S-video cables carry the luminance (brightness) and chrominance (color) portions of the video signal along separate paths, for reduced interference and improved resolution. These "silver-level" S-video cables from Phoenix Gold's VRx.500 series use a twisted-pair design, plus Mylar foil and braided copper shielding to reduce unwanted noise. The connectors are gold-plated, for solid, corrosion-free contact and maximum transfer. Features General Overview: The VRx.510sv is a 1-meter (3.28 feet) S-Video interconnect cable with an emerald green polyurethane jacket. It is from Phoenix Gold's Silver level series, which provides high end performance and build quality at an affordable price. It offers greatly improved performance over "in the box" cables normally provided with most VCRs and DVD players. VRx.500 Series: Phoenix Gold's VRx.500 series (Silver level) cables feature 100% Mylar foil and 95% braided copper shields for improved performance in video signal transmission, resulting in higher resolution and noise rejection. The low-loss polyurethane dielectric and 30-strand OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) center conductors ensure optimum performance across the entire video bandwidth. The connectors are gold-plated for maximum signal transfer. There is a molded strain relief surrounding the connector, which gives it durability and reliability. The outside diameter of the cable is 6mm. Warranty: There is a limited lifetime warranty on the cable, however, physical damage is not covered. Product Reviews Be the first to review this product.
