When I purchased my truck I received two remote controls with it. I only used the one and kept one as a spare. When it went bad I went to my spare one. When I brought out my spare remote to use every day I then ordered a remote from Crutchfield for my new spare. After days of research I found out bad news. The results of it was I could not find the main brain. So my spare remote is still in the same package I received it in the same package I received it in. I still have no idea what to do with it. I'm in my 70's and getting under a truck dash is not in my tool box any more. I'm open for suggestions. Robert

I have that looks exactly like this and it is marked CAT-MT; how will I know how to get the correct frequency?

I ordered the same one and you will sync the frequency with your vehicle when you get the new remote unit. It comes with instructions on how to do that or any auto alarm place can do it very quickly. By the way, I got my old one to start working again just by removing the battery and cleaning it well. Gary P

Piece of cake! Turn the ignition ON. Press and hold the valet/override button. Within 10 seconds the system will chirp/flash the parking lights (3) three times, release the button. Press Button 1 of each transmitter you wish to program. The system will respond with 1 chirp for each accepted transmitter (up to 4). Turn the Ignition OFF to exit programming. The system will also exit programming after 15 seconds of inactivity. Note: This system has 1 button programming which programs all channels of the system.

Can't say about any frequency issues. I had an old CAT-MT fob that no longer worked, bought the replacement, and it hooked up just fine after going through the pairing process.
