Whether you're shooting high-intensity sports or high-energy toddlers, you can appreciate the speedy photo capture that a lens with fast autofocus delivers. That's why Canon has honed the power of their Ultrasonic Motors (USM) for use in their EF lenses.

The EF 75-300mm lens with USM delivers exceptional telephoto ability, for capture of far-off subjects, or for detailed close-ups of nearby objects. And the built-in Micro USM gives you rapid and quiet autofocus. Picture a frame-filling photograph of a distant hot-air balloon, followed by a sparkling shot of your daughter's face as she watches it — all taken in a matter of seconds. With that kind of potential, this measures up as an unusually capable lens for the price.

Q
my lens started making a clicking noise some time ago when zoomed out past 100mm mark, I was wondering if this is normal or if any of you guys lenses made that noise. it only does it when I move it not when the camera focuses it. there is no difference in picture quality to it either, just the clicking noise, thanks, Tina. ?

I have been using my EF 75-300 for about 6 months. It's on the camera, off the camera several times during my photo sessions. I have noticed no clicking noise.
