Features

Overview: The Sirius Satellite Radio Vehicle Antenna is a high-performance magnetic-mount antenna designed specifically for Sirius Satellite Radio reception. It receives signals from satellites and terrestrial repeaters simultaneously, to ensure continuous reception.

Note: In addition to the antenna, you must have a Sirius Satellite Radio tuner and a subscription to Sirius Satellite Radio in order to receive satellite radio programming.

Magnetic Base: The Sirius Magnetic Mount Vehicle Antenna has a strong magnetic mount designed to hold the antenna in place during normal driving conditions (highway/city). The magnetic base also allows for easy removal for transferring the antenna to another vehicle.

Cables: The attached 21-foot micro-cable can be routed around window moldings and through access holes more easily than conventional size cables. The micro-cable is terminated with a right-angle SMB connector.

Installation: The installation of the magnetic antenna consists of two installation steps: mounting the magnetic antenna and cover/tail on the vehicle, and routing the antenna cable through the vehicle to the Sirius radio or vehicle dock. The Sirius vehicle antenna can be mounted to the roof or trunk of most sedans, coupes, SUVs, mini-vans, trucks, and convertibles. The Sirius antenna needs to have an unobstructed area of 3-inches by 3-inches around it.

Customer Q&A

Q
I bought a Sony Bluetooth audio system (model #MEX-BT4100P. I then pitched a Sirius magnetic mount vehicle antenna to hook into the Sony. However, the antenna has a coax type connection and the Sony has a different connection. Is there an adapter for this?

Hi Jennifer, I bought the same antennae so Crutchfield has asked if I can help you. I am not aware of an adaptor and not sure why one would exist. Does your vehicle not have an existing antenna? Are you attempting to operate your audio system as a standalone? I would find out first if the two components are even compatible from a performance perspective. This antenna is for Sirius XM. That is a specific band of reception for satellite radio.
