2010 Chevrolet Silverado
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
I have to admit I was a little hesitant to spend this much money on a sub box, but you know how much space is limited in a truck so I decided to do it (I have no room behind seat for a slim regular box). After install, I have to say it fits like a glove under the bench seat and looks OEM. Sounds great too (paired with a 10" Kicker Comp S). Plus since it's fiberglass, doesn't add any weight, so that's nice. Also, nice solid spring-loaded speaker wire connectors. My only complaints are: 1) I don't know why all these vehicle-custom box manufacturers insist on making these for under the driver's side backseat...it's a truck! Now I need to go around to the passenger side to get the tools and straps under my backseat. Maybe there is a sound reason for it, but I think I would take a small decrease in perfect sound wave reflection for the sake of vehicle usability. But I looked at three different manufacturers, and they all put it under the driver's side. 2) The mounting brackets they sent aren't tall enough to use the mount point on the box (had to bend the brackets to make it work, but hey, in the end it worked fine). 3) Not really a complaint, but on this specific box with my truck, make sure to get your speaker wire connected first before mounting the box. The connection is in a strange place, and you can't get to it again without un-mounting the box again. But, all in all, great product. Would definitely recommend. So far, really liking it.
