About the MTX TX1
These MTX Thunder Axe Series soft-dome tweeters can improve your system's high-frequency reproduction for a surprisingly low price. Whether you're tweaking your current system or replacing some burned-out old tweeters, you'll be impressed with their performance. You can mount these 1-3/16" tweeters almost anywhere, so you'll be able to improve the soundstaging in a wide variety of vehicles.
The package includes both flush-mount and surface-mount adapters, and the tweeters will swivel in either adapter for optimal imaging. The high-pass crossover uses Mylar capacitors for superior signal integrity, and you can choose between a gentle 6 dB per octave slope or a sharp 18 dB per octave dropoff, whichever works best in your system. Adjustable tweeter levels help you tailor the sound to your music and your taste.

Warranty: Although the speaker reviewed and measured (taken from our first shipment) included information indicating a 1 year warranty, MTX recently changed to a 5-Year Prorated Warranty with the following terms:
- Years 1-2: Products found to be defective in materials or workmanship during the first two years will be, at Mitek's option, repaired or replaced by Mitek at no charge. The warranty period does not renew, but continues on from the original date of purchase.
- Years 3-5: The purchase price of an item which becomes defective after the first two years and prior to the end of the warranty period will be prorated and credited toward the purchase of a new MTX product. The amount of proration is determined by dividing the original purchase price by the number of months in the warranty period (60), then multiplying the result by the number of months remaining in the warranty period.

I bought these to replace stock tweeters. They did there best to keep up with an amp. I finally found the time to install these tweeters. Sound fantastic!!! RMS is 90 watts so they should be able to work for quite a whilesome.
