Overview: The BG-E14 Battery Grip is
designed for the Canon EOS 70D digital SLR camera. Included with the battery
grip are two battery magazines: the BGM-E14L which can hold up to two LP-E6
Lithium-Ion battery packs, and the BGM-E14A which holds six "AA" batteries. No batteries

Installation: After removing the battery and battery
compartment from the camera, the BG-E14 mounts to the bottom of the camera, held in place by
threading the attachment screw into the camera's tripod insert. An additional
tripod insert is provided on the bottom of the grip. One or two LP-E6 batteries can be installed into the Battery
Grip. When two batteries are installed in the magazine, power is supplied
simultaneously from both batteries, effectively doubling the battery life. In
the event the rechargeable batteries are not available for use, you can power
the camera with six "AA" batteries
in the BGM-E14A battery magazine.
Battery Life: Using the BG-E14 on the EOS 70D camera, the battery capacity is as follows:

controls, conveniently placed for use when the camera is in the vertical
(portrait orientation) position. The controls include a shutter button,
multi-function button, multi-controller, main dial,
AF Start button, AF point selection button, AE Lock button, and a vertical grip
operation switch. With the switch in the
Off position, the controls on the

Optional Hand Strap: The Battery Grip has a mount for the
