A match made in heaven...or Oklahoma

The specially designed port gives you more bass without sounding sloppy.

Two hard-hitting CompS subs

Each 12" CompS sub features a flex-resistant polypropylene cone for hard-hitting lows without distortion, with a ribbed foam surround that promotes long excursion and helps to keep the cones on target. A heavy-duty steel basket provides a reliable foundation for big bass, and extensive venting ensures long-lasting performance that won't break down when the bass gets heavy.

Heavy-duty enclosure

Sturdy medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and the special-design side port delivers more bass without getting sloppy. The enclosure's 2-ohm impedance draws maximum power from your mono amplifier.

Wonderful hard and crisp hitting subs! Hits very low notes and still sounds amazing. Very nice appearance from outside, looks awesome! Easy to hook up and get started. ONLY con- they are heavy, I mean 79lbs heavy. Thats good so they don't shift around at all (when they're in your vehicle), but bad when your installing them/moving them in tight spaces!!

Pros: Hard hits, loud, and wonderful look

Cons: super heavy, big

Great Subs

Bass to the max, Haven't even broken them in yet and they sound incredible! free back massage with every song, I would not recommend keeping small animals in the vehicle when at full volume, or any animal for that matter, full volume is just incredible.

Pros: super strong bass easy set up sturdy carpeted enclosure

Cons: no protection for the subs, open to all flying debris, personally I'm going to have a fitted piece of glass mounted to protect from any debris

Good price, good sound

Looks great. Built strong and sturdy. Very easy to hookup. I am not even close to it's max power handling, and it is very loud and clear. I primarily listen to rap with it and it sounds great.

Pros: Strong. Looks great. Loud. Clear.

Cons: Heavy. Takes up a lot of room, but it is well worth the sound, and it looks great.

These subs and enclosure really are an incredible deal. They look awesome, come fully assembled, and come pre-bridged at a total 2 ohm impedance, which really utilizes the potential of your amp. These subs rattle my brain pushing only 250 watts apiece, but they are capable of 600 RMS, 1200 MAX! The subs and the box work in great harmony, creating really deep and smooth bass. All components have a very solid, sturdy feel. I didn't even know you could buy this amount of pro-quality sound for 300 bucks, I would definitely recommend.

Pros: Box is carpeted and has cool design, high quality sound, great deal

Cons: None

These subs are a perfect set for anyone whose not trying to break the bank but wants that nice thump... these are the subs to get.

Pros: Amazing sound when you get the same brand amplifier. I paired it with a kicker dx 500.1 mono amp and they sound badass!

Cons: A little bit too big, couldn't make the subs go through into my trunk... so if you plan on getting these subs don't be like me and not measure your trunk size before buying them. But overall, these are some crazy loud subs.

So far so good with these subs. Great bass pushing from my Kenwood Amp. The ported enclosure is a nice touch and for the price point, this is a good deal.

Pros: Nice bass, great price

Cons: None so far

This sub enclosure hits pretty hard, i only have it running off of a 500w peak kicker @ 2 ohms (less than half power). I only picked this thing up for this price which was practically a steal considering prices on most "high" quality subs. The box is nice and sturdy and has some decent weight to it so you don't have to worry about anything getting beat up in the trunk or wherever.

Pros: Sturdy box, quality subs, great value.

Cons: None i can think of anyway.

Features

Speaker Terminals: The single pair of spring post terminals is mounted on the left side of the enclosure and will accept pin connectors, single or dual banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.

2Ω Load: The two subwoofers are internally wired to present a 2Ω load.

Woofers: The Kicker 40DCWS122 enclosure uses two 12" CompS subwoofers for loud, great-sounding bass.

  • Ribbed Surround: The optimized ribbed polyurethane helps eliminate flex and distortion.
  • Spiralead Tinsel Leads: The durable Spiralead tinsel leads are woven into the woofer's spider, for added strength and reliability.
  • Steel Basket with Vented Pole Piece: The steel basket's vented pole piece and Kicker's Quad Venting slots contribute to the woofers' efficient cooling and durability.

Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker CompS speakers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum low-bass response. The suspension system is very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. A broken-in subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

If you are going to buy these and not run them to even close to its capabilities, you may as well just buy the two 10" subs. These subs are excellent and run beautiful when you give it its potential. Kind of like buying a ZO6 Corvette and running regular gas in it [ Kyle  Apr 18, 2016 ]
They will handle it fine. However, I would suggest not driving them into distortion. [ Stephen  Apr 18, 2016 ]
For additional details on fit or installation please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on if this will fit and what you will need for an installation in your vehicle. [ Kenny  Mar 02, 2016 ]  Staff
Type your car in on the website and it will tell you what fits in there [ Ryan  Mar 02, 2016 ]
yes, but if you ever plan to use your trunk then I wouldn't get these I have this exact box in a Ford F-150 and it takes up 75% of my backseat, they sound amazing don't get me wrong I love them but the box is hugeeeee and they are like 100 pounds I think. [ Thomas  Mar 01, 2016 ]
Yes it will [ MIGUEL  Feb 12, 2016 ]
I do believe it will fit; however, I would suggest taking a few measurements to make sure. [ Stephen  Feb 11, 2016 ]
Measure your truck dimensions....... It fit in my buick and in my mustang [ Kyle  Feb 11, 2016 ]
I'm pretty sure it will fit. It fits in trunk of my 2008 civic si. Just make sure port on side of box can breath. [ Nick  Feb 11, 2016 ]
(In my opinion) It's definitely not the best choice for any Crew Cab. This is a BIG box that needs a large, flat surface to sit on. I doubt it would fit in a non-modified crew cab. [ Alex  Jan 13, 2016 ]
To big too fit behind seat. [ WILLIAM  Jan 12, 2016 ]
In the bed, yes... In the back seat IF you flip up your seats, yes... Underneath the seats like a truck SHOULD be, no... Just get the regular subs not in box and get shorty boxes to go underneath your rear seats for that CLEAN LOOK [ Kyle  Jan 11, 2016 ]
It will fit but youll have to use your backseat [ Miguel  Jan 11, 2016 ]
If they want the box sitting on the rear seat, it will fit. [ Stephen  Jan 11, 2016 ]
Do you want to put it under seats? If so I doubt it will fit because it a pretty big box. Plus it vented so you want room for it to breath. You probable want to look for shallow 10" or 12" & truck box. I've got this box in trunk of my Honda si & takes up almost 3/4 of trunk. [ Nick  Jan 11, 2016 ]
For details on fit or installation please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on if this will fit and what you will need for an installation in your vehicle. [ Krissy  Jul 08, 2015 ]  Staff
