Kicker's 40TCWS102 loaded enclosure puts a thumping 10" subwoofer behind the seat of a truck or in any vehicle that's low on space. The rugged ported box was designed specifically for the subwoofer, so you can count on getting maximum performance, no matter what kind of tunes you enjoy.
The specially designed port gives you more bass without sounding sloppy.
The 10" CompS sub features a flex-resistant polypropylene cone for hard-hitting lows without distortion, while the ribbed foam surround promotes long excursion and helps to keep the cone on target. The sub's steel basket provides a reliable foundation for big bass, and extensive venting ensures long-lasting performance that won't break down when the bass gets heavy.
Sturdy medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and the special-design side port delivers more bass without getting sloppy. The enclosure's 2-ohm impedance draws maximum power from your mono amplifier.

An enclosed subwoofer is a box with a subwoofer already installed. The advantage to buying an enclosed sub is that the manufacturer made the sub, then designed and built the box as a perfect match, so you'll get the best possible performance. Every enclosed sub has a maximum RMS power handling rating, so pair it with an amp with a similar RMS power rating to get the best performance.
I put this sub in my nissan 350z. Great bump, clean, crisp bass
Pros: Space saver Clean bass Easy install Light weight
Cons: Bass not as full as normal box
I was looking for bass for my son's first truck. Had an idea of what i wanted but ended up chatting with the Crutchfield support team to get their input. Boy was i glad i did!! Today's speakers and amps put out a lot more power than the old days. As recommended i went with (1) 10" Kicker Sub w/ a 300 watt amp. Yes, i said 300 watts. I was pretty skeptical...but Crutchfield insisited it was enough. And boy was it. This sub & amp combo puts out some mean bass. It hits hard on the rock songs and super low on the bass for rap songs. Very pleased!!! Thanks Crutchfield support!
Pros: Compact. Leaves plenty of room for other stuff.
Cons: Wish it came with the grill to protect it. I'll need to order one of those.
Also purchased the Kicker 12CX300 amp...which is a perfect combo. Bass is loud and responsive. box is a quality build as well. In past setups I have used Infinity Bass links, Bazooka Bass Tube and similar style boxes using Rockford Fosgate and Pioneer subs. This Kicker set up far exceeds all past installs with better sounding bass, loudness and build. I highly recommend. it is currently under the back seat of a F150 super crew and still using factory head. unit. Perfect for Hip Hop Rock Alterative Reggae and Country music..
Pros: Sound quality and construction
Cons: none so far
This enclosure hits hard and It can fit almost anywhere. Great quality as you spect from a Kicker product and for a reasonable price
This subwoofer was perfect for the purpose I bought if for. This was for a teenager who has a subcompact car. I liked that the subwoofer came in the enclosure and was ready to hook-up.
This (scratch & dent) sub addition was the perfect bang for the buck. I was just wanting some extra punch to add to my Sony Mex 5100 bluetooth stereo. It fits perfectly behind my seat with the seat moved all the way back for my 6'2" frame. Its paired to an kicker 300 watt mono block amp using the 2 ohm feature. The sub is still in its break in period but I can already hear the improvement. Take the time to tune it to your stereo and you'll enjoy a lot of punch with some lows from this quality sub box.
Pros: Great build quality, Nice looking box. Good speaker terminals. Still looked new for a scratch and dent sale product with a new product warranty included.
This is a very nice, perfectly sized box for my pickup truck. Has really good sound as well. I appreciate the attention to detail as well as the quality of craftsmanship. This is my first time buying Kicker, but it definitely won't be my last! In addition to all of the above, the price is very nice as well.
Pros: Quality. Size. Sound. Plus quality. And size. And sound.
Cons: None thus far. I can't imagine this will change either.
Installed into my 86 Ford 150 when my stereo gave out. Put in new head unit, door speakers and THIS ... just 1 did it. Nice clean base.
Pros: Went well with the 300.1 Kicker amp.
This speaker package really throws out incredible bass. I have it paired with a mono 250 amp by Alpine. I love it. I didn't know this but in the fine print on the speaker it talks about a break in period on Kicker subs. This is accurate, at first I was slightly disappointed with the sub, but I read about the break in and sure enough once the break in period was near it's end the sub's performance was night and day. Sound amazing.
Sounds great. Bought this for my stepson's truck and wired to a Picasso Nano. Durable construction, easy installation and looks great with the gray interior of the truck. I'm thinking about getting one for my truck.
Pros: Sound, cost
Excellent bass and sounds very clear
Pros: Performance, clearing and price
Good overall value. Well made and the profile is great. Fits well under driver side rear seat of my 2014 Silverado crew cab. Even with a full RMS power amp, you won't be rattling the neighbors windows but the bass production is still impressive for what it is. Has good, boomy bass when you want some dance jams but has really good punch from bass drum for rock.
Pros: Great price, great sound, good build quality.
Cons: Wish it could be just a tad smaller to fully hide under my seat, but this is a personal problem, not a product one!
I was really surprised how much thump this 10"sub has!!! It rocks
I am so pleased with this speaker. I like to "feel" my audio. I send 300 watts continuous RMS to it and it sounds great.
Pros: Small package, easy fit.
Great subwoofer paired wit cx300.1 amp good clarity and bass thks allen from Crutchfield!
Pros: Great looking box thats well built great sounding and powerful subwoofer!
Cons: None at all
Another great Kicker product! Stays clear and hits hard. Compact size can fit anywhere.
Pros: Size is great, sound is even better!
I am awe struck by the sound of SUB, listening to the awesome bass of Skynyrd's "One More From the Road" live version of "Workin for MCA", proved this product meets and exceeds all expectations. You will be shocked at the continuity and clarity of this product. Do not put this purchase off as I did.
Great sub for the price and has great sound
Pros: Perfect for trucks
Having recently upgraded the factory radio in my 2012 Chevy Express cargo van to a Kenwood DPX500BT, I took advantage of a special Crutchfield was running at the time for an add-on set of 6.5" full range speakers to go along with the new head unit. Just like a domino effect, the excitement of having new features in the head unit then lead to better sound in the doors, and eventually to "well if I'm going to replace the factory radio and factory speakers, I should make sure the low end tastes good too." With a partition wall in the van between the cab and cargo space, I had a closed off front area that I knew would benefit acoustically from a sub, even if it's position would be relatively close to the driver's ear. The sub now sits behind the passenger seat, and fits like a glove. Paired with an Alpine MRV-M250, and utilizing the elaborate EQ options on both the amp and the Kenwood unit, this sub sounds really great and complements the full range of the system- with a surprisingly powerful output, to boot. Nice low end, and the ported design gives the sub a just-right tone for the majority of dance and hip hop music I tend to listen to most.
Pros: Great sound, clear output, durable box build, perfectly sized enclosure
This was a perfect fit for my 2003 Ram 1500 regular cab. I didn't have to remove the storage tray and it fits perfectly behind the drivers seat. The range of this sub is great. From 40hz-200hz is nice and tight, as it dips below 40hz it becomes a little flat, but if you need lower that 40hz, you should have at least a 12" preferably a 15" for those ranges(in a deeper box, made for a trunk). The power is plenty for a small cab, it really fills up the cab with quality bass. Kicker has always produced a quality sub, but in the past I went with RF Punch 12's and Orion XTR 10's in the 80's and 90's. Now that I own a single Kicker 10, I will rate this sub very high. For anybody space challenged needing a good quality, pre-fabed box, with nice tight bass, this would be an excellent choice. Just don't expect this to take your breath away or vibrate the car next to you. This sub and enclosure was not designed for that. Well done Kicker, and thanks again Crutchfield for selling a great sub!
Pros: Nice tight bass, a well built box. Perfect for space challenged vehicles.
Cons: If I had to be picky, I would have liked the top of the speaker box to say "Kicker" in black, not bright yellow...but that's me being picky.
excellent price, quality. Love the sound and size.
Pros: size, price and quality
Great box, I am not looking to make hair fly or flex windshields, so this was a great sub/box for the price. The sound is great.
Pros: Great sound Small footprint, fit behind back seat in tacoma -had to remove the plastic storage bin.
Cons: none at this time.
Installed in a 99 crew cab f-250 installed perfectly behind rear seat. Sounds good shakes the rear view mirror paired with SO 1350 amp. What can you say even the lower end Kicker still sounds great and just the right amount bass with a reasonable price.
Pros: Great value great sound
Perfect fit for my 2005 Chevy Colorado Reg Cab. It sounds great and is affordable. And it's Kicker...enough said.
Pros: It comes with a factory box designed for the sub so it's plug and play. The bass is perfect for a little truck.
Cons: none so far
Great sub sounds great fits behind the rear seat perfect I have alpine 500 watt amp with the gain 3/4 up and the bass is just right.
Pros: Size and price
A good addition to the car audio system of someone who is not an audiophile and just wants some shaking, rattling and vibrating. It reproduces nothing below 30Hz, which for rap, hip-hop and some electronic music listeners might be a bad point. The base out of this tiny little 10" subwoofer is about hard bass sounds, nothing soft, which for some is good and for others is not.
Pros: Good value. Nice design.
Cons: Sound quality is above average. Shallow box depth makes it easy to tip over - must be secured to the floor with the provided metal tabs.
I bought this for my 1992 GMC Sonoma. It fit perfectly behind the rear seat and is being powered by the sub channel of my Arc Audio xdi803. It's getting about 400 watts and it seriously RIPS!!
I was very surprised at the output of this box, can't stop cranking it!
Pros: Looks great Well built LOUD!
Cons: It's just a Comp, so you can't dump a ton of power to it
Scratch & Dent items may be missing non-essential accessories. In some cases the manufacturer's accessories have been replaced with generic equivalents.

Speaker Terminals: The spring post terminals are mounted on the left side of the enclosure and will accept pin connectors, single or dual banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.
Woofers: The Kicker 40TCWS102 enclosure uses one 10" CompS subwoofer, wired to present a 2Ω load.
Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker CompS speakers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum low-bass response. The suspension system is very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. Once broken-in, the subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

I chose this because I have had great experiences with kicker subs and with the need to add some depth to my truck I felt this would be my best option given the price and my past experience with kicker [ travis Jan 30, 2016 ]
good combo [ kevin Dec 12, 2015 ]
I hear it's the best bang for the buck for a reg cab p/u truck. Plus their speaker quality is one if the best for car audio even affordable. [ Sharif C. Dec 05, 2015 ]

I'm using a Kicker amp. CX300 mono block. It pounds the speaker really good. In fax it broke the speaker wire connections inside the sub woofer box where they had soldered the speaker wires. I just put regular speaker connections back on and it works great. [ SHANNON Dec 07, 2015 ]
I am Currently running a 300 watt Rorkford Fosgate amp @ 2 Ohms to this sub, its more than enough to power it and produce a good sound [ John Dec 07, 2015 ]
I paired it with a Kicker CX 300.1 and love it. [ Joey Dec 07, 2015 ]

Should be fine. All wire connections are located on the side of the box. [ Jason Michael Jan 15, 2015 ]
Definitely buy a grill to cover the woofer. The only potential issue with a flat mount is smaller debris having an easier time making its way through the grill. I leave mine free and with slack in the speaker wire so I can reconfigure it based on what I'm stuffing in the back. Hope that helps [ NASH Jan 14, 2015 ]
Yes it is , there's no problem with that it works fine but you need to put a cover on it to protect the speaker [ SAMUEL Jan 14, 2015 ]
Should be just fine. [ Benjamin Jan 14, 2015 ]
I have mine flat in the trunk of my 91 towncar. It's been working great for just over a year now. [ ANDREW Jan 14, 2015 ]
