Got a small vehicle but need big bass? MTX's Road Thunder powered subwoofer delivers strong performance from an optimized combination of sub, enclosure, and amp. And the compact cylindrical enclosure offers a great, all-in-one solution for getting good bass from a small trunk or other tight locations.

A rugged 8" sub and unique enclosure
The RT8PT powered sub features an 8" Road Thunder woofer that uses a stiff poly cone and durable rubber surround for reliable performance in the long run. The uniquely shaped cylindrical enclosure is ported in the back for loud, fat bass. Gray industrial grade carpet protects the enclosure, and showcases the MTX logo printed on the side.

120 watts RMS
The rugged amp mounted on the back of the enclosure delivers 120 watts of clean, stable power for convincing low notes. Low-pass filter and gain controls let you adjust the sound to fit your ride and your style, while preamp and speaker-level inputs give you connection options. You can control the bass action from the driver's seat with the included wired remote.

Product Highlights:

  • amplified 8" subwoofer enclosure
  • built-in amplifier: 120 watts RMS power (360 watts maximum)
  • wired remote for control over amp level
  • mounting hardware included
  • preamp (RCA) and speaker-level inputs
  • frequency response: 35-250 Hz
  • variable low-pass filter (50-200 Hz, 12 dB/octave)

Who needs a powered subwoofer?

To produce bass, you need a sub, an enclosure, and an amplifier, and it can be little tricky to match them all up. A powered sub eliminates all the hassle, as the manufacturer designs the enclosure to house the sub and amp together. This all-in-one solution is especially useful in smaller vehicles, where there's no room to mount a separate amp, or in any vehicle where you need every bit of cargo space. Powered subs range from small, flat boxes that fit under your seat to larger boxes that go in your trunk.

Design: The unit is tube shaped with a flat bottom; the woofer fires from one end and the port and amp are on the other end. Two mounting straps are included to hold the enclosure in place.

Controls/Connections: All the RT8PT's controls and connections are located on the rear panel, along with the amplifier:

  • Speaker Level Input: Molex plug for use with the included harness

Remote Bass Knob: A wired External Bass Control (EBC) is included with the RT8PT. The EBC connects to the amplifier using the supplied 20' RJ-25 cord, it's designed to mount under your vehicle's dash within arm's length so its easily accessible to the driver. The approximate dimensions are:

  • Years 3-5: The purchase price of an item which becomes defective after the first two years and prior to the end of the warranty period will be prorated and credited toward the purchase of a new MTX product. The amount of proration is determined by dividing the original purchase price by the number of months in the warranty period (60), then multiplying the result by the number of months remaining in the warranty period.

Tons of punch

Written By InfernalRed, Colorado on Thursday, March 19, 2015

This little woofer is simply amazing. I love what it did to my system. I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee, which does''t allow for large speakers in the doors. I installed some nice 6.5" Polks in the front and read, but the low end was nonexistent. The Road Thunder filled that void and then some. Set up is a bit tricky (you would need to do that with any woofer). Also, it took some time to fine tune the balance between the sub output level and the stereo sub output. You also need to give the sub a few days to full break in. The sound is very tight and punchy. You can literally feel the bass kicks. I believe the smaller speaker size helps eliminate the 'boomy' sound I often hear with subs. That being said, this is not the sub for super low end stuff. It performs remarkably well with indy, rock, country, pop and folk.

Pros: Fantastic sound. Tight and punchy. Built in amp makes this a great investment if you're on a budget.

Cons: Struggles with super-low end tones not commonly found in popular music (a non issue for me) Little bit bulky, but not bad.

not bad for the price

This is pretty good, the bass enough to give you that nice extra sound that you might be missing

Pros: Adds nice bass and very good space, it doesn't take up the whole trunk

Cons: Does not give you that big bass that shakes up your car and it lacks a bit of power

This sub is great for my 2009 Ford Focus 4 door sedan. Fills the cabin nicely with lows. Great compliment to my Alpine UTE-52BT and SPS-517 system. I love the look of the carpet covering and the power output is just right for me. I listen to music from rap to rock and it's great.

Pros: Easy to install, easy to tune and super easy to rock!!

Cons: None

Better than my Blue Thunder

Written By Kirochan, Okinawa Japan on Monday, February 23, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought this because of the price, size, specs, and known brand name. I have a kicker 8" sub, ported box, and separate amp which sounds better and plays lows better. But of course that is more money. Didn't want to spend to much and i love the specs on my this, 130 RMS and the low end freq is good compard to other similar type products. The sound is good and can still shake the car and mirrors, Honda Civic hatchback. Just spend some time breaking it in and tweaking the radio EQ and this will surprise you.

Pros: Price and specs

Cons: Real low ends are not as good compared to my kicker, but it also cost more for that setup.

Terrific Sub

Written By JVM, Downingtown, PA on Sunday, January 04, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Powerful & compact. Easy to install, and the connections are simple & secure. Easy to adjust the gain and be hitting the lows right away! I did not realize how much I was leaving out of my truck's sound. This sub makes a world of difference! The package fit perfectly behind the seat in a standard cab F-150. The only needed improvement would be some kind of protection over the sub's speaker.

Pros: Simple install, fantastic sound, great enhancement.

Cons: Not much to complain about, except for maybe the need for a speaker cover/grill.

Great subwoofer. Going to purchase another.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Was looking for a some bass in my commuter car. I seen the all the great reviews on this little powered sub so I figured it might be the one to try. It's compact but provides a hard hitting clean sounding bass. I plan on purchasing another on for my Mega Cab Dodge Ram. It fits perfectly behind the seat with enough room to still recline the rear seats. MTX has always made a great product for the price. Very happy with this product.

Pros: Great price! lots of bass! compact.

Cons: None so far!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Needed bas in my 1999 Chevy K1500 extended cab truck. Options are limited for this truck as there is little room & the custom fit sub box is way expensive. Did some measuring and it does fit under the rear seat on the drivers side. It is snug but the seat does lock down. Hooked it up to a Sony receiver with sub control & WOW. I was expecting a little bass to just fill in. This thing ROCKS! I listen to all kinds of rock music & it's perfect for that. It's more than I neeed & I love it. For anybody with a Chevy extended cab give this a try, you'll love it.

Pros: Big sound from small package. Everything you need in one unit.

Cons: None

It custom fit in limited back seat space , as if designed for this model truck. Holy rumble in the jungle Batman!! This product will grab your attention and then some!! Excellent power & deep base response--you will not be disappointed !!

Pros: All of the above

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great little sub if your looking to enhance the bass especially in a factory set up. Its not overly loud but you can feel it and hear it in the car. If your wanting to be obnoxious and show off what your listening to the world, this is not for you. If you just want quality bass to enjoy in your car and pretty good punch, this sub/amp set up would be a perfect fit.

Pros: Easily replaced the factory sub in a Ford Expedition for more bass and better sound.

Cons: I was big into putting large stereo systems in my trucks when I was younger and this MTX makes me wanting to go larger, louder, and obnoxious again. :)

Good choice

Had it for a year now. I can get as much bass as I need. The adjustment knob is perfect. I listen to ALL types of music from oldies to hip hop to classic rock to hard rock. so i'm on that knob all the time. Good choice for the $ and fit behind the seat in my work van. It doesn't shake the neighborhood...but it sounds great in the van.

Pros: Small and works great no problems

Cons: None

Wonderful Li'l Sub

Written By Ted, Central Valley, CA on Thursday, March 13, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I had been searching for a sub for my '98 Mustang. I'm middle aged and didn't want to thump my trunk. I just wanted to round out my bass. After reading other reviews and watching some videos, I settled on this one. Man, I'm glad I did! It perfectly does what I want it to do. It provides enough low end to complete the sound, doesn't rattle my trunk or let others know I have a sub. If you're looking for noise, this isn't the sub for you. But, if you're looking for a decently priced sub that allows you to customize your music, this is the one for you. Completely satisfied.

Pros: Decent size, remote volume, easy to install

Cons: Could be more stable. I had to use some "L" brackets to keep it in place.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I picked up an open box item on the cheap to round out my system as the 5.25 front and 5.5 rear woofers sound nice but would distort a bit when cranked up. I think I have the sub turned up about halfway and it really pumps out the bass, my Jetta has a HUGE trunk so that helps. There is no longer a lack of bass in my car and the other speakers don't have to work so hard - they can now pump out the tight mids and crisp highs they were designed for. If you're looking for a sub to annoy your neighbors and other cars in traffic this one probably isn't the one. But if you are looking to shore-up a thin bottom end then it will probably do the job.

Pros: Price, no brainer install, sounds great!

Cons: None.

This is a very affordable option for a sub in any car. Compact and really packs a punch. Put it in my sons Chrysler and install was simple. Recommend using Crutchfields extra wire harness as quality of included harnesses was poor. Thought about even getting one for my sedan I was so impressed. Biggest challenge was getting power wire through my fire wall existing grommet. All down hill after that.

Pros: Price and performance.

Cons: Included MTX wire harnesses.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Purchased this 8" powered sub for my daughter's VW Beetle. Perfect little sub for a little car! Sub hits the lows pretty good! I didn't want something that shakes the car beside you but has enough bass to make my teenage daughter smile :-) The remote bass control is nice too, especially if you listen to several different genres of music. I also purchased an amplifier wiring kit which makes installation a breeze.

Pros: Simple form and function! Provides nice lows (at least in the small car I installed it in). Seems well built. Great price.

Crisp, clean sound right out of the box. Good solid bass, not gonna rattle your teeth, but perfect for a small/average size car/truck. Fit perfectly in the trunk area of my son's firebird, paired it with the JVC media player (Under $200 for both!)...great combo. Remember to order an Amp Wiring Kit, it is not included. Highly recommend.

Pros: Sound quality, very attractive, price, delivered in 3 days...for free!

Cons: Remember to order amp wiring kit.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have sued numerous subs over the years, and I have to say, this is the best bang for the buck in a powered sub I've seen! For the money, the bass I'm getting in my little hatchback is over the top. Given the adjustability (LPF and gain), and along with the control from my receiver, there is nothing this thing can't do. Aside from "competitions", where you try to blast your head off with volume, there is more bass available in my car now than I know what to do with!

Pros: Compact, easy to install (amp on back, 4 connections and it's over), super bass! The flat bottom makes it less likely to roll around, when not strapped in. Great design.

Cons: None that I can think of. for the money, this is the one!

Was looking for and inexpensive upgrade to my 2004 Silverado Ext Cab. Reviewed the JL Audio, Pioneer and many others, with that the price that goes along with it. So I stumbled on this speaker read the reviews and though I would take a chance for 129 with built in amp and MTX why not. This far exceeded what I thought I was going to get. 129 dollars I got what JL Audio would have costed me 652. Now for some, money is no object but I couldn't see spending that and I am glad I didn't. this little dude hits hard and sounds good with the variety of music I listen too. I would recommend this to anyone needing that extra thump in the car and not in the wallet

Pros: Small fits under back seat, neat in appearance

Cons: None

Good Little Box

Written By Shroom, York, PA on Friday, August 23, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

With having kids I decided long ago to get rid of my over the top system that I had and just went simple. This sub fit the bill perfectly. My Dodge Nitro has limited trunk space and I fill that up for work purposes so something small was what I intended to purchase. Even with this sub being small it sure packs a pretty good punch. Obviously it won't rattle your car as your driving, but you get plenty of good clean bass throughout. I've only got the sub pumping out about 40% and that's plenty for me. Agree with another poster about the red light on the bass control module being quite bright.

Pros: Small and compact. Packs some power you may not expect

Cons: bright red light on separate control module

I put this sub on the floor behind the front seat in my Camry. To me, it makes no sense to put a sub in the trunk. Most of the output will be absorbed or muffled. This thing sounds great right out of the box. Plenty of volume and very accurate musically.

Pros: Compact & rugged. Tight, punchy sound. Affordable.

Cons: None!

Nice lil box, deep bass, very satisfied. Installed in my 89 Camaro, fits perfectly in the little cubby hole in hatch back. I wanted something small, simply with great sound, got what I was looking, actually more. I didn't know it came with a remote bass control, pleasant surprise. Only con is the box needs a low bypass filter to eliminate vocals from come thru sub. and remote bass unit has a VERY BRIGHT red led light, is distracting at night, should have come with a grill.

Pros: Nice deep bass Remote bass control Compact design Hasn't overheated....yet

Cons: Needs a low bypass filter to eliminate vocals Remote bass unit has a VERY BRIGHT red led light Needs Grill

Originaly bought for my 03 Mazda protege, could not here it in the trunk at all I was going to return it but I figured I would try in my 94 Mazda b4000 ex cab pickup...... Sounds absolutley amazing could not be happier.

Cons: Not for sedans well trunks that is. A lot bigger then I had planned for. Not for rap.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I was looking into getting some hard hitting bass on my pt cruise but didn't want something 2 big or over powering I also wanted to save as much space in the truck. Well the Mtx rt8pt meet my requirements but also exceeded in the sound I thought I was going to get. People often mistakes it for12 when they hear the sound it produces. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a small but powerful sub

Pros: Small, easy set up, has mad power for it size

Cons: It's not in your car :p

A very inexpensive sub, but not for all applications. If you want a powerful sub with a great low end the look elsewhere, this sub was made to work in a wagon or truck where space is an issue but will not give you the sound you want if you put it in an enclosed trunk.

Pros: 1) easy install

The MTXRT8PT was exactly what I was looking for. I needed to improve the sound quality in my Jeep Wrangler and have limited space available. The fit behind the rear seat was perfect. Once hooked up, my system came alive. They produce all of the bass I could ever need. I listen a large variety of music ranging from blues, metal, and rap. They all sound GREAT!

Pros: Size Quality Price

Cons: None

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This sub is excellent. Greatly enhances car stereo, and doesn't take up all your trunk space. It looks great too! This is the second MTX sub that I've installed and I can assure you not the last. I wish I bought my first one from crutchfield! It would have saved me time and money. Their customer service is great, and you can't beat free priority mail shipping. For the price of this sub, what more could you ask for?

Pros: Good sound, compact, easy to install, great price, high quality enclosure

Cons: Hard to think of any.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I installed this in a 97 Jeep Wrangler. I am running it through alongside a Kenwood KMU-100 reciever and Polk Speakers as well as an Alpine KTP445U Amplifier.

The install did not take long and only one call to tech services. Most of the time was just running the wiring front to back. Grounded it through the passengers seat. I don't have the rear seat in my Wrangler so I just made it an extension of the center console. They are about the same height and are the same color so it worked well and left enough room for the heat to bleed off. With so may things to install behind the dash and along the body all I can say is invest in zip ties. The remote is also a huge plus. I just velcroed it to the front of the center console. This is also how secure the unit to the carpet in the cargo area. Two long strips of double sided velcro seems to have done the trick.

This unit sounds amazing. It is the "fill in" that I was looking for where the Polk Speakers did not have much low end, even though they are great speakers just small. You can more than "feel" unit work even with it firing to the rear of the vehicle. I read some reviews complain that they could not "hear" the bass. All I can think is that they did not adjust the levels or who knows. You can basically turn the unit all the way "down" and "up" as to how much low end it is putting out. As a caveat I listen to metal. It has plenty of double bass and blast beats and this unit bring it all out beautifully.

Pros: You can install on your own Remote in the drivers cockpit The sound and punch is incredible Amazing price.

Cons: Inside the Jeep it is still a foot print but that is not the units fault. Everything is a tight fit. I understand the need to advertise your product but it would be nice to not have MTX stamped all over it. Might as well say "steal me" on it.

A good overall powered enclosure for its price. Will not hit the sub-bass notes but puts out nice clean bass. Install is easy and straight forward.

Pros: Compact and light. Remote bass control for quick adjustments.

Cons: A bit punchy. Upper bass causes it to distort quickly.

Just Right!!! Works perfect in the mini-van with the new media input deck and some 5 1/4" 3way speaks in doors and 4" x 8" 2ways in back pannels. No big deal running a dedicated power lead to the battery for this self amplified unit. This sub fits perfect under the front of the middle seat of the van. Perfect touch to the rest of the system! I like the remote level control for adjusting bass volume on certain types of music such as: AC/DC, the Crystal Method, Datsik, all the way to Zeppilin! It doesn't matter because it all sounds great with this lil MTX RT8PT thumper!

Pros: Works perfect.

Cons: no protective grill over the speaker. (Be careful I guess)

Big Bang for a little buck! Easy to install and easy to adjust. This unit is nice that it is self contained. Fit well in a small cargo space.

Pros: This unit is small and compact for my application. Nice sound quality for the low power rating. Great addition to a stock stereo system.

Cons: The straps are a bit junky. Would be nice to have a grill cover over speaker.

I have had this sub for a year now, and am still pleased. I wanted to add a little depth to my car stereo, and this sub does not disappoint. I wanted something small, self powered, and built by a reputable company. This sub sounds excellent and does not take up a lot of space.

Pros: You can hear and feel the lower frequencies well enough, and not annoy everyone else around you.

Cons: Not as powerful as separate components, but there is more than enough to satisfy.

I have a small car so I thought this wud be perfect. I connected it to my stock radio, so I had to tap off my speaker leads. I was worried it would not respond good enough. But it is perfect. More than enough bass. And since I only have 4x6 plates and 4" in dash....the speakers do not have any bass but the MTX creates all the bass sounds perfect.

Pros: fairly smaller, excellent looks and construction

Cons: none

Seems great and heard from other people. Havent installed it yet because to do it professionally, costs alot. The local shop wants $200+ to do it. But hope to get it installed soon. Cant wait!

Pros: Inexpensive, big bass. Compact and good looks

Cons: Need to include everything to install it. Installation and wiring costs more than the speaker alone. Thats not cool

I use an Alpine CDE-103BT for my head end and combined with the MTX RT8PT I'm getting some fantastic bass sound... The installation with the wiring kit went smooth and by the numbers with no difficulties what so ever... A great combination for anyone who wants decent sub-woofer sound without installing an amp...

Pros: Great sound and easy installation

Cons: a little bit larger than I thought it would be but it still works great!!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Professionaly installed as part of a 4 speakers system (coaxial) powered by a 4 ch amp and JVC Arsenal head unit in a LandCruiser FJ80. It is so weak that the installer appologized. I do not listen to Rap or any other type of music full of bass but I do enjoy the fullness a good sub provides and this isnt it. I understand it is only 8 inches but it is mounted inside a wagon type vehicle. No matter which way the installer angled it, we could barely hear it let alone feel the bass. Fortunately this is a hunting vehicle/BOV and not a daily driver. Better to spend a bit more and go with a traditional setup than to buy this product and feel like you just lost $200. I would not recommend to a friend.

Pros: Great concept Nice price

Cons: Very poor power wise. Bass gets drowned by my speakers.

Do not recommend

Written By BenR, Jacksonville, FL on Wednesday, November 16, 2011

Bought this for my infiniti g35 sedan. The installer guessed that my car must be insulated really well, because you cannot hear the sub AT ALL. It's not that the bass isn't good - you can't even hear it to judge whether it's good or not. I do not recommend this product if you have a sedan. Total waste of money. They should tell you that this is for hatchback/open cab installations only. Boo.

I was looking for a small sub for the limited space in my 98 Jeep Wrangler. I just needed something that would give me a little bass. This little sub delivers. It sounds great. If you are looking for something to disturb you neigbhors look elsewhere. It will get loud and it sounds great though. Highly recommend.

Pros: compact size, perfect for a jeep wrangler. Powerful little sub. Sounds great.

Cons: None

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I looked around for a long while before deciding on this powered sub. The first one I received would not work. I called tech support at Crutchfield and they walked me through several tests that verified the unit was not working. I have no previous experience installing anything like this but tech support was great at explaining how and why I doing each test.

Crutchfield had another unit to me in a couple of business days so you could not ask for more than that. Sometimes things are defective so they made it right same day.

This one worked and it sounds great....More than what I was expecting. I would recommend this to anyone looking to fill that bass void but not to "over the top".

Jeep info...I have the inta-truck in my cargo area and the sub sound great. And of course this protects my sub from theft. I was concern trunk would kill the sound but not true...The bass is strong.

Pros: Supplied "fullness" in music I was missing. Compact Feels well built.

Cons: First one delivered would not work (thermal protection mode light was on immediately) Powered remote light is too bright mounted under my dash. It is like a red laser pointer light..too much. Would have been nice to offer (addtional carpet colors)....No big deal.

It sounds great on my 04 Odyssey and after a little tweeking on my Pioneer's AVIC-D2 settings i was impressed. it gave it a feel of an high end audio system you know the ones that BMW, Mercedes and Acura's come with, you won't wake up your neighbors but inside the car it sounds great!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've had a number of powered subs through the years, and this blows all the others every way. The bass from the 8" is unbelievable. The overall size of the package versus how much you get out of it is really amazing. The price will fit virtually any budget, and is an absolute bargain. Installation is an absolute breeze. and you can fit it almost anywhere, except under a seat. I put this in the cargo area of my Isuzu Rodeo and it really doesn't negatively impact cargo space enough to be a concern. With my JVC KDA-615, Kicker KS-400's (yes, 4"), and the RT8PT, any kind of music sounds absolutely perfect...from classical to rap, country to rock. Thank you Crutchfield for the affordable and yet amazing sounding car stereo system!

Nice little sub for the price - used this in two installations so far, for mostly rock/pop listening, in cars that wouldn't accommodate anything bigger (RX-7 and Camaro convertible). The included bass control is great, too, for head units that don't provide sub output level control.

added a great amount of bass to my system, sound great with any type of music. very easy to install I did it myself. works great with my sony head unit and my sony 75 watt speakers in the front and 60 watt in the back. this subwoofer completed my stereo system. it sounds clean and boomy but strong and accurate depending on the type of music. my friends love it and they want one too. I recommend this product to anyone who wants a subwoofer that isnt extremly loud but loud enough to make your seat shake. for people who love great sound, not for people who want to be heard from a distance.

Bought this unit for my 350Z and it works better than I ever expected. By using the HPF in my Clarion deck, and adjusting the RT8PT to higher range, it gives good audible bass without rattling my 6 1/2" speakers. It's perfect for small spaces and the install is less demanding than separates. It comes with Bass Booster remote which is handy for lower volumes. Best powered sub that I've seen!

Great product.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This bad boy rocks my socks. It works well and adds nice low end when you need it, but doesn't crowd out the rest of the music, making for great composition overall. I bought an old used Bronco and upgraded the head unit, door and rear speakers, and thought it needed a little extra. This little powered bass tube fit the bill. It fills the enormous cabin of my vehicle with just the right touch of low end thump, and really punches in tight bass notes appropriately. I went on a thousand mile road trip with this as a component to my cars audio system, and even at 70 mph in a cabin with little noise isolation the clarity was startlingly good. I'm used to a 2,000 watt bass system I installed in a Jeep Cherokee, and while that system could punch you in the gut, I don't feel it did as good a job as this unit in providing efficient clean sounding bass that added to the music. Even when my larger system was tuned to match the music, it couldn't hold a candle to the way the MTX performs.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great powered subwoofer! It does a great job using the High Level Input signal. Very powerful, and super crisp sound. When I got it and first hooked it up, it sounded very weak and the signal wasn't clear at all. But, it turned out to be a semi-bad ground hook up (not enough total voltage flow). So with that quickly changed *thanks to Crutchfield*; the sub works perfectly!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This product does exactly what is it supposed to do. Don't expect it to wake up your neighbors when you come home, but it does bring the bass to life in your music. I barely have the knob turned up to half way on the sub itself and it's plenty loud, it shakes my mirrors. I've very happy with the product, it doesn't take up very much room in the trunk of my WRX and its not so overpowering that it causes annoying rattles everywhere.

excellent bass in a nice package

Written By Marshall, NC on Saturday, May 07, 2011

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This sub puts out plenty of bass for normal listening and is small enough that
it can be tucked away at the top of most trunks leaving plenty of room for
packages. The remote volume control is a nice touch for those whose head units
lack that feature but wisely enough isn't required for those like me with built
in sub controls.

I also find the sub to be aesthetically pleasing. It's grey color is subtle and
matches my cars interior. The sub is the perfect size to center behind the back
seats allowing enough room for the bass to resonate, and the strap design and
quick connections allow it to be removed if need be.

Do you want bass that the neighbors will hear? This sub gets to that level but
barely. Do you want bass that fills the music out but can still knock you off
your seat when you want it, then this is the perfect sub for you. why spend more
just to have to turn the volume way down after all.

This little sub has a good quality sound. It does not hit as hard as some bigger

number fits the bill. If you are tight on space or just don't want to use all of your space
with speakers then this is a great alternative. I would recommend this to anyone that

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've gone through three diff powered sub setups (clarion, 2 kenwoods) before I
found this one. Basically if it will deliver tight punchy bass in an open top
Wrangler doing 65MPH it will do well in almost any car. I wholeheartedly
recommend this if you like tight, punchy, rock style bass. If you want boomy,
rattly, rap style bass then this isn't for you.
