Features

Performance Certificate: MTX tests each amplifier and the measured specifications (power output, S/N ratio, THD+N, and frequency response), along with the amp's serial number, are recorded on the included Performance Certificate. The amp must meet or exceed the rated specifications in order to leave the factory.

Adaptive Class D Technology: While typical Class D amps tend to generate high frequency energy that must be filtered to prevent harmonic interference in the FM radio frequency range, Adaptive Class D Technology directs the amp's switching energy away from FM radio ranges as the amp's load and output increases. This improves the amp's overall signal-to-noise ratio and eliminates interference generated by more common Class D amps.

Xtant Technologies Cooling (XTC): The Xtant Technologies Cooling (XTC) thermal-regulated, turbo-charged intercooler supplies fan forced cool air evenly and constantly through tightly packed, bonded fins. Fan speed is continuously variable and controlled by amplifier's output load and the temperature of the heatsink and transformers. Exhaust of internal heatsink is strategically positioned to cool transformers and maintain maximum performance at all volumes.

Prizm EFX: With the MTX Prizm EFX, you can adjust the color of the backlighting to match your vehicle interior. The color can be adjusted from red to purple to blue to green to white, or any color in between. If desired, you can have the Prizm EFX lighting to pulsate with the beat of music or turn the lighting off altogether.

Controls

Top Mounted Controls: All the adjustable controls are top mounted for easy access.

Input Sensitivity: The input sensitivity switch can be set to x1 or x10. When set to x1, the input sensitivity is adjustable from 100mV - 1V. When set to x10, the input sensitivity is adjustable from 1V - 10V.

Bass Boost: For added intensity the bass boost is adjustable from 0 to 18 dB at 40 Hz.

Low-Pass Filter: The internal low-pass crossover point is continuously variable from 40 Hz to 200 Hz. The crossover slope is 24 dB per octave.

External Bass Control (EBC): The External Bass Control lets you adjust the output level of the amplifier from anywhere in the vehicle. When attached to the mounting bracket, the External Bass Control is 1.6" wide, 1.042" tall, and 2.402" deep (including the knob). If flush mounted, the knob protrudes approximately 0.86 inches. The 20' cable attached the the EBC plugs into a 3.5mm mini-jack on the front of the amp.

Connections

StreetWires Connectors: This amp features StreetWires wire terminals for efficient current and maximum voltage transfer. All the connections are across the front of the amp and sized for heavy gauge wire:

  • Power: 4 gauge
  • Ground: 4 gauge
  • Remote: 8 gauge
  • Capacitor: 8 gauge
  • Speakers: 8 gauge

Smart-Engage: When using the speaker-level input, the amp automatically turns on when it senses signal from the head unit, eliminating the need for a remote turn-on connection. In many cases, this feature will allow you to install the amplifier without removing your radio.

Bi-level Inputs: The RCA inputs will accept both speaker-level and line-level signals. To take advantage of the speaker-level input, use the included high-level adapter cables.

Capacitor Terminals: Shorted to the main power and ground terminals beside them, there are positive and negative capacitor terminals; making adding a capacitor easy.

Warranty

5 Year Warranty Terms: This product carries a 5-Year Prorated Warranty with the following terms:

  • Years 1-2: Products found to be defective in materials or workmanship during the first two years will be, at Mitek's option, repaired or replaced by Mitek at no charge. The warranty period does not renew, but continues on from the original date of purchase.
  • Years 3-5: The purchase price of an item which becomes defective after the first two years and prior to the end of the warranty period will be prorated and credited toward the purchase of a new MTX product. The amount of proration is determined by dividing the original purchase price by the number of months in the warranty period (60), then multiplying the result by the number of months remaining in the warranty period.
