And with your iPod® connected, you can "tag" songs for purchasing later in the iTunes® store.

More channels, too

Depending on your subscription package, you'll also be able to enjoy SiriusXM's Xtra Channels with the SXV200V1, giving you access to over 20 new music, sports, entertainment, and dedicated Spanish-language channels. The package includes the hideaway satellite radio tuner, plus an antenna that attaches to your vehicle with its powerful magnetic base.

The SXV200V1 works with in-dash receivers with a "SiriusXM ready" logo. This tuner will not work with your car's factory satellite radio antenna, so you'll have to install the included antenna. You'll also need an XM or SiriusXM subscription. Satellite radio service is available only within the lower 48 states — not available in Hawaii or U.S. territories. Limited service is available in Alaska.

Note: Your receiver must have the "SiriusXM ready" logo — this adapter is not compatible with receivers that have "SAT Radio Ready", "Sirius Ready DC", or "XM Ready" logos.

Features

Overview: The SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner (SXV200V1) provides seamless in-vehicle integration of SiriusXM satellite radio to select "SiriusXM-Ready" aftermarket in-dash head units. The SXV200V1 is a compact, and easy-to-install package that includes a SiriusXM Connect vehicle tuner and antenna; it does not require any additional interfaces or cables. The SiriusXM SXV200V1 will require a SiriusXM subscription for access to the SiriusXM Satellite Radio programming.

SiriusXM Satellite Radio Programming: The SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner (SXV200V1) supports SiriusXM programming with access to 175+ SiriusXM channels via subscription. Check out the most popular SiriusXM subscription packages here.

Note: SiriusXM Satellite Radio operates on the XM Network. However, you can easily add this SiriusXM tuner to an existing Sirius or XM account for a Multi-Radio Discount Plan.

SiriusXM Xtra Channels: SiriusXM's Xtra channels offer a number of additional comedy & music channels as well as SiriusXM Latino; a set of dedicated Latin music, sports & talk channels. Click here for the latest channel listings. Access to Xtra channels depends on subscription package.

Compatibility: The SiriusXM SXV200V1 is compatible with select aftermarket in-dash head units from Alpine, Clarion Dual, Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer, and Sony which carry the official "SiriusXM Ready" logo and are fitted with the SiriusXM Connect proprietary port. Click here for a list of "SiriusXM Ready" compatible aftermarket head units.

Note: The SXV200V1 SiriusXM vehicle tuner is not compatible with Satellite Radio products which carry the following logos - "SAT Radio Ready", "Sirius Ready DC", or "XM Ready".

SiriusXM Vehicle Tuner: The SiriusXM vehicle tuner is a hide-away SiriusXM Satellite Radio tuner module which connects to a compatible "SiriusXM Ready" aftermarket in-dash head unit. The SiriusXM vehicle tuner module features an attached 25" cable terminated by a proprietary 8-pin connector which plugs into the SiriusXM Connect port on the rear-panel of your compatible head unit.

SiriusXM Antenna: The included SiriusXM antenna (model # XVANT1) features a magnetic base and an attached 23' cable. Cable is terminated by a right-angle SMB connector which plugs into the Antenna SMB port on the SXV200V1 vehicle tuner module. The antenna should be located outside of the vehicle (on the roof or trunk) for best reception.

Note: The SXV200V1 is not compatible with most factory Satellite Radio antennas. You will need to use the included SiriusXM antenna (XVANT1).

New SiriusXM 2.0 Features: Version 2.0 of the SiriusXM Connect satellite radio tuner offers brand new features for select SiriusXM-ready aftermarket head units.

  • TuneStart: With the TuneStart enabled, you will hear the beginning of the song when you tune to one of your favorite music channels in the current SiriusXM Preset Band.
  • TuneScan: If you've got more than one Favorites music channel, you've got a lot of choices every time you tune in. Instead of pushing every preset button and hearing the live song, you can simply tap TuneScan to get a short preview of songs that you have missed on each of your Favorite music channels from the current SiriusXM Preset Band. Find a song you like and tap the TuneScan button again to continue listening to that song. You can even skip back if you think you missed the preview or if you are not interested in the current preview, skip forward.
  • SmartFavorites: SmartFavorites allow you to rewind and replay any missed programming from your current Band of Preset channels. Miss a music, news, talk or sports segment? No Problem, because you can rewind and replay when you tune to one of your favorite channels from the current SiriusXM Preset Band and hear what you missed.

More Features: The SiriusXM SXV200V1 provides additional features for listening to SiriusXM satellite radio in the vehicle on select SiriusXM-ready car stereos.

  • Instant Replay: The SXV200V1 supports the SiriusXM Instant Replay function, so you can pause, rewind, and replay up to 60 minutes of live content. Listen to your favorite programming over again.
  • Game Alert: GameAlert that will display an on-screen message if your favorite teams' games are being broadcast. Jump to that station with the push of a button so you can listen to the game play by play. You can also get the latest score updates while you are listening to other stations.
  • Song/Artist Alert: With Song/Artist Alert you can get notified when your favorite songs or artists are being broadcast on any SiriusXM station. With the push of a button, you can jump right to that broadcast and catch the songs you want to listen to.
  • iTunes Tagging: The iTunes Tagging feature lets you Tag songs you hear on SiriusXM and stores the info on your iPod/iPhone (connected to your head unit via USB). The next time you connect your iPod/iPhone to iTunes, you will be able to preview your selections and then purchase and download them directly from iTunes.

Other Features: The SXV200V1 also offers the basic features you've come to expect from SiriusXM satellite radio on select SiriusXM-ready car stereos.

  • Text Display: Text information, such as the channel name, artist name, feature and song/program title is displayed on your compatible in-dash receiver.
  • Search Function: You can search for SiriusXM programming content by Category or by Channel.

Q
I have a 2012 f150. It has the Sirius logo on the stock radio, is it compatible ?
jack  Jan 25, 2015
1 answer
A
You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

Q
If i pair this with the Kenwood KDC-X998, are you able to save, tag, and pause music? I know these features are available when you purchase one of the portable units. Is this feature available in this pairing?
brent  Dec 12, 2014

A
While I am not certain about Kenwood specifically but it works with the pioneer that I paired it with. I would image since that is a function of Sirius that would work the same. Hope this helps.
james  Dec 14, 2014
A
I have never tried to save or tag a program and I don't use a kenwood receiver. I have a pioneer receiver and you can pause the program but I think that has more to do with the receiver you have rather than the XM add on so I believe the features would really depend on what your receiver is capable of doing. Also if you have the program paused on my receiver if power is lost to the receiver it no longer will keep the program paused for playback. Hope this helps.
tom  Dec 14, 2014
A
Yes it still allows you to pause, rewind and fast forward.

Unit works as advertised and you don't have to mount the receiver on the roof. I mounted mine on the corner of the dashboard. I'm very satisfied.

I don't show this tuner as being compatible. You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss what options there might be for your receiver.

Q
I installed this on my Altima last week and it works, but I only get 3 out of 4 bars reception. The antenna is properly placed on the roof with enough metal surrounding it. The wire install was easy with about 2 feet left over, coiled in the dash. And it's always 3 bars no matter what direction the car is facing. How can I improve reception? Thanks.

Q
Would I be able to use the built in SiriusXM antenna on my existing vehicle (2011 Ford Fusion SE) with this Tuner (or is there an adapter)? I am planning to replace the stock radio with a Kenwood Excelon DNX890HD. Would rather not run a separate antenna. If so do they sell just the Tuner w/out the antenna?

Q
Will this product work with JVC KW-HDR81BT? This product says it will work with all stereos that say SiriusXM Ready and mine does say that, yet my model number doesn't show up.
razorvines  Dec 30, 2013

It looks like the KW-HDR818BT is actually Sirius ready and not SiriusXM. You will want to contact an Advisor by phone or online chat to discuss compatibility. They will be able to pull up your receiver and see what your options are. If this unit will not work, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

Q
Is this an XM or Sirius tuner? Reading the reviews, I see users calling this either XM or Sirius. I have a number of Sirius tuners in my cars, and adding another is typically at a lower rate. If this is really XM, then the cost for the first tuner is higher. The label SiriusXM is misleading as the tuners are usually for one service or the other, not both.
robert  Dec 30, 2013

A
I was also concerned about this since I have been a long time Sirius customer. Turns out the new equipment like this tuner can support your account whether you are from the Sirius camp or the XM camp. So you can buy this with no worries. Hardware Note: The plug for this SiriusXM tuner that connects to the head unit is a new size (smaller than Sirius plug), so this new tuner can not plug into your old head unit that was designed for Sirius only.
charles  Dec 30, 2013
A
I can not actually tell you a proper answer for this. I was wondering myself. I have the Pioneer x5500bth and it works great, easy install. But as for the actual question IDK Sorry bro, it's a great unit if you end up with it though.
adam  Dec 30, 2013
A
It's an XM tuner.
jaime  Dec 30, 2013
A
This one uses the XM sat. It had the same channel line up as a older factory GM XM radio in another vehicle and was different than my previous Sirius radoi channel lineup. I know that it used to be as you said where you couldn't combine Sirius and XM radios and get the discount, but now that I have nothing but XM radios I don't know if that still holds true. Digging through the FAQ's on the SiriusXM site about the discount, I get the impression that may have changed. I would recommend calling the Listener Care number (1-866-635-2349) and ask a representative to find out for sure. I will say that after having my radio on a dash mount all of these years, it was nice to have it integrated with my radio, just like a factory setup. Best of luck to you!
marcus h  Dec 30, 2013
A
I believe it depends on the head unit you are attaching it to.
brent  Dec 30, 2013
A
I know this tuner works for xm, since that's the service I am with. I cannot say for sure if it will work with Sirius yet, as last I heard they still didn't have a cross compatible tuner. Hope this helps.
bronson  Dec 30, 2013
A
Unfortunately it is an XM tuner. I have both and by being persistent they will give you discounts if they check your Sirius acct.
brad  Dec 30, 2013
A
This is XM and requires an XM account. I too had Sirius and thought I could use this on my Sirius account but found out other wise.

Service is about $12 per month....there are cheaper options if you want to pay quarterly or yearly...the tuner comes with 3 months of service so that's a plus. I love it, couldn't live without it.
barbara  Dec 12, 2013

There is a contract. I pay monthly and have 3 radios so I get a discount. I am paying $12.00 monthly.

Service starts at $14.49 per month depending on Packages (Premium Channels cost extra but there is Plenty of content on the $14.49 plan,There is not really a contract but you select how often you pay for service there is a discount if you pay for a year.
gordon  Dec 11, 2013

I am on the quarterly payment plan with the XM all access package plan. I get online, mobile app playback, and all channels with this plan. My last bill fro the quarter was $65.94 after taxes. That comes out to just shy of $22/mo I don't believe there are contract pricing, since you pay per month, quarter, or year.. Hope this helps.
james  Dec 11, 2013
A
I had previously signed up for a lifetime membership which is no longer available but believe the monthly cost is around 13.00 with discounts if you pay in advance. I know I get a lot of emails asking me to buy and setup a second account with substantial discounts and know friends that when they told Sirius they were cancelling because of cost got service for as low as 5.00/month needless to say they are willing to deal. Good luck John
john a  Dec 11, 2013
A
Service prices vary depending on the package you choose. I believe there is a contract to start usually because when you first sign up there is a discounted deal but it's usually only for a few months. After that it's just a month to month contract and you can cancel at anytime. Go to the Sirius website to verify though.
