A Necessary Evil
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
I hated to spend this much on a single cable, but here was my situation: I bought a "Precision Interface Electronics FRDR-AUX" so I could play my iPod in my car. But as a few of you may know, the geniuses at Ford thought it would be an awesome idea to put the tuner in the trunk. I didn't want to mess with a ton of cable adapters and whatnot, so this cable was starting to look pretty good! It shipped fast, as always. It was beautiful, just as described. I plugged the male RCAs into the FRDR-AUX and proceeded to take apart half my car to run this cable to the center console/armrest area (I deemed running a female AUX into my headset too much work). Just to give you an idea, this big old cable barely made it there! But that's okay; I bought a dirt-cheap Belkin cable so I can play my iPod, comfortably, from anywhere in the car. I rated this item 4 stars because I heard a "fuzz" once or twice over the last few days. I highly doubt it's from this cable, but just in case...4 stars. Works great, good sound quality, and did what it was designed to do. I have a Ford Taurus, so if you plan to go from the trunk to further than the armrest, you will need to buy another cable for length.
