Overview: Attaching the Canon Bluetooth Unit BU-30 to a compatible Canon printer enables the printer to print under wireless control of a device compatible with the Bluetooth standards. You can print wirelessly from a Bluetooth-equipped mobile phone, PDA, camera, or other device.

Compatibility: The Bluetooth Unit BU-30 features a USB type-A connector which plugs into your compatible Canon printer's USB type-A port. The BU-30 is compatible with the following Canon printers:

I purchased the canon BU-30 to provide Bluetooth wireless printing with my Sony VAIO P notebook computer and my canon Pixma ip 100 mobile printer. The set up works great. It was very easy for me to install the BU-30 and to establish a Bluetooth wireless connection with the printer and PC. The BU-30 lights up blue when it receives printing info from the PC letting me know it is connected. I am very pleased with the speed of printing using the Bluetooth wireless option, it appears faster than most USB connected printers. I am very satisfied with the canon BU-30 and I am pleased with the purchase from Crutchfield.

Product works as described. Much easier to set up than the other reviews would lead one to believe. Just load the drivers from the disc first and its easy to set up. Use it to print from both a MacBook Pro and a Dell Inspiron wirelessly. Very happy with the product.

The BU-30 with my Canon iP100 prints as if I am still connected my printer with the USB cable.The main reason for getting the BU-30 was to print without cables when I take the printer on the road and to print from my Iphone 4S.Printing from my Iphone with out touching my MAC PRO is just great.To All MAC owners with a Canon Ip100 Printing from your iPhone is possible and fast.It took a lot of work to get everything right.

The Canon bluetooth required a little extra steps in setting it up. Once it was configured with Canon software it worked fine.

The strange thing is that the adapter can be installed inside the printer or you can use the USB port on the side of the printer. Why wouldn't Canon simply install the adapter inside and sell it that way?

This product activates just fine - but be careful - it is NOT going to do what you think it will if you are trying to use it to work with Apple products.

Apple products Bluetooth does NOT provide for integration with printing Bluetooth at this point.
