About the Terk SIRMarine
Before you set off on your next boat trip, make sure you can hear your favorite SIRIUS Satellite Radio stations onboard. Terk designed the SIRMarine satellite radio antenna to provide crystal-clear SIRIUS reception on the water.
This rugged marine-rated antenna can withstand splashes of salt water and high vibration from wind. You can mount it directly to your boat's deck or use the supplied adapter to attach it to a bracket or mast.
Note: A subscription to SIRIUS is also required. Satellite radio service is available only within the lower 48 states — not available in Hawaii or U.S. territories. Limited service is available in Alaska.

Product Research
Overview: The TERK SIRMarine (SIRIUS Satellite Radio Marine Antenna) is a high-performance antenna designed specifically for Sirius Satellite Radio reception on recreational marine craft such as fishing boats, sport boats, yachts, and sailboats. This package includes a rugged, low-profile marine-rated antenna which can withstand high-vibration and salt-water environments, a plastic treaded flange adapter for bracket or mast mounting (mast or bracket not supplied), and a 24.5' length of RG174 coax cable.
Mounting: The TERK SIRMarine SIRIUS Antenna features dual mounting options.
- Direct Mount: The marine antenna can be mounted directly to your boat's deck or any flat surface of your boat. This type of mount will require a 9/16" cut-out hole to route the antenna cable. This installation is perfect for use on small vessels.
- Bracket or Mast Mounting: The marine antenna can be mounted to an optional bracket or mass using the supplied plastic treaded flange adapter. The flange adapter uses a standard 1"-14 marine thread. The bracket or mast is not included. This type of installation is great for large vessels and sail boats.
Note: There should be at least a 20-degree clearance from any metallic obstruction on all sides of the mounted antenna.
Connection: Then antenna features an attached 5.75" cable with a TNC connector that connects to the supplied 24.5' coax cable via its own TNC connector. On the other end of the 24.5' coax cable is a single SMB connector which plugs in your Sirius Satellite Radio receiver and marine dock.
System Requirements: In addition to this SIRIUS satellite radio antenna, you must have a SIRIUS tuner and subscription to SIRIUS Satellite Radio to receive SIRIUS Radio programming.

I set this unit up with my SIRIUS radio on a boat and ran inside waters between Tacoma, Washington and South East Alaska without losing the signal at any time. This is an area were expensive satellite phone service often fails. Factor in the mounting options and you have an excellent package.
