I LOVE THIS 52" SHARP HDTV GREAT PIC. SOUND IS NOT ALL THAT. STILL I INJOY WATCHING HDTV & MOVIES

I purchased the TV about a month and a half ago. The first TV set I got was missing pixels across the entire screen. I called the Crutchfield customer service and they promptly replaced it with a new one. Unfortunately the new set showed the multiple dark bands across the screen. I have read about this problem with LC-52D62U with earlier production. So I called the Sharp directly. After I send them pictures of the screen with the defect they agreed to send me a new one. I just received the new TV from Sharp last week and this one has even worst dark bands (This one was much recently produced TV based on the serial number). After 3rd TV with problems I had enough. I am getting a full refund from Sharp and getting a Sony instead. I don't know what the problem is during production but Sharp should at least turn on the TV after they make them and check for the defect.
The price of the TV was one of the most attractive features about this TV but I don't think it's worth the trouble. I'm sure I maybe the exception and many people who bought the TV have no troubles at all.
