Kicker 40TCWRT122 12" sub enclosure

This thin enclosure can fit behind seats or in areas where space is tight.

Big bass from a CompRT sub

The 12" CompRT sub features a rigid injection-molded polypropylene cone that won't flex and cause distortion while you're cranking the bass. Its rubber surround will last through years of heavy use, combining with a special-design back and top plate to give you more excursion (which equals more bass) than other skinny subs.

Heavy-duty enclosure

Sturdy medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and its sealed design keeps the bass punchy and accurate, without getting sloppy. The enclosure's 2-ohm impedance draws maximum power from your mono amplifier.

Features

Speaker Terminals: The spring post terminals are mounted on the left side of the enclosure and will accept pin connectors, single or dual (standard 3/4" width) banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.

Woofers: The Kicker 40TCWRT122 enclosure uses one 12" CompRT subwoofer, wired to present a 2Ω load.

Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker CompRT speakers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum low-bass response. The suspension system is very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. A broken-in subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

It should fit fairly nice. I had it in a Crew Cab 2007 Tundra and only lost one notch on the seat. Hope that helps. It's a nice sounding sub.

I believe so.

It will fit with some modification. Two metal tabs on the aft bulkhead and a bolt on the floor that I believe is for the jack will have to be removed. With those removed, it will fit in the center between the pressure equalizers and it has plenty of clearance from the seats. Mine is 2500HD and I don't know if the standard 2500 is different.

I wondered the same thing about my 2013 gmc 3/4T crew cab... I ultimately decided that it PROBABLY wouldn't fit behind the seat... Might have been because it fit under the seat so perfectly.

THis box sounds great under my back seat of my Toyota Tundra. Running on a 600w kicker amp. I would believe you will enjoy it in your Honda. If you're looking for extreme loud bass then it might not be your best option. If you want a medium good sounding bass this will work. I would recommend two 12s regular size for extreme bass. Or I would assume two of these on a 1600 watt amp would be nice and a bit loud.

Yes, i have this box in a 03 honda civic and it gives me just the right amount of bass to blend in with my aftermarket speaker. ( pair of Hertz Energy 6.5 components and Hertz Energy 6x9, powered by an alpine pdx 4 channel) doesn't give up a lot of trunk space

Don't know. It didn't work for a 2003 Ford F150 so we returned it.

I put the 12 under the back seat of a f150 supercrew and it was just a little too big. The 10 inch fit completely under the seat---this is on the f150 supercrew.
