The SubStage SSON12 fits the 2012-up Chevrolet Sonic, and the subwoofer installs on the back of the driver's side rear seat. It connects to the factory stereo via two wire taps for signal, and attaches to the battery for power. Features
Overview: Kicker's SoundGate SubStage factory audio upgrade kits are designed to fit in specific year/make/model vehicles. The SSON12 is compatible with select 2012 and later Chevrolet Sonics (please confirm fit with the Crutchfield vehicle selector, not compatible with the convertible). Included with the system are a 10" subwoofer in a custom enclosure, subwoofer amp, and all the necessary cables to power the amplifier and connect to the factory radio.
Subwoofer: The custom enclosure is loaded with a single 10" Kicker subwoofer, powered by a 200-watt amplifier mounted to the enclosure. The subwoofer is mounted behind the driver's side rear seat (in the cargo area of the hatchback, or the trunk of the sedan) and the included wiring harness has an adapter plug that connects to the multi-channel amp's harness (for subwoofer signal input). The power cable is connected to the fuse box in the engine compartment and specific wire routing instructions are included.
Electrical System: The amplifier is designed to have minimum impact on the Sonic's charging system.
