The specially designed port gives you more bass without sounding sloppy.

Two hard-hitting CompS subs

Each 12" CompS sub features a flex-resistant polypropylene cone for hard-hitting lows without distortion, with a ribbed foam surround that promotes long excursion and helps to keep the cones on target. A heavy-duty steel basket provides a reliable foundation for big bass, and extensive venting ensures long-lasting performance that won't break down when the bass gets heavy.

Heavy-duty enclosure

Sturdy medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and the special-design side port delivers more bass without getting sloppy. The enclosure's 2-ohm impedance draws maximum power from your mono amplifier.

Features

Speaker Terminals: The single pair of spring post terminals is mounted on the left side of the enclosure and will accept pin connectors, single or dual banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.

2Ω Load: The two subwoofers are internally wired to present a 2Ω load.

Woofers: The Kicker 40DCWS122 enclosure uses two 12" CompS subwoofers for loud, great-sounding bass.

  • Ribbed Surround: The optimized ribbed polyurethane helps eliminate flex and distortion.
  • Spiralead Tinsel Leads: The durable Spiralead tinsel leads are woven into the woofer's spider, for added strength and reliability.
  • Steel Basket with Vented Pole Piece: The steel basket's vented pole piece and Kicker's Quad Venting slots contribute to the woofers' efficient cooling and durability.

Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker CompS speakers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum low-bass response. The suspension system is very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. A broken-in subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

Q

A
Is that 800w MAX or RMS?? If MAX then NO.. It WILL work however be very weak
mike  May 21, 2016
A
No you are going to need a bigger amp at least a 3500 w. I have the same subs with a 1200 w and they turn off if i increase the volume.
alejandro  May 01, 2016
A
If you are going to buy these and not run them to even close to its capabilities, you may as well just buy the two 10" subs. These subs are excellent and run beautiful when you give it its potential. Kind of like buying a ZO6 Corvette and running regular gas in it
kyle  Apr 18, 2016
A
They will handle it fine. However, I would suggest not driving them into distortion.

kyle  Feb 11, 2016
A
I'm pretty sure it will fit. It fits in trunk of my 2008 civic si. Just make sure port on side of box can breath.

Q
Will this fit in my 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 crew cab?
jj_bass  Jan 11, 2016

A
(In my opinion) It's definitely not the best choice for any Crew Cab. This is a BIG box that needs a large, flat surface to sit on. I doubt it would fit in a non-modified crew cab.
alexander  Jan 13, 2016
A
To big too fit behind seat.
william  Jan 12, 2016
A
In the bed, yes... In the back seat IF you flip up your seats, yes... Underneath the seats like a truck SHOULD be, no... Just get the regular subs not in box and get shorty boxes to go underneath your rear seats for that CLEAN LOOK
kyle  Jan 11, 2016
A
It will fit but youll have to use your backseat
miguel  Jan 11, 2016
A
If they want the box sitting on the rear seat, it will fit.
stephen  Jan 11, 2016
A
Do you want to put it under seats? If so I doubt it will fit because it a pretty big box. Plus it vented so you want room for it to breath. You probable want to look for shallow 10" or 12" & truck box. I've got this box in trunk of my Honda si & takes up almost 3/4 of trunk.
