One of the best ways to make a "moving tripod" is to use the natural baseline between your shoulder and your hand. This was the basis of almost every portable pro film and video camera made before, let's say, 2005. But with today's compact camcorders and video-shooting SLRs, what are you to do? Carrying a camera with two hands in front of you while trying to view the screen is an invitation to shaky shots.

Designed to improve your video shooting with everything from a traditional DSLR to a professional cinema-optimized camcorder, the EV2 is adjustable in almost every dimension imaginable, and hosts a wide variety of 15mm rod-based accessories (a common mounting protocol for cinema-related gear).
Three adjustable pads in the shoulder mount assembly enable you to dial in a custom fit for fatigue-free shooting. The camera plate can be micro-adjusted for perfect trim and balance. And the easy-grip handle attaches to the end of one of your 15mm rod rails, and can be rotated to your preferred grip angle.

Features
Overview: The Stealth ENG (ELE-STLH-ENG) from ikan is a shoulder-mount system for professional camcorders, such as the Canon XF305 and others, as well as many high-end DSLRs that are used for shooting high definition movies. It consists of two major parts: the ELE-SSM Shoulder Mount and the ELE-LBP camcorder base plate. The system also includes a battery mounting plate and a handle.
Shoulder Mount: The ELE-SSM Shoulder Mount has three 3" square, adjustable/removable shoulder pads. You can adjust the angle of the outer pads so they fit you perfectly, allowing you hours of comfort, even with a heavy camera. The mount is adjustable laterally, side-to-side, horizontally, or vertically. Once you have adjusted the mount to your liking, you can lock it into place with the provided Allen wrenches. The shoulder mount has multiple accessory mounting points with 1/4", 3/8", and M4-7 threads, as well as unthreaded accessories.
Double Cheese Plate: The Stealth ENG kit comes with a "Double Cheese" mounting plate (ELE-DBLPT) that attaches to the Shoulder Mount with the supplied M4 x 12mm screws. The Double Cheese plate has multiple threaded mounting holes to accommodate a battery system or other accessories from ikan or other manufacturers, including the 62mm ikan Battery Mount and the Anton Bauer mount. The 2-15/16" x 4-7/8" plate has a double set of screw holes so you can mount two batteries in some cases. The plate can be mounted to the Shoulder Mount on the top or the back using any of four available pairs of mounting holes.
Camcorder Base Plate: The ELE-LBP Camcorder Base Plate is designed to accommodate any mid-sized or hybrid camcorder, or DSLR camera. The top of the base plate has multiple screw patterns for optional quick-release mounting plates, such as the Canon TA100 or the ikan ELE-WDGL. The base plate has two 15mm rods (each 12" in length) that fit into the rod clamps on the Shoulder Mount. The plate slides forward or backward along the rods to let you adjust the camcorder or camera to the most comfortable position, and locked into place with four thumbscrews. The included handle (ELE-HDLE) clamps onto the end of either rod to give you a good grip.
