MTX's TN693 6"x9" full-range speakers will take your in-car audio experience to the next level, whether they're powered by a factory radio, an aftermarket car stereo, or a small amp. Each speaker sports a durable polypropylene woofer, a 2-1/8" midrange, and a 1/2" Mylar tweeter, and they'll handle up to 60 watts RMS. Grilles are included.

Why replace your car's original speakers?

The speakers that originally came in your car were made from inexpensive materials, designed to create acceptable sound at the lowest possible cost to the manufacturer. If you love music, you deserve better. Name-brand aftermarket speakers deliver fuller, richer sound with considerably more detail and nuance, and they're capable of playing louder and cleaner than factory speakers. Connect new speakers to your factory radio and you'll get the best possible sound from your dealer-equipped system. Pair them up with a new car stereo for a level of enjoyment that can rival a high-fidelity home audio experience.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These were the final (I hope) addition the my daughters Camry. When she got it the front's were toast so after months of complaining I found the round versions of these on sale. I installed them when doing a window motor and she was happy. Then the CD quit in the head unit so back to Crutchfield and we picked a unit that she plugs her IPod into and again I was a hero. Then the rears started to go so I ordered these to match the fronts. I used my Dremel to drill the holes (a bit tricky) and they dropped right in with the supplied hardware and wire adapters. I am a hero again. Like the title says, great for the money if your doing a simple upgrade or replacement.

Pros: Great for the money

Cons: None

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Power by a Rockford Fosgate 60 x 4 Punch series amp. They slipped right in using help from the screws included. Very Close Fit. MTX is a back in the day name, but they were good then, and they are good now. I'm happy most of all with the sound quality to price ratio. It got me rockin' 6 X 9's in my 01-03 CL. Replaced Polk Components which replaced stock. The frequency response range 40-20,000 kHz It complements the K 15 I sometimes throw in the trunk. 40 is pretty low but the MTX handles it well. These would also be good for a person replacing stock speakers and keeping the original stereo head unit. I happen to have a Kenwood barking orders.

Pros: price, fit, watts, frequency response levels.

Cons: close fit

great product! !!

Great speaker for the money! A friend of mine ad MTX subs a few years back, and they were stellar as well, which prompted me to get these. I'm curious to see how the thunderdome's would sound (albeit twice the money)

Pros: Incredible bass for 6X9's the vocals and hi's are stellar as well.

Cons: I need dynomat for my rear shelf now.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I just installed a pair of these in a set of pre fab boxes on th rear hatch of my 93 camaro powered by an mtx 200/2 terminator. They have crisp sound, good clarity, and nice bass that fills the cabin of the car. I'm happy with my purchase and would strongly recomend these to anyone wanting a budget upgrade.

Pros: Good value and sound

Cons: None

Product Research

Woofer Cones: The MTX Terminator series speakers feature durable and rigid polypropylene woofer cones. Polypropylene is also resistant to the moisture and temperature extremes found in automotive applications.

Midrange/Tweeter: Each speaker features a 2" Mylar cone midrange and a 1/2" Mylar dome tweeter.

Warranty: Although the speaker reviewed and measured (taken from our first shipment) included information indicating a 1 year warranty, MTX recently changed to a 5-Year Prorated Warranty with the following terms:

  • Years 1-2: Products found to be defective in materials or workmanship during the first two years will be, at Mitek's option, repaired or replaced by Mitek at no charge. The warranty period does not renew, but continues on from the original date of purchase.
  • Years 3-5: The purchase price of an item which becomes defective after the first two years and prior to the end of the warranty period will be prorated and credited toward the purchase of a new MTX product. The amount of proration is determined by dividing the original purchase price by the number of months in the warranty period (60), then multiplying the result by the number of months remaining in the warranty period.
