Our take on the Code Alarm DA2

by Ken Nail
Code Alarm

You've installed a Code Alarm system with a remote door lock/unlock feature, but your car didn't come equipped with power door locks. Code Alarm's DA2 door lock actuator offers a heavy duty solution for cars that use cable-driven locking systems — wire a DA2 door lock actuator to each of your manual car door locks, and you'll be able to lock and unlock your car doors automatically with your Code Alarm remote.

Each actuator comes with a backstrap, push arm, screws, speed clips, and mounting hardware. You'll need one actuator for each door you'd like to control. Warranty: 30 days.

Important: If you know how to use a multimeter and have experience working with your vehicle's electrical system, you should be able to install this car security equipment. If you're unfamiliar with installing car security equipment, please speak to one of our Advisors before attempting this installation. Note: Before purchasing, please call us at 1-888-955-6000 to confirm that this product works with your vehicle.

Features

Overview: The Code-Alarm DA-2 power door lock actuator can provide a power door lock to a door that has manual door locks. The actuator responds to electrical signals from the alarm or keyless entry system and physically moves the vehicle's door locking rod to a locked or unlocked position. One DA-2 actuator will be needed for each door you want to control.

Installation: The DA-2 should be installed behind the door panel in a location that won't inhibit window movement or door panel replacement.
