Kicker Amphitheater powered Bluetooth speaker system with 30-pin ipod dock

Big sound — Kicker style

The Amphitheater houses two 5" woofers for clear mids and midbass, while , and two silk dome 3/4" tweeters ensure crystal-clear highs. The rear-mounted 6" square passive radiator in the back reinforces the lows, giving you big, beefy bass. Put it all together and you've got a system that can really deliver the audio goods.

KICKSTART app adds options

Download the free KICKSTART app to your Android™ or Apple portable to expand the capabilities of the Amphitheater. Through the app you can adjust the treble and bass or choose from eight EQ settings, four of which are customizable.

Digging the track you're playing at the moment? The app lets you share it through Facebook with your friends. KICKSTART also automatically connects your smartphone or tablet to the Amphitheater — no messing about with settings. And if you were interrupted in your last session, the Auto Play feature will start the song up when you reconnect, right at the point where it stopped.

Q
Will this or other models allow you to answer & have conversation while paired? How far is the pairing distance???

A
I only used it for music. My pairing distance outside on my deck was 12-15 feet.
frank  Jul 19, 2014

Hey Mike, You can use your phone the same as always when it is paired . You can't have a conversation thru the kicker but after you have complete your phone activity it's back to the music. The Bluetooth range is awesome . I use a iPhone 5 and an iPad both probably from 50 to 60 feet away. If you have a party guest and they want to stream music you must first turn off other Bluetooth devices in order for a new to work. I don't think you will be disappointed with kicker. Two buddies have a Bose system that cost twice as much and they think the kicker sounds better. Everyone that comes over is impressed with the range and sound quality.
nicholson  Jul 19, 2014
A
Approximately 30 feet
larry  Jul 19, 2014
A
The Music will stop and allow you to answer your phone. The distance varies based on line of site it seems. I would say 35-45 feet most of the time. Then it starts to skip out a bit.

Q
What is the difference between the few different models? I noticed there is 2 more expensive models, what am I losing by going with this mid level model? Thanks!

Sum r portable. This one is not. U need a power source. Plus this model sounds much better when it has a wall behind it due to small rear firing sub. But for the price its a win. If u lookin for sumthing portable i would suggest sumthing waterproof n small.

james  Jun 05, 2014

It needs to be plugged in. It's not a portable. It is actually kind of awkward to move around.
frank  Jun 05, 2014

Q
Does the power adapter accept 240v input? (if it does, the power supply would say "input 100 to 240v" on the sticker on the back)
ryan  Jun 04, 2014

A
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: Most of our merchandise is for the North American market and only for 120v including this Kicker unit. We usually don't sell dual voltage units, sorry. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.

If Your TV Has Bluetooth Im Sure You Can Get Them To Sync, If Not It Would Have To BE With The Aux Input On The Back Of The speaker
michael  May 19, 2014
A
If your television has an auxiliary jack for a n aux cord; yes you can, or if your tv has a Bluetooth feature, you can pair the device that way as well.
lovell  May 19, 2014

If your TV has Bluetooth it would work but if it doesn't I don't think it's possible
gilbert  May 19, 2014

When I used headphone jack it seemed like it was coming out of only one speaker and I couldn't get any sound when I tried using TV audio out. I tried the cable box and it worked, but wasn't very loud at all compared to bluetooth from my phone? Any suggestions? Thanks
seth  May 18, 2014
A
Yes with an in/out cord the connection is on the back of the amphitheatre speak and you will have to buy a special cord. This cord must have a red connector and a white connector on one end for your TV and a single connector on the other end for amphitheatre speaker. It works very well. This speaker makes an excellent home theater speaker; even better than speakers created for home theater. Good Luck!
dana lynn  May 18, 2014
A
Yes, it has an 1/8" input. How totally depends on your TV. If you have an 1/8" output like our TV then just plug an 1/8" to 1/8" cable and you're great. Otherwise you might need a cable that is red/white stereo to 1/8"
logan  May 18, 2014
A
It has an analog auxiliary input in the back. (1/8" / 3.5 mm Mini stereo jack) You will need an adapter cable to your TV to match what your TV has to offer. You can get the signal from either the headphone output or RCA audio outputs (often these are a red & white pair).
michael  May 18, 2014
A
Depends on the TV. If you have analog audio out (older TV's), you need to figure out whether it's two RCA jacks (red and white) or a headphone jack. The cable needs to mate that TV analog audio out jack (red and white RCA audio out jack or headphone jack) to the mini audio in jack in the back of the Kicker (the mini audio in jack in the Kicker is just an "headphone jack", but its an audio in jack instead of an audio out jack). If your TV has a digital audio out (coaxial or fiberoptic), then you additionally need to buy an audio digital to analog converter, (DAC) and then run the analog audio cable from the DAC to the min audio input jack in the Kicker.

michael  Jul 18, 2014

There is an application (I think it micght be called Kickstart) that runs on IOS or Android that has the EQ adjustments. Unfortunately, the Andorid version is not avaialbe for my Kindle, so I can't give more specific details.
michael  Mar 24, 2014
A
I'm pretty sure you have to download the kickstart app and make all the adjustments through that app. I have a Samsung Galaxy 3 phone and the app doesn't work with it for some reason.
korylee  Mar 24, 2014
A
You know i tried thru the app on my play store it's not working properly I've called Kicker and they have said to erase and re download still no luck. This Kicker sounds good already I could just imagine how it would sound with that.
kevin  Mar 24, 2014

You must adjust the equalizer according to the music you're listening to
gilbert  Mar 24, 2014

I prefer the Classical/Jazz setting to listen to most music and I will turn up the bass some then as needed. I hope that is helpful.
