Very impressive !!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

If you want something equally at home on a desk/ bookshelf or following you outside ,that's sized just right , look no further. The volume is downright impressive , as is the sound quality . It lives up to Kicker's reputation & I am very happy with it.

Pros: Sound ! Easy to set up Impressive low end

Cons: Could use some sort of a carry handle.

Good wireless system

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It is a good system that is semi portable for anywhere that has a power outlet. It is a pretty complete system. It has full range of sound. There is a Kicker app that is supposed to help with sound, and it can, but you have to work with it some to get the better sound. It took me a bit of trial and error, and I still don't think it is perfect. If you are looking for something to play music from a phone or tablet, this is a great option if you don't need it to run on batteries. Even though it isn't exactly portable, it is light enough that my wife has no trouble moving it around the house if she wants to use this in a different room.

Pros: High's, low's and everything in between. full sound system in one. great price for what you get. has a remote. great for around the house.

Cons: the sound controls, as in the EQ is simple enough, but requires some work to get it right. not very portable

This is my second Ampitheater and I am very satisfied with the Bluetooth. In my opinion it is one of the best Bluetooth speakers in the market.

Pros: Sonido muy claro grasias a diferentes bosinas, si bajo esta buscando el subwoofer en la parte de atras no lo va a defraudar. Very clear sound thanks to the different speakers, the subwoofer in the back part of the unit never fails in producing the low notes.

Cons: No hay There are none.

Good Not Great

Written By Dunamis, Honolulu, HI on Tuesday, July 01, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a decent product for the money, I gave it 4 stars for this reason. I paid $175, hundreds less than a higher end product. I use it in my garage for music and it sounds decent and gets loud. The sound is not Audiophile quality, thus why it's in the garage. The looks are not high end, all plastic. I purchased the NAD for my bedroom, it is more stylish and more $$$.

Pros: Good Sound For $$$

Cons: Distorts at higher volumes, not as clean sounding as more expensive units.

This Bluetooth speaker is semi mobile and packs much better full range than any others I've used. The integrated subwoofer does a good job with the low end frequencies. It was easy to setup and connects easily to my devices.

Pros: Small footprint Good low end sound

Cons: Not the cheapest but good performance

We are very happy with the purchase of this amphitheater. Wanted an upgrade from a little dock player without spending tons of $. The app for the player to control and adjust it is very cool. Great sound for the price. Although didn't realize it didn't have a radio.

Pros: Great sound for the price and Bluetooth ready

Cons: No radio.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Excellent product, excellent sound

Pros: Very loud, does not distort at high volumes, excellent bass for a smaller radio

Cons: Kicker app does not seem to work with the Galaxy S3. Have seen similar complaints and the only thing they tell you is to re-install the app but that doesn't seem to work. A handle on this unit for portability would be fantastic

Sounds Fantastic - Real Volume

Written By astbear, Pulaski, TN on Wednesday, June 04, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Good price. Loud without distortion and powerful bass. Great for outdoor events in a small package. But for some reason I thought this thing is portable. I looked at so many different ones. It needs AC power to work. No battery. This is why I didn't give it 5 stars. I wish I bought one that is portable and not this one.

Pros: Good sound and performs as good as a Bose.

Cons: Not portable. It needs AC power and power supply is clunky. It's a pain to haul around with an extension cord.

Needs EQ

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Sounds good But. It really needs a little help to sound great. the App does not seem to work with android phones even though they claim it will. Buyer beware of that. still sounds good. a handle would be nice

Pros: A step in the right direction for Bluetooth speaker

Cons: Needs equalizer. App claims to do that just not for androids apparently, had I known that I don't think would have spent the money for this. No handle makes it a little less portable

Kicking Speakers

Written By JT, Columbus, OH on Tuesday, May 27, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Speakers were purchased to give family more quality sound when sharing music from their phones. For the price, these speakers take that way over the top. While the bass does not shake the house (Did I really want that anyway?) the sound quality rivals a full system and allows for a dance party, rather than just a sharing of headphones.

Pros: Easy to Pair, Big Sound

Excellent product!!!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this for my husband and he loves it!! This is an excellent speaker for the price! It sounds like a complete stereo system you would usually spend a lot of money on. It sounds amazing! It is also great for tailgating . We took it tailgating and the people next to us actually turned their high dollar stereo system off because they like the way ours sounded better!! I am a very satisfied customer and I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a great stereo sound experience without paying a high price!

I work in a manufacturing plant which requires employees to wear earplugs; and this system still puts out!!! Tuggers ride by pulling noisy loads bobbing their heads to my music! This amphitheater rocks on all levels! Very pleased with my purchase thus far

Pros: The wireless playback and simultaneous phone charging if needed; the unique build of this unit

Cons: No handle for easy tote but whose complaining

Great Bluetooth Speaker

Written By Sako K., Los Angeles, CA on Thursday, February 27, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

If you are looking for a powerful, semi-portable speaker with great sound quality, this is it. Love the fact that it does not have a docking station that becomes obsolete with time. Crutchfield had the best price on the web, but it wasn't in stock when I placed the order. To my surprise, it was shipped about a week after I placed my order. Item received in a timely manner packaged in a double box.

Pros: Semi-portable, great sound quality, sturdy construction, great design, Bluetooth works flawlessly.no signal drops

Cons: Lacks a handle, thus my "semi-portable" designation, power cord has a small "brick" (like laptop computers), rear speaker lacks a cover for protection so you have to be careful when moving it around

Incredible Sound

Written By Technologist, Charlotte, NC on Tuesday, February 11, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I had been in the market for a bluetooth/airplay device for general music listening. I had gone to listen to the setups at the big box stores and some sounded good in the store. The real issue was the devices that I thought sounded well in the stores were north of $400. My budget was half of that. I was very hesitant to get this unit at first, however when he product arrived, hesitation stepped out quickly.

The pairing process was so simple to my android phone, my iMac and Mac Book Pro. While the Kicker speaker isn't airplay compatible, it does connect by way of bluetooth. I also happen to know you can get inexpensively an airplay adapter, which still brings the total price down under $300, saving money still from the other units I looked at.

The sound of this unit is amazing, solid low notes which I have found are the real challenges for these smaller units. Mids and highs are clean, clear, and crisp. The KickStart app really helps you tune in the sound with the DSP. You will not regret making this purchase for a solid, great sounding unit. Will this unit compete with the $700 bose wifi unit, not from a feature standpoint, but to me the sound is very comparable, the bose just gets louder. I have a 2100 main floor home with 1150 upstairs. You can crank this kicker unit up, and it is heard throughout the house clearly, no distortion.

Pros: Sound, construction, ease of use

Cons: Remote feels a bit "cheap", but I'm glad Kicker used the money in the speakers and not the remote. :)

Great sound in a small footprint

Written By Ken, kjngman Arizona on Monday, February 10, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Wow, this is my second bluetooth speaker, this thing is awesome, I got this to use in the garage, it has the highs & lows with out bumping the neighbors. Thr Kickstart app is a little buggy, but it's control is well worth a little bugs. I am a drummer, so the bass & drums are where I am very particular, this is a top pic for me.

Pros: Small footprint, great full sound, kickstart app is great, rear facing sub allows you to load it in a corner to create punchy bass

Cons: Kickstart spp needs some dialing in

Awsome

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is my second Kicker, I had the previous model Ik501 and really enjoyed that one, my daughter kind of adopted that one, so I was going to purchase another one for myself. While looking for another one, I found the updated versions. I bought the Blue Tooth model, and it is so nice sounding. Clear and crisp sound, puts Bose to shame.

Pros: Blue tooth, lot of base and treble adjustments, Kickstart app to adjust your sound

Cons: Needs a handle for portability, I take this with me to my farm and to campfires

I only used it for music. My pairing distance outside on my deck was 12-15 feet. [ Frank  Jul 19, 2014 ]
Hey Mike, You can use your phone the same as always when it is paired . You can't have a conversation thru the kicker but after you have complete your phone activity it's back to the music. The Bluetooth range is awesome . I use a iPhone 5 and an iPad both probably from 50 to 60 feet away. If you have a party guest and they want to stream music you must first turn off other Bluetooth devices in order for a new to work. I don't think you will be disappointed with kicker. Two buddies have a Bose system that cost twice as much and they think the kicker sounds better. Everyone that comes over is impressed with the range and sound quality. [ Nicholson  Jul 19, 2014 ]
Approximately 30 feet [ larry  Jul 19, 2014 ]
The Music will stop and allow you to answer your phone. The distance varies based on line of site it seems. I would say 35-45 feet most of the time. Then it starts to skip out a bit. [ James  Jul 19, 2014 ]
Sum r portable. This one is not. U need a power source. Plus this model sounds much better when it has a wall behind it due to small rear firing sub. But for the price its a win. If u lookin for sumthing portable i would suggest sumthing waterproof n small. [ ROBERTO A  Jun 14, 2014 ]

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: Most of our merchandise is for the North American market and only for 120v including this Kicker unit. We usually don't sell dual voltage units, sorry. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy  Jun 07, 2014 ]  Staff
yes you can there is a few ways but it all depends on your set up and tech savy -ness essicently i have mine hooked up to my laptop most of the time so i use a standard AUX cable but when i hook it up to consols or other devices like dvd or blu-ray i use a hdmi to component cable and the i use a audio adapter so the two audio connectors of the compont cable are now a useabul AUX connecctor for the kicker amphitheather [ Craig A.  May 21, 2014 ]
Better Option for any buetooth speaker...excellent sound [ CARLOS  May 21, 2014 ]
If Your TV Has Bluetooth Im Sure You Can Get Them To Sync, If Not It Would Have To BE With The Aux Input On The Back Of The speaker [ MICHAEL F  May 19, 2014 ]
If your television has an auxiliary jack for a n aux cord; yes you can, or if your tv has a Bluetooth feature, you can pair the device that way as well. [ Lovell  May 19, 2014 ]
If your TV has Bluetooth it would work but if it doesn't I don't think it's possible [ GILBERT  May 19, 2014 ]
When I used headphone jack it seemed like it was coming out of only one speaker and I couldn't get any sound when I tried using TV audio out. I tried the cable box and it worked, but wasn't very loud at all compared to bluetooth from my phone? Any suggestions? Thanks [ seth  May 18, 2014 ]
Yes with an in/out cord the connection is on the back of the amphitheatre speak and you will have to buy a special cord. This cord must have a red connector and a white connector on one end for your TV and a single connector on the other end for amphitheatre speaker. It works very well. This speaker makes an excellent home theater speaker; even better than speakers created for home theater. Good Luck! [ DANA LYNN  May 18, 2014 ]
Yes, it has an 1/8" input. How totally depends on your TV. If you have an 1/8" output like our TV then just plug an 1/8" to 1/8" cable and you're great. Otherwise you might need a cable that is red/white stereo to 1/8" [ Logan  May 18, 2014 ]
It has an analog auxiliary input in the back. (1/8" / 3.5 mm Mini stereo jack) You will need an adapter cable to your TV to match what your TV has to offer. You can get the signal from either the headphone output or RCA audio outputs (often these are a red & white pair). [ MICHAEL  May 18, 2014 ]
Depends on the TV. If you have analog audio out (older TV's), you need to figure out whether it's two RCA jacks (red and white) or a headphone jack. The cable needs to mate that TV analog audio out jack (red and white RCA audio out jack or headphone jack) to the mini audio in jack in the back of the Kicker (the mini audio in jack in the Kicker is just an "headphone jack", but its an audio in jack instead of an audio out jack). If your TV has a digital audio out (coaxial or fiberoptic), then you additionally need to buy an audio digital to analog converter, (DAC) and then run the analog audio cable from the DAC to the min audio input jack in the Kicker. [ Pieter  May 18, 2014 ]
can you answer a call & have conversation while paired? what is the pairable distance limits? [ Mike W  Jul 18, 2014 ]
There is an application (I think it micght be called Kickstart) that runs on IOS or Android that has the EQ adjustments. Unfortunately, the Andorid version is not avaialbe for my Kindle, so I can't give more specific details. [ MICHAEL  Mar 24, 2014 ]
I'm pretty sure you have to download the kickstart app and make all the adjustments through that app. I have a Samsung Galaxy 3 phone and the app doesn't work with it for some reason. [ KORYLEE  Mar 24, 2014 ]
You know i tried thru the app on my play store it's not working properly I've called Kicker and they have said to erase and re download still no luck. This Kicker sounds good already I could just imagine how it would sound with that. [ KEVIN  Mar 24, 2014 ]
You must adjust the equalizer according to the music you're listening to [ GILBERT  Mar 24, 2014 ]
I prefer the Classical/Jazz setting to listen to most music and I will turn up the bass some then as needed. I hope that is helpful. [ Logan  Mar 24, 2014 ]
