MTX vehicle-specific unloaded enclosures preserve all the legroom in pickup trucks and all the cargo space in SUVs. Each enclosure is an acoustically-designed, non-resonant, airtight enclosure, with the correct internal volume to yield optimum bass response from a compatible subwoofer.

So what makes these enclosures different than a standard sub box? MTX designs each enclosure for optimum performance in your specific vehicle's acoustic space. Using state-of-the-art rotational molding techniques, and exotic high-density polyethylene, MTX creates a sculpted masterpiece of a sub box, beautifully finished to blend with your interior. And they sound as good as they look, delivering bass that's tight, accurate, hard-hitting, and way down low.

This enclosure comes without speakers — you install two of your favorite 10" Type 1 subwoofers. For best results, MTX strongly recommends using a speaker designed for an enclosure with a volume of between 0.5 and 1.0 cubic feet. The enclosure mounts under the rear jump seat of the 1997-2003 Dodge Dakota club cab truck, replacing the factory tool tray (a molded cutout for your jack is built into the enclosure). Vehicle-Specific Custom Enclosure: The enclosure mounts under the rear seat of a 1997-2004 Dodge Dakota extended-cab truck, replacing the factory tool kit. The jack must be relocated into new location molded into the Bass Slammer enclosure.

I have two 10" punch 1 in this box and it sounds great inside the truck. Just for a little side note, the punch 1's are really tight fit for that box and if they where any bigger I would not have been able to get them in. Also it's nice to have a back seat again especially when you are trying to carry a little extra cargo and you don't want to put it in your bed. Overall, I am completely satisified with my purchase, and I would do it again. So, don't hestiate to buy this enclosure it is well worth your money.

The box fit is O.K. In my '01 Dakota RT, the front two bolt holes were off by 1/4 of an inch and the back three were off by 1/2 an inch. BE CAREFUL ON WHAT SUBS YOU BUY. Not all of them will fit. Fortunately the stage 1 punches I bought barely fit. I didn't worry to much about the screw holes for the subs, the box is after all plastic and most screws will drill their own holes. And you might want to get some better sub sealing stuff. The stuff that comes with the box isn't all that great.

Did not fit well in location. I had to get longer bolts to bolt it in. Also, speaker holes were very tight and not accommodating to many woofers. No pre-drilled holes, I had to mark and drill them myself. That being said. Once I did get it put in, and "convinced" the speakers to go in, it sounded great. The box is very stong and sturdy, and it is sealed. The seats don't sit exactly as low as they used to, but it's an extended cab, so not a bit deal. All I am running is one Audiobahn 400w amp(bridged) and two pioneer 10's, and I can actually feel the air passing between the seat and the wall of the cab when the bass hits.
