With this adapter, you can connect your car stereo's speaker outputs directly into a Kicker DX, ZX, or IX Series amp, or any other aftermarket amplifier equipped with RCA inputs that take high-level input signals.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a needed item if hooking up a hide away kicker sub and your head unit only has RCA hook ups.

Pros: Needed.

Cons: None

Works as intended, but unnecessarily confusing.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The harness works very well, and is well built, but they use non standard colors for the wire which can be a bit confusing. Like one reviewer said, it's not difficult to figure out, but it did cause me to pause a couple of times to make sure I was connecting the right wire. Certainly not a big deal, but a bit annoying. Also, it is difficult to tell from the picture, but the entire adapter is about a foot long.

Pros: -well built -simple design

Cons: -non standard color choices may cause confusion

The only way to go if you have a deck with SW outputs on it. Pair with the kicker slim sub and you're good to go.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

No problem with this at all, I just checked continuity on the wire color to center pin and made my appropriate connections

Pros: Very pliable wires, easy to work with.

Cons: Would be nice to have more traditional color coding rather than blue and gray, but a simple continuity check solves that easily enough.

Hate that it's needed, but it works perfectly

I hate that the hideaway sub has to use an adapter like this for low level inputs, but it does it's job perfectly so far.

These cables are very good quality and they work great.

Pros: High quality and they look great even though they are totally hidden in my truck.

Cons: These really should have been included with the Kicker 11HS8 Hideaway compact powered subwoofer. Also, would have been nice if they used conventional red & white colors to mark the polarity of the cable ends.

Worked Perfectly !

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this product to hook up my new Kicker compact powered sub and they worked perfectly for it. I could not be happier than I am with my new system from Crutchfield. My system I got from Crutchfield consists of 4 Polk Audio (571 2 way) speakers, Pioneer DVD Receiver (AVH-X5700BHS DVD Receiver), Pioneer AMP (GM-A6604), Kicker Sub (11HS8 8" Compact Powered Subwoofer), & last but not least a Kicker KISL Audio Interconnect Cable. With everything I purchased from Crutchfield with the help of Kyle on my system and Buzz on my Kicker Amp and believe me, I could not have done it right without there help and got it to be like it is and sound as good as it does, what I am trying to say is it sounds "FANTASTIC" and I could not be happier..... Thank You Crutchfield, Kyle and Buzz for everything !!!

This does no signal conversion. It simply gives you a clean way to go from speaker wire to RCA.

Pros: Looks nice. Quality product.

Was easy to connect, works well.

Pros: Easy to use/Connect, make sure you don't get your wiring out of phase( negative to positive ) if you have no difficulty making those type of connections this product is easy as it gets. Also the length is approx . 12" so keep that in mind.

Cons: None.

Did what they are supposed to do but it would be nice if the polarity on each line was labeled. Two grey wires and two blue wires. You figure out which ones go together! Not difficult but it would be nice to not have to think about it.

Pros: Gets the job done

Cons: Lack of polarity labeling

Didn't work for me

Written by: Dean D from Houston, TX on March 27, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Adapter didn't work for me. Contacted Kicker support and they recommended connecting straight to the rear speaker outputs. Sub works that way so I ended up chunking the adapter in the trash.

Pros: Easy to wire

Cons: Didn't work well for me. I went straight with the rear speaker wires.

Does it's job.

Written by: XJMike from NY, USA on March 20, 2014

I bought this one to replace the previous model which is discontinued. I don't like how it lacks the previous model's speaker wire connector (it felt solid, and looked super clean), but it does it's job, and my 11PT8 bass station is back to producing bass again.

Pros:

Cons: Doesn't have the speaker wire connector like the previous model.

Neccessary if you are using RCA pre-amps

Written by: Rkrause63 from Sandy, Utah on July 7, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Not a whole lot to say on these. They work fine. IF you are setting up your system using the pre-amp output of your head unit, you are going to need these as the Kicker Hideaway sub only has line level connections. also remember to switch the sub to low level input if you are sending the signal to the sub from the sub pre-amp outputs of your headunit.

Pros: they work fine & the construction is solid

Cons: Any powered sub from a reputable manufacturer should have low level RCA inputs build into it. Having to actually buy these separate is pretty CHEESY!
