This kit delivers all the power and signal your system needs

Your amplifier needs hefty power and ground wiring in order to deliver the big power you want. Kicker's CK8 amp wiring kit includes the power, ground, turn-on, and signal wiring for any amplifier with a fuse rating of up to 60 amperes. This kit is suitable for an amplifier with a maximum output of about 400 watts RMS for a Class AB amp or about 600 watts RMS for a Class D amp.

Includes patch cable and speaker wire

The CK8 kit includes a 17-foot, 2-channel twisted pair patch cable that'll send the signal reliably from the receiver to your amp with minimal noise. Also, Kicker provides 40 feet of 16-gauge speaker wire, enough to take care of both the front and rear speakers in most installations. Kicker makes all their wires from oxygen-free copper so you can count on maximum power and signal transfer with minimum resistance or interference.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

nice kit, easy to use, good quality cables.

Pros: nice kit, easy to use, plenty of good quality cable.

Cons: I wish it had protective loom on the whole + cable instead of just the 3 or so feet like on this cable, and a little pricey for the kit.

Everything you ever need!

Everything You Need

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Came with everything needed for install, with plenty of length to spare. This was my first install, so it was nice to see they marked where to install the fuse in the power cable. I also liked the jacket color of the power cable going to the battery, as it blends in with the other wires in the engine bay and makes for a clean install.

Pros: Plenty of cable length Everything you need

Cons: None

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Had everything I needed to hook up a mono amp to a sub box. Even ended with some unused scraps. High quality wires that look good if you can't cover them up and are easy to work with.

Pros: Everything.

Cons: Could probably be cheaper but you have the piece of mind knowing the kit has everything you'll need.

Great

Kicker CK8 Harness

Written by: gatorguy from Kokomo, Indiana on March 28, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Everything you need is included in this package, down to terminals and hardware. The cables were the perfect length, so everything "fit". I did alot of research about harnesses because I first thought that wires were wires. WRONG! The best demonstration was on the Kicker website. They showed real tests using inferior harnesses vs Kicker harnesses. All were 8awg, but all were not made from quality materials. The Kicker harness uses silver-tinned copper-stranded wires. This allows me to use all of my watts and amps without any significant loss. Other harnesses that use aluminum wires can loose as much as 15% to 20% of their power over their full length. You don't get what you paid for. Crutchfield was helpful to get me to understand this and actually directed me to the video. I'm glad I didn't cheap-out on the harness! Thanks Crutchfield! I feel like I have a superior set-up. I'd definitely recommend this product to anybody wanting to do a perfect install.

Pros: Everything you need

Cons: None

amp kit

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This kit was perfect for what I needed. I used everything in the box and the installation went perfectly. I had to change the fuse from 60 to 30, because the amp required a 40 amp inline fuse. Going lower in fuse size just protects my investment a little bit more. Another nice thing is that since I bought the Kicker amp and wiring kit at the same time, I will get an extra year of warranty! Thanks Crutchfield, I love what you have done for my truck. My whole stereo system is through your company and I love the quality and service. I will never go anywhere else!

Pros: Just what you need, quality wire and connections. Gets the job done.

Cons: No backup fuses...Just one extra fuse would make this kit perfect!

We actually recommend the step-up kit from this for the CX600.1 amp. You can find that kit here: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_206CK4/Kicker-CK4.html [ Jeff  Jan 22, 2016 ]  Staff
yea just cut off like 1/2inch of the rubber off [ Thomas  Feb 09, 2015 ]
On the power wire, you have two grey sleeves about an 1.5" long each with a 2" or so gap between. I believe these two sleeves were added to keep the black mesh from unraveling. You will cut between the two grey sleeves and add the inline fuse there. Be sure to trim back some of the mesh with scissors so the wire fits into the fuse openings easier...it's a snug fit! Tighten the allen screws and done! [ Scott  Feb 06, 2015 ]
Yes. Cut about 6 inches to a foot behind the ring terminal connector and install the fuse box there. [ Max  Feb 06, 2015 ]
I cut mine between the two close heat shrinks to mount the fuse. [ MICHAEL  Feb 06, 2015 ]
Yes you do. Also keep the fuse close to the battery. (Within 18 inches would do) [ Leandro  Feb 06, 2015 ]
Yes.. some people like to have it by the speaker but it is best to have it as close to the power supply as you can.. [ JOSH  Feb 06, 2015 ]
Yes you have to cut through the power cord to install the fuse. I bought the same product and just screwed my fuse about 2 feet from the battery. I hoped this helps! [ James  Feb 06, 2015 ]
