The Sirius Stratus 7 makes a great travel companion.
The Sirius Stratus 7 satellite radio is easy to use, and that means a lot when you're looking for your favorite channel while you're driving down the highway. Push-button operation makes channel surfing easy and intuitive, and you can store 10 favorite channels as presets. The easy-to-read display gives you the artist's name, the song or program title, and channel information. The One-Touch Jump™ button allows you to go straight to your last channel, or check out the traffic and weather for 20 cities.
You'll get the accessories you need to use the Stratus 7 in your vehicle, including a cable that connects to your stereo's auxiliary input for the best possible sound. If your car's radio doesn't have an aux input, you can also use the included SiriusXM PowerConnect™ system to deliver clear sound through your vehicle's FM radio. The Sirius Stratus 7 kit also includes a magnetic mount antenna, a vent mount and extended vent clamps, a dash mount, alcohol preparation pads, and a Quick Start Guide. With optional accessory kits, you can also listen at home, at the office, outdoors or in additional vehicles.
Note: A subscription is required and sold separately by SiriusXM. Some channels not available in all packages. Satellite radio service is available only within Canada and the lower 48 states — not available in Hawaii. Limited availability in Puerto Rico.

Works well easy to use. Reception isn't great unless I'm on the highway
The radio is great! The only thing I would change is to make the power cord a little longer. I wanted a clean look and did not want the power cord sticking out of the cigarette power port so I routed the wire through the center counsel and in to the center counsel box. It fit but was close. A little tighter than I like. Looks really clean without all the wires on top of the dash!
Pros: Ease of use, program.
Cons: Longer power cord please. Needs and auto power off.
Good, simple sat radio. Easy to use and just the right size to fit in the mustang.
Pros: small , bright, easy to use.
Cons: no bells and whistles such as pause, rewind etc.
Easy to install and works fine
better than i expected
Very good for the money
With Sirius you get ALL NFL games live!! This can go anywhere & is a great product! We take it to the beach, pool, work, car, etc.
Pros: Portable, small, lightweight.
Good unit for the money. Small, easy to mount in car and great signal compared to my XM factory radio.
Pros: Great signal, very clear sound
Haven't bought a new stereo in a couple of decades, and am pleased with the quality and sound.
Pros: Looks, sound, ease of controls
Cons: None at this time
Nice little unit - powers up great seems to keep good signal. Love the size fits in a small area not to take up too much room / I can't stand commercials on Radio hence Sirius and the price of this unit makes it a winner!
Pros: Small - fits in tight spots Good Display even in sun
Cons: Needs more preset buttons - maybe another row
it needs a clock. otherwise works very well
Cons: non clock
The receiver is perfect for what I purchased it for...to replace a SIRIUS Protable that was 10 years old. However, the Mail-In Rebate/Coupon does me no good as I had to have unit to transfer a Lifetime subscription. So, the unit was this price, and SIRIUS charged me to transfer, and the rebate only applies to NEW subscriptions.
Pros: Unit is fine
It installs easy, gets good reception, and is small enough not to get in the way. I hard wired it into the power supply for the 12 volt outlet in the dash of a 2014 Jeep Wrangler so the wires didn't get in the way. You ca also remove the device from its dock and lock it in the glove box when parked in a shady part of town. I mounted the antenna on the dash and the reception has been decent so far. Overall, I'm happy with it.
Pros: Small, inexpensive, works well.
Cons: None as of now.
Was a good investment. Plays music everyone likes.
Pros: Clear signal with no static, easy to set up.
Cons: Screen is too bright at night. Needs a dimmer option
If it wasn't for the rebate this would be a zero star review. This unit gets terrible reception and is very cheaply made. I don't think I'll renew my service when it expires.
Pros: Low cost
Cons: Poor reception
My adviser, PAUL, knew exactly what I needed with the stereo equipment I had already purchased through Crutchfield.....and this works perfect with my unit!! THANKS!! I couldn't be happier!!
Pros: Price was reasonable. Very easy to install myself.....didn't even break a sweat.
Pros: Small unit!
Cons: Cannot pause radio like other sirius docks.
Everything you need for a standard set up is included. Instructions were clear and easy to understand. Took less than 30 minutes to be receiving Sirius radio and that included setting up an account with Sirius.
Pros: Price especially with the rebate that was offered.
Cons: I found that to work best in one older vehicle it was best to order the cassette adapter verses using the supplied FM transmitter. My other vehicles are newer and the FM transmitter works flawlessly.
Picked up Stratus 7 receiver and SC-VDOC1 dock kit since SCC1 no longer offered and installed it on a Jensen JRV212T Unit. The Jensen fully controls the receiver so I could just hide the unit under the dash. Works great out of the box.
Pros: Easy to install. Unit bolted easily under the dash and out of the way,
Cons: Cable with dock could be a little shorter since I have 90% of it coiled up and tied down.
I was looking for a satellite radio with basic features that wouldn't break the bank, yet still deliver the experience that only SiriusXM can provide. The Crutchfield advisor recommended the Stratus 7, and as usual they steered me in the right direction. Delivery was prompt, and the unit arrived in perfect shape. After a few weeks of listening, all I can say is "WOW!" Installation was easy, the mount & radio are unobtrusive, and operation is a cinch. Stratus 7... the essence of satellite radio, plain and simple.
Pros: Small/light weight, large buttons, easy to read display
Cons: No remote
After some technical problems with the equipment, finally got it working and so far love the commercial free music. Great selection of genre also.
Pros: great music selection!
Cons: Power adapter cable had a short in it right out of the box; ended up ordering a hardwire kit from another retailer which solved the issue and made for a much more professional looking install (no cables dangling around).
I had an old Sirius radio (which I did LOVE) but this one was just too hard to resist. It is small and easy to install and operate...couldn't be happier!!
Pros: Very small; easy to install; easy to operate
Cons: No remote control
works great and is easy to use
Pros: compact takes up very little room easy to read display and operate
Very nice light and compact. Keeps signal extemely well. Would highly recommend
Pros: Small, light, great reception
Cons: Clips can be a pain to get out of vents
Bought to be used in boat, pickup, camper, house. With the use of separate docking stations, this thing is convenient and works great. Awesome product and service.
Pros: Great service, easy install and sounds great.
Cons: None yet
Stratus 7 was easy to install and once I found a good station on my radio in the car, it works great. My wife even loves it. Great price and a great receiver
Pros: They give you plenty of ant. wire for any type of Vehicle, several ways to attach inside.
Cons: Was hard to find a station on my radio, as I live up in the mountains.
I have been using the stratus 7 for a little over a week and so far it has been excellent! I installed in a excavator that I operate at work. It is so much better with all the stations and the different genres of music to choose from. I recommend this product. Ordering from Crutchfield was great. ( They are the best) With the promotion I got the radio for free and a fifty dollar rebate from Sirius after you subscribe for two months.
Sounds grainy at times, don't know why!
Purchased as a gift for my parents, installation was a breeze and it functions extremely well.
Pros: Size is just right for limited space SUV, display and buttons are of good size visibility.
found this by chance when I received an ad from crutchfield over the holidays. been trying to adapt satellite to my kenwood receiver but could not obtain one cable then this appears. easy installation, easy to operate and was worth the money. in the end it comes out free.
Pros: easy install, ease of operation and docks in the house to my receiver for a nominal price.
Cons: hiding the wiring
My husband & I purchased one for each of our cars and so far they are great! Good product for the value! The customer service by Crutchfield is by far the best ever!
Great product and great service. I loved the quick delivery in time for the holidays. This was to replace my husband's older sirius radio.
My wifes radio never worked well. Installed this unit on her car Christmas day and was quite simple to do. Wiring it directly into her factory radio made it come in almost crystal clear. Almost because you have to tune it to an FM station but much better than any wireless types I have used years ago.
Pros: Clear, Easy to Install, Easy to Operate

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: If you have an aux input on your stock radio that will be the best way to connect it and would be superior to using the FM Direct. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy Apr 17, 2014 ] Staff
You can find a list of what the boomboxes are compatible with, meaning Stratus 7 in this case. In my experience using the old school Sportster, the newer models were not compatible and I could no longer purchase a car unit to replace the ones that had stopped working. So I ended up buying a whole new boombox which is designed to be compatible with several different models and a car unit. Hope this helps and good luck! [ PARI Jan 06, 2014 ]

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone or online chat to discuss compatibility with your current system. They will be able to pull up your receiver and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you. [ Jeff Dec 18, 2013 ] Staff

Thanks for your question Richard. Unfortunately, the OnStar antenna and the Sirius Antenna are not compatible with each other. You will need to have a separate antenna for Sirius reception. [ Jeff Dec 14, 2013 ] Staff
