Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Did what they are supposed to do but it would be nice if the polarity on each line was labeled. Two grey wires and two blue wires. You figure out which ones go together! Not difficult but it would be nice to not have to think about it.
Gets the job done
Lack of polarity labeling

Kicker patch cord

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
It works great with my bass station. I agree with a lot of the other reviewers that kicker should have just included it but I am happy with the product and it sounds great in my truck!
Works great

Didn't work for me

Written By Dean D, Houston, TX on Thursday, March 27, 2014
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Adapter didn't work for me. Contacted Kicker support and they recommended connecting straight to the rear speaker outputs. Sub works that way so I ended up chunking the adapter in the trash.
Easy to wire
Didn't work well for me. I went straight with the rear speaker wires.

Does it's job.

Written By XJMike, NY, USA on Thursday, March 20, 2014
I bought this one to replace the previous model which is discontinued. I don't like how it lacks the previous model's speaker wire connector (it felt solid, and looked super clean), but it does it's job, and my 11PT8 bass station is back to producing bass again.
Doesn't have the speaker wire connector like the previous model.

Wish Kicker would just add this cable in when you buy the Subwoofer! Does what it needs to do!
Kicker needs to add this to the Hideaway!

Neccessary if you are using RCA pre-amps

Written By Rkrause63, Sandy, Utah on Sunday, July 07, 2013
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Not a whole lot to say on these. They work fine. IF you are setting up your system using the pre-amp output of your head unit, you are going to need these as the Kicker Hideaway sub only has line level connections. also remember to switch the sub to low level input if you are sending the signal to the sub from the sub pre-amp outputs of your headunit.
they work fine & the construction is solid
Any powered sub from a reputable manufacturer should have low level RCA inputs build into it. Having to actually buy these separate is pretty CHEESY!

What color is negative/positive? [ rene  Jan 13, 2014 ]

  • doesn't matter due to the faze switch on sub, can change the polarity.but both do need to be wired the same.If their is a black line on each set then use it as neg. and other as poss. if sub. doesn't sound right turn sys vol. down and switch faze switch should improve. [ TERRY A   Jan 13, 2014 ]
  • Negative-black [ JEFF   Jan 13, 2014 ]
  • I use the blue as positive. You can use either as long as you are consistent Always positive to positive between devices urging the color as positive makes it easier to remember. Good luck [ HOWARD   Jan 13, 2014 ]
  • The common color on each plug is the negative{-}. Obviously the different colors on each plug are the positive{+}. I only know this because I had to ohm them out for myself. It would be nice if they were marked - & +. [ RANDALL   Jan 13, 2014 ]
  • Usually the wire with the black stripe is neg [ HAROLD   Jan 13, 2014 ]
  • I used the blue as the positive connection. [ MIKE   Jan 13, 2014 ]
