They actually were a second choice after trying the Kenwood KFC-1361S speakers I originally bought, but swapped out after calling the support line. The KS525's are perfect compliment to the stock rear speakers in terms of bass and the highs still received by hooking up the tweeters which are separate in the Concert II system. For whatever reason, power rating, magnet size, who knows, the Kenwoods were not able to do this. I called Crutchfield support, was recommended the KS525's and now we are set. One other note. The wiring harness provided does not accomodate the adding of the Concert II Tweeters to the speakers. Those had to be added manually. Not a big deal, just something to note for Buick owners with the 6 speaker system like mine. Was this review helpful? I found last year's model on "scratch and dent" for less than half the price new and bought those. the performance of these Kickers is amazing! The highs are very clear and it will give a little bass but I prefer all high frequency from the crossovers on the deck and amp filters to these speakers...my 6x9's give me the highs, and mid bass i need. Overall nice speakers...they also lok really cool with the grills...crutchfield's speaker adapters and info books on how to intall for free made me a very happy customer. They definitely sound alot better than the factory ones, running off a pioneer head unit. They were very well worth the money, but I bought at a generous discount; if I had paid full price, I think I would have tried a different brand. They do perform very well compared to any I've owned in the past, but the original price was much higher than any I've owned in the past.The free install gear was kind of nice, although it did need some single sided foam tape from the hardware store to seal up the speakers to the mounts.
