Our take on the StreetWires Zero Noise 5 Stereo Patch Cables

by Charlie Pastorfield

StreetWires' Zero Noise 5 Series stereo patch cables use twisted pair construction — its two internal wires are wound around each other to cancel out noise interference. This design allows you to enjoy all of your music with none of the noise.

Silver soldered connections and pure, oxygen-free copper wire ensure maximum signal transfer and sound quality, while the high-density polyethylene insulation protects your investment. The super-compact, gold-plated RCA connectors and patented Sure Grip design offer easy installation in tight locations. Warranty: lifetime.

Features

Oxygen Free Copper: These cables use Oxygen Free Copper that eliminates oxidation that causes corrosion and signal loss.

Twisted Pair Design: The twisted pair design passes all the music with none of the noise. Each interconnect uses the twisted design as well as each pair of interconnects.

Clear Ultra-flex Dual Jacket: The jacket is flexible so that you can bend the cable and still maintain perfect geometry.

Color-coded: Color-coded bands are used for easy left and right identification.

Total Fit Collar: Ensures uniform contact around the entire surface of the receptacle. This type of connector slides on and off easy enough to be gentle on those particularly delicate RCA jacks, while still maintaining a secure fit.

Sure Grip Molded Body: The body of the connector reinforces the entire connector assembly and is easy to engage or remove. They are also small enough to fit in the tightest of spaces.

Split Center Pin: The RCA pin is split to ensure superior surface contact for better signal transfer.

No Noise

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The StreetWires Zero Noise 5 Stereo Patch Cables (2) that I purchased to complete my installation of the Alpine KTP-445U Power Pack, which I installed between the Pioneer receiver and the Polk speakers, have proved to be what their name claims "Zero Noise." And in an auto environment, that's saying something. I'm glad I chose to purchase and use these rather than use standard RCA cables I already had on hand.
Pros:
Accomplishes what they claim.
Cons:
None

Zero Noise

Written By Rick A., New Berlin, NY on Monday, May 27, 2013
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I ran these past other wiring in the dash, past the small power to my small amp. Zero electrical interference. The music is crystal clear! I bought the 3.3 foot lengths. I still had about a foot or so more than what I needed, but it's way better than having 13 or 14 feet extra. I needed short RCAs and these really fit the bill and worked great. I would definitely recommend these for sound quality, looks, and sound quality.
Pros:
Sound Quality, Length choices, Looks and feel.
Cons:
None

High-performance cables alright!

Written By Toddman, N.Tx on Sunday, March 31, 2013
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These cables are great! They were very easy to run being so flexible. The connectors are the best I've seen on a set of RCA's. They attach firmly which makes a good connection & no static noise from vibration on rough roads like cheaper wire ends. They come in different lengths for just about any amp install location.
Pros:
Quality noiseless cables with great connectors
Cons:
A little pricy .... but definitely worth it !!!

I used a 11.5 foot from my HU to a powered sub. Great clarity, no noise, and very flexible jacket for routing. Recommended over higher priced cables.
Try them, you won't be disappointed.

Used this cable to connect my Kenwood KAC-9104D 500W x 1 Car Amplifier to a
Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD DVD Receiver. The flexible cable and clear markings made the
cable routing a snap and I have zero noise problems. Well worth the money.

Don't waste your money on the 7's or 9's

Written By Doug, Lodi Ohio on Sunday, May 31, 2009

These cables work great, Zero noise just like it says. Don't waste your money on the 7 or 9 series. I'm putting out 850 watts RMS in my system & no noise at all. Although I will say, choose your cables paths wisely. Just a reminder, keep your amp power wires & your preout cables as far apart as possible. Don't get lazy here, even if it means extra installation time. You spent the money, let it pay you back. P.S. Always ground your amp as close to the amp as possible

Other cables may be cheaper but you get great quality with these cables. Have installed these in three different cars and they are well worth the money spent. It's a great piece of mind to know you can run them and they will work flawlessly the first time.

These cables are excellent. They securely plug into the head unit and amp, the wires roll out straight, they are easy to route through the vehicle, and the sound quality is perfect. There is no need to go to a more expensive cable. These worked perfectly.

Great Cables

Written By Jesse, Port Orchard, WA on Tuesday, February 17, 2009
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Installed in a 2000 Civic EX Coupe. Replaced a set of StreetWires RCA cables from 1999 when I moved the system from my old Prelude into the Civic. Cables are attractive, provide significantly better throughput than the old cables (I had to turn down the gain on my amp significantly) and fit tightly on the connectors. Thinness of the cables made them very easy to route through the console and under the carpet. Haven't detected any engine noise in the sound.

Recommended.

Nice Cables

Written By WAYNE, Tucson, AZ on Thursday, August 07, 2008
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I thought, why review cables? Well, the Street Wires ZN5 RCA cables *are* nice. The insulation is supple and easy to route. One strand is blue and the other clear so the twisted pair looks like a Smurf candy cane. The outer connectors grip solidly as you would expect, but in addition the center pin is split so that it fits snugly too. These are a big step up from those old grey vinyl coated RCAs. I went with the ZN5s because I would have hated to have to uninstall a cheap cable that got noisy over time only to replace it with a better cable that I could have installed in the first place. A nice cable with tangible advantages for only a little more money.

Good product... Great packaging

Written By Anthony, Birmingham, AL on Tuesday, April 22, 2008
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This product has
worked just fine for
me so far. I would
like to give Street
Wire a big "Thank
You" for the
packaging of the
material. The
package is
perforated so that
getting through the
thin plastic package
is simple and easy.
Usually I have to
cut into this type
of packaging with a
knife then tear at
the packaging until
I cut myself and get
the product out.
Good patch cable.
