Overview Details Staff Reviews Customer Reviews Category Info Accessories Our take on the Kicker iK100 by Ralph Graves Kicker knows how to pack a big punch into a compact audio system, and that's just what they did with the iKick100. Only about the size of a brick, this system pumps out some serious sound thanks to its innovative design. Twin full-range speakers are positioned to create a spacious stereo sound field. A flared port built into the cabinet reinforces the low tones, ensuring your music sounds rich and full. And thanks to advanced amplifier circuitry, you can turn the volume all the way up and enjoy your music without distortion. Want more? OK, how about a USB charging port in the back? Charge your PDA while your docked iPod cranks out the tunes. There's also an auxiliary input so you can even play songs from your PDA once it's charged. From the review Kicker iK100 -- small system, surprisingly big sound "The iK100... didn't take up much space on my desk, yet it performed better than I expected from a desktop speaker system that small. All in all I was very happy with the Kicker iK100. Regardless of what type of music I selected, it did a great job, and was a welcome addition to my work area." Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. Purchased this for my son's birthday along with an ipod. I'm a bit of an audiphile so I wanted something for him that had good sound quality for it's price. My wife wanted something that cleanly fit on his dresser, and was small. This was a perfect solution, the sound volume and quality is amazing for it's size, the build quality appears to be very good, with easy to access controls and usable remote. 2 out of 2 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. This is a very nice little dock. I actually expected it to be larger so if you are considering it do check the size as it is just under 9 inches wide. I did not check that and had thought it would be larger. So when it arrived I was surprised. You can tell by the care they took packaging this dock that Kicker is a quality company. The first thing I liked is that it is black but looks like it may be painted black rather than plastic black. If so the advantage will be that it will not get scratchy looking with repeated dusting like my Logitech clock radio ipod dock that is also very nice. This is AC only; many similar units have rechargeable batteries. For my desk next to the computer this is not a problem. I listen to talk stream live during the day and some iPhone compatible docks do not function properly as they have been designed to work with the iPod function for playback only. Playing internet radio on some models will make them shut down for lack of playback coming from the iPod program part of the iPhone. TSL has lots of commercials so the MUTE function on the remote is essential and on this remote it is on the top right corner. Aux input for other phones and mp3 players. The sound is excellent for a speaker system of the size. Looks great on the desk. Everyone who sees it will want one. 12 out of 12 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Great Product Written By C.J., Murrells Inlet SC on Saturday, January 07, 2012 My "old" Ipod was recalled, and Apple replaced it with a 6th gen. nano. It would not fit my old dock, so I went shopping for a new one. I knew from previous experience that Crutchfield only sold products that they have tested, so how could I go wrong? I ordered this unit from "scratch & dent" and applied a $19.00 "points" credit so I only paid around $90.00! What a deal -- I'm overjoyed with the sound and how it fits a small space -- The only thing not small is the sound. Great product I highly recommend. Pros: Great size, great sound.
