Q
I recently purchased the Alpine iLX-507, a reverse camera and the Crux PS-RVC. Installed the radio, and it works great. I will soon install the camera. No instructions came with the install of the noise suppressor. Where/how do I install that?

Greetings Kevin, and thank you for your question. The Crux PS RVC is a noise filter. If you are experiencing some electrical interference on your screen from your front camera. This should suppress that noise.

Installed new led reverse lights and now have static when I press the brake pedal...will this product solve my issues?

Christopher... There are is sufficient missing information in your query to make anything other than a guess as a response. This filter works for me for a back-up camera that gets it's B+ (12v) from the brake light circuit. It's not a problem if the engine is off -- but rather provided enough filtering to rid me of electrical static in the monitor for that back-up camera.... so if it's line filtering that you need --- this is a simple solution. Here's additional information we would need to help you: 1) when you say 'static' I assume that it's coming through the radio speakers when those LEDs are energized. If this happens only when the engine is running ... then the filter is a good bet to resolve the issue. If this happens without the engine running -- then the issue may be the car's / truck's electrical system (they are not all the same) may be reading the much lower current required by the LEDs as a circuit issue (blown lamp / open circuit, etc.) and that may have a resulting impact in your sound system...2.) you didn't mention what type of vehicle this is happening in --- which -- again -- if this is creating the static with the engine not running -- check with the manufacturer to see if you can integrate LEDs into your lighting system with out adding additional circuits to rid you of these issues. Good Luck!

Hard to say.... I saw some improvement but it was not consistent. If I were you I'd go ahead and do it since it's relatively inexpensive and easy to install. Good luck.

I don't have a backup camera YET but I am getting humming noise that get a high pitch as I accelerate. I figure it was a grounding issue so I ran a ground wire from my battery to my amp and radio still got the annoying hum. Will this help me out???

Hi Julio, thank you for your question. It does sound like a grounding wire issue, but the Crux PS-RVC Noise suppressor, won't be your best solution. I suggest making sure your ground wire is making a solid connection with the metallic body of your car, and a strong connection with your amp and be sure that the ground wire is the same gauge as your power wire. If you purchased your gear from us, please contact tech support with your order number, they will able to pull up your order, and help you with trying to track down the source of your issue. If you did not purchase your gear from us, chat with an Advisor online, or by phone at 1-800-324-9695. They will be able to speak with you about your current setup, and see if we may have a better solution for you.

I had a similar issue when connectjng the backup camera to my radio and this device did not help. In fact, it got worse. I finally decided to disconnect the ground wire from the tail light and the interference then cleared up. So I tapped off the rear ground and it has been fine since.

The real answer is you MUST have a good ground. Even if it means a hard wire to the frame. This should help with any other interference from the car alternator

If you are only getting the noise when the vehicle is in reverse, yes, The PS-RVC should help.
