Features
Overview: This package
includes the SIRPNP1 SIRIUS Shuttle tuner and a wireless remote control only. To
use the Shuttle tuner, you must purchase an accompanying kit. The kits allow you
to hook the tuner up to your car or home stereo system, and include everything
you need to receive the SIRIUS signal. In addition to one of the following kits,
a subscription to SIRIUS Satellite Radio is also required:
- the car kit with RCA patch cable
(designed for a car receiver with auxiliary inputs);
- the car kit with wireless FM
transmitter (designed for a car receiver that doesn't have auxiliary
inputs);
- the home kit.
SIRIUS Satellite Radio: SIRIUS
Satellite Radio programming features up to 100 streams of digital-quality music,
news, talk, sports, entertainment, and children's programming nationwide, many
of which are commercial-free.
Display: The Shuttle tuner has
a 4-line, backlit LCD screen. You can choose one of three ways to present the
Artist and Song title information on the LCD screen. The Default screen displays
the following information: stream name, stream number, artist, song title,
category title, band/preset number, and signal strength indicator. Pressing the
Display button from the Default display toggles between the artist name, song
title fields and large character size. In doing so, this will change the
character size and cause the field to scroll. A third press of the Display
button will increase the character size to its maximum, and continuously scroll
the artist/song title information.
Adjustable
Brightness/Contrast: This control
allows you to adjust the brightness and contrast of the display.
Direct Tuning: Using the
numeric buttons on the supplied remote or the face of the tuner, you can
directly access SIRIUS streams.
Look Ahead:
This feature allows you to view what is playing on other streams without having
to change the current stream you are listening to.
Stream Presets: The Shuttle
tuner can store up to 30 preset streams. They are organized into three different
memory banks, FAV A, FAV B, and FAV C. Each memory bank can store up to 10
streams.
Memory Function: This feature
allows you to capture and store the current program data information, including
stream name, stream number, artist, and song title. You can store program data
information for up to 10 songs. The Shuttle tuner also has the capability to
search the current incoming SIRIUS signal, and alert you if it matches the
program data information stored in memory.
Stream Lock: You can lock a
stream, making it only available during direct tuning. The stream lock feature
is protected by a 4-digit lock code.
Antenna Strength: You can check
the strength of the SIRIUS satellite signal being received. When locating the
antenna in your home, you should place the antenna in a spot that illuminates
the maximum number of bars on the meter.
Audio Output Level:
You can adjust the level of the audio output to match the other sources in your
audio system. You can choose from 10 audio output levels.
