance.

I moved up from a Kicker 8" to this 10", and couldn't be happier. It gives me great 'Feel It' 'Tight' bass and that's what I wanted. I also loved their 8", but not enough punch for me. I'm running a JL Audio Amp, and they make a perfect match. You can tell when you lift it, it's a quality sub, which probably means it has a nice big magnet - That's what I like!. The other thing that I like is the great looking enclosure. Love the embroidered logo, even though that has nothing to do with sound. They paid attention to detail when they built it. Highly recommend this Sub!!

Pros: Nice tight, feel it bass, especially when you crank it up!

Cons: None that I can think of.....

This sub is smooth with deep bass and compliments my 4 Focal 6.5s. I have this sub hooked up to a Kicker CX1200.1 at 600w rms and does not even break a sweat. Get this now.

Pros: The enclosure is mobile and can fit behind any seat or in trunk. Performance is outstanding.

Cons: None yet

Great for any vehicle

My friend and i installed this sub into my '05 F150 and it is PLENTY enough for pickup-size and lower vehicles. The bass is so crisp and beautiful....has about as big of a punch as my brothers 2 10" kickers and the bass knob on the amp is only half way up!...All i have for an amp is the 500 watt alpine one on this site and it does perfectly fine(even tho its only putting out 300 watts to it)

Pros: Crisp to ear-pounding bass worth the money small convienent box it comes in

Cons: none so far

Product Research

Speaker Terminals: The spring post terminals are mounted on the left side of the enclosure and will accept pin connectors, single or dual (standard 3/4" width) banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.

Woofers: The Kicker 40TCWRT104 enclosure uses one 10" CompRT subwoofer, wired to present a 4Ω load.

Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker CompRT speakers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum low-bass response. The suspension system is very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. A broken-in subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

Customer Q&A

1 question already asked

I bought the Kicker 40TCWRT104 subwoofer for my 1991 Toyota truck. It's a small single cab truck with little room behind the bench seat when it's slid all the way back. This subwoofer is the smallest 10" unit I could find and just fit the space behind the bench seat on the passenger side. Puts out good sound in my little cab too. [ Steven  Nov 19, 2015 ]
Haven't torn it apart to see the actual info on it but you can see the specs on Kicker's website. [ Steven  Nov 19, 2015 ]
