Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It has been less than a year since I installed a bi-amplified system using this wiring kit. I have a Rockford amp powering two 10" woofers and an Alpine amp powering my door and rear deck speakers. With the help of Crutchfield's technical staff I ended up with an installation that looks very professional.
The SteetWires kit looks great and came with everything I needed with the exception of a set of patch cables and speaker wire which I needed to get the signal to my Alpine amp from my factory radio.
The sound from my system is excellent and power seems to flow readily, the materials used in the kit look and feel very high in quality. HOWEVER!!! I was much surprised when one day while running the system at about half it's peak volume the fuse holder melted! According to tech. support and the product advisors everything (fuse ratings, wire gauges, etc.) match my power needs. Since there is a lifetime warranty they sent a replacement Rockford holder to try for free. So far I haven't experienced the problem again but the Rockford holder only has a year warranty- We'll see...
