Bluetooth Connectivity Kit (for Porsche): The CRUX BEPRS-43 Bluetooth Connectivity Kit is tailored to integrate your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone with the factory entertainment system in select Porsche automobiles (w/ factory PCM 2.1 navigation system and SIM-card slot). It supports Bluetooth hands-free communication and wireless music streaming between your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone and the Porsche's factory system. This Bluetooth in-car kit consists of a hide-away Bluetooth module, external microphone, power/ground harness, and T-harness.

Vehicle Compatibility: The CRUX BEPRS-43 is supported by the following Porsche vehicles that feature the factory PCM 2.1 navigation system with a SIM-card slot on the radio.

Parrot Chipset: The CRUX BEPRS-43 features a CK5050 Parrot chipset and is Bluetooth ver. 2.1 certified for hands-free phone communication and wireless audio streaming.

Multi-Device Pairing: The CRUX BEPRS-43 pairs with the vast majority of Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones (including iPhone, Blackberry, & Android). You can pair up to 10 mobile devices with the BEPRS-43, however only one device can be used at a time. Once paired, the BEPRS-43 will automatically connect with your mobile device when in range (up to 30').

Hands-Free Phone Communication w/ External Mic: The CRUX BEPRS-43 supports Bluetooth Profile HFP and comes with an external microphone that enables the telephone function of your vehicle's factory radio for hands-free communication between the factory radio and your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone. Phone calls can be answered and ended using your vehicle's factory radio or steering wheel controls. Your music will be muted and an audible ringtone will be heard through your vehicle front speakers when there is an incoming call. The BEPRS-43 will even announce the caller's name and phone number through your car audio system (front speakers only) and display this information on your factory radio. Your mobile phone's contacts (up to 400) are automatically downloaded to your vehicle's factory radio; and you can use the factory radio, factory steering wheel controls, or factory voice recognition function to dial those contacts. This Bluetooth connectivity kit uses DSP and Echo-cancellation technology for clear conversations on both sides of the phone call. You can adjust the microphone sensitivity, caller audio volume, and ring tone volume.

Wireless Music Streaming: The CRUX BEPRS-43 supports Bluetooth Profiles A2DP and AVRCP, so you can wireless stream audio from your Bluetooth-enabled mobile device to your vehicle's factory audio system (mono sound only). You can stream music stored on your Bluetooth-enabled device or stream music apps (such as Pandora, SiriusXM Radio, iHeartRadio, etc.) that are playing on your Bluetooth device to your vehicle's sound system (one or two front speakers). You'll also be able control basic playback functions (such as Play/Pause, Volume Up/Down, Previous/Next Track {not iPhone}) from your factory radio and steering wheel controls (if equipped). Your wireless streaming music will be interrupted during a phone call.

SMS Compatible: If your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone is compatible with SMS (Short Message Service), the CRUX BEPRS-43 will display the text message on your factory radio screen and allow you to respond from the factory radio controls.

Installation: The CRUX BEPRS-43 installs behind your vehicle's factory radio. The fiber-optic cable of the factory radio gets unplugged and the included T-harness takes it place on back of the radio. Then the fiber-optic cable plugs into the T-harness and the T-harness into the interface module. There is also a power/ground harness which will need to be plugged into the interface and hardwired to your factory radio's wiring for 12-volt constant and ground. Finally, connect the external microphone to the BEPRS-43's mic input and mount the microphone to your sun-visor.
