About the MTX TM601D
A compact amp with big-time power
A compact amp with big-time power
The MTX TM601D provides the high-efficiency Class-D power you need to make your boat's subwoofer rock the dock. This mono amp sends out 100 watts RMS to a 4-ohm load, or 200 watts to a 2-ohm sub. Its compact size means you can install it in a small storage locker or other tight spot in your boat.
Like the rest of the MTX Thunder Marine line, the TM601D meets tough UV and salt/fog protection standards, so you won't have to worry about your sound equipment while you're blasting across a lake or cruising out to your favorite fishing spot. A special coating helps prevent corrosion on the circuit board, and the amp's designed to disperse heat efficiently so it won't overheat. Sealed covers keep the amplifier controls and speaker terminals dry, so you'll be able to enjoy great sound for seasons to come. And MTX protects this amp with their unique 5-year warranty.

Features
Overview: The MTX TM601D is a mono Class D subwoofer amplifier designed for the harsh marine environment. The amp features a conformal coated PCB and covered controls. The output power is 100 watts RMS x 1 at 4Ω and 200 watts RMS x 1 at 2Ω.
Gain: The amp's rotary gain control is variable from 200mV to 2.5V to match the output of the source unit.
Crossover: The amp features a built-in low-pass crossover with a cutoff frequency of 85 Hz; the crossover cannot be bypassed.
Bass Boost: The TM601D's bass boost circuit is centered at 85 Hz. It can be set to 0dB (flat), +6dB, or +12dB.
Connections
Power Terminals: The TM601D features screw terminals for power, ground and remote turn-on. Each terminal will accommodate bare wire, spade connectors, or ring terminals (up to 0.55" wide for power and ground and up to 0.325" wide for remote turn-on). A Phillips-head or flat blade screw driver (not supplied) is required to tighten/loosen the terminals.
Speaker Connections: The amplifier is equipped with two pair screw terminal speaker outputs. The outputs are internally wired in parallel, making it easy to connect two subwoofers. Each terminal will accommodate bare wire, or spade connectors or ring terminals up to 0.325" wide. A Phillips-head or flat blade screw driver (not supplied) is required to tighten/loosen the terminals.
Warranty
5 Year Warranty Terms: Although the included paperwork indicates otherwise, MTX products purchased on or after January 1st, 2013 carry a 5-Year Prorated Warranty with the following terms:
- Years 1-2: Products found to be defective in materials or workmanship during the first two years will be, at Mitek's option, repaired or replaced by Mitek at no charge. The warranty period does not renew, but continues on from the original date of purchase.
- Years 3-5: The purchase price of an item which becomes defective after the first two years and prior to the end of the warranty period will be prorated and credited toward the purchase of a new MTX product. The amount of proration is determined by dividing the original purchase price by the number of months in the warranty period (60), then multiplying the result by the number of months remaining in the warranty period.
