MTX engineers evaluate the "sonic signatures" of top-selling vehicles so they can design ThunderForms as custom acoustic matches. With "rotational molding," MTX ensures that each ThunderForm fits and blends inconspicuously into your vehicle. They're made of high-density polyethylene resin to curb resonances and deliver bass that's tight, hard-hitting, and way down low. The enclosure is seamless and airtight, with the correct internal volume to yield optimum bass response from the subwoofers.
This molded MTX ThunderForm comes loaded with one premium-quality 10" Thunder4500 subwoofer modified especially for amplified Thunderforms, and powered by a specially-designed 200-watt mono amp. It mounts behind the driver's seat of a standard cab 1996-up Toyota Tacoma truck (with bench or bucket seats). There is no loss of leg room, but the factory jack arm must be relocated. Hardware is included.
Installation Note: When this ThunderForm is installed in a truck with bucket seats, the carpeted rear cover must be removed from the vehicle. This installation requires drilling an 11/64" hole in the cab wall.
