Front-view of Kicker 40TCWS104 10" sub enclosure

The specially designed port gives you more bass without sounding sloppy.

Hard-hitting CompS sub

The 10" CompS sub features a flex-resistant polypropylene cone for hard-hitting lows without distortion, while the ribbed foam surround promotes long excursion and helps to keep the cone on target. The sub's steel basket provides a reliable foundation for big bass, and extensive venting ensures long-lasting performance that won't break down when the bass gets heavy.

Heavy-duty enclosure

Sturdy medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and the special-design side port delivers more bass without getting sloppy. The enclosure's 4-ohm impedance allows compatibility with a wide range of amplifiers.

Features

Speaker Terminals: The spring post terminals are mounted on the left side of the enclosure and will accept pin connectors, single or dual banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.

Woofers: The Kicker 40TCWS102 enclosure uses one 10" CompS subwoofer, wired to present a 4Ω load.

  • Ribbed Surround: The optimized ribbed polyurethane helps eliminate flex and distortion.
  • Spiralead Tinsel Leads: The durable Spiralead tinsel leads are woven into the woofer's spider, for added strength and reliability.
  • Steel Basket with Vented Pole Piece: The steel basket's vented pole piece and Kicker's Quad Venting slots contribute to the woofers' efficient cooling and durability.

Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker CompS speakers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum low-bass response. The suspension system is very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. Once broken-in, the subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

Q
Will this fit into the trunk of a 93 Honda Accord coupe?
dizzy  Oct 23, 2016
1 answer
A
I'm afraid we don't have any subwoofer box mounting information available for the '93 Accord Coupe. However, the Kicker 40TCWS104 loaded subwoofer enclosure measures 21-1/2" (width) x 15" (height) x 7-5/8" (depth at bottom) x 4" (depth at top). You may want to measure the available space in the Accord's trunk to verify fitment. Feel free to reach out to an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat if you have any further questions. I hope that helps!

Q
Do they make a right and left box? I plan to put two in my truck and would rather have them designed opposite/mirror image of each other.
john  Apr 07, 2016
1 answer
A
No. They are identical. You can use separate amplifier channels to power them and provide one with the left channel audio and the other with the right. There's not much point to this as bass frequencies are slow-moving so you won't hear much, if any, difference between left & right channel subwoofers. I hope that helps! Jeff, I'm not familiar with the Toyota Tacoma's crew cab. I do know it fits behind the back seat of my 2008 Ford F350 crew cab.
bruce  Mar 07, 2015
A
Hi Jeff, I installed 2 of these behind the bench seat of a 2001 Chevy 2500hd regular cab. There was not much room to spare but they fit pretty much perfect, just a little tilted due to the tranny/driveshaft tunnel. I would imagine it would fit for your application as the newer Toyotas have more room, especially in a crew cab. Hope this helps, Mike
michael  Mar 06, 2015
A
I'm not sure how much room you have but. The sub is pretty big. It's probably 5 inches wide along the bottom and tapers up.

Yeah sorry I meant subwoofer. And I want to put it in the under the backseat but I wanted to know if it fit under the backseat
jesse  Jul 08, 2014
A
I don't have a super crew but wanted to clarify that this is just a subwoofer. You'll need to buy a separate amplifier.
jeffrey  Jul 08, 2014
A
This itself is a subwoofer only you can find An amp that could fit under your backseat but the sub itself wouldn't fit under your seat it would however fit behind the backseats on either side. But as for the amp you can put I anywhere you want but most people put then close to the sub.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I have a regular cab F-150. I think the base has a depth of about 7". You'll have to measure.
matt  Jul 08, 2014

Maybe if the seat flips up.
