One look at the Samsung DA-E750 and you can tell this is no ordinary powered speaker system. The furniture-style cherry wood finish gives a classic look to this very modern product. Look in the window on top you can see the warm glow of vacuum tubes. The high-quality speakers and retractable dock in back complete this system's elegant design. And the sound of the DA-E750 sounds as rich and warm as it looks.
The vacuum tube preamp section provides smooth, natural sound, and is coupled to a high-efficiency class D amplifier, that ensures that each note sounds clear and precise. The two full-range speakers, each comprising of a high-frequency tweeter and glass-fiber midrange driver, deliver sound with pinpoint accuracy. The built-in down-firing subwoofer further reinforces the low tones. Your music will sound vibrant, full, and rich with detail.
You can connect your iPod or iPhone directly to the DA-E750 via its built-in dock. The hinged dock swings out from the back panel, and can be pushed back in for storage when not in use. You can also use Apple AirPlay to play music from your iTunes library wirelessly through the DA-E70. Stream music from your iPod touch or iPhone, or use your player to select and control the iTunes library stored in your computer to play through the system. That's an amazing amount of music to hold in the palm of your hand.
Android users rejoice! You can dock your Galaxy S™ II or III smartphone to the DA-E750 and play music through it. And your smartphone will automatically charge while docked. The DA-E750 also includes Samsung's AllShare feature, which lets you wirelessly stream music from your Window® compatible PC or smartphone to the system. And you can even use your smartphone to select songs and playlists from your computer.
If you have a Bluetooth-enabled tablet, PDA, or a smartphone, you can also play your device's music through the DA-E750. And of course, you can also use the system's Bluetooth connectivity to stream audio from your Apple portable or Samsung portable device.
From the review A Singular Solution for Digital Music
"[The DA-E750] can play music from just about any source you have — wired or wireless. And the accuracy and detail of the sound ensures you will hear a difference between your low-res and high-res digital audio files. If you're ready to make the move into high-end audio, and the majority of your music is digital, the Samsung DA-E750 powered speaker system is worthy of your consideration."

The Samsung E750 is incredible , the sound is clear and clean. The lows are spot on.
Pros: Looks Sound Easy of use
Cons: Haven't found any yet
If you like warm, rich analog sound, you'll love this speaker. It does not have a heavy bass, but it is nice.
Pros: various ways to connect very well made reasonably priced beautiful
Cons: doesn't sound good on bluetooth KindleFireHD (probably the Kindle)...sounds good on bluetooth cell phone
I was looking for docking station that I could use with iMac, iPhone, and iPad but at the same time I didn't want to tie myself to only docks with AirPlay. I wanted to have at least another option such as Bluetooth as a backup option in case if Wi-Fi is not available for any reason. I tried B&W Zeppelin Air, B&W A5 and A7, Sonos 3 and 5, and Bose Sounddock 10and then I randomly came across Samsung DA-E751 (the same as DA-750 but in black) in the local store. The sound that I heard out of the Samsung knocked all other other system (but B&W A7) out of the water. Reach, deep bass, excellent midrange and high tremble all there. It was on pre-Christmas sale but local store didn't have red-cherry color one which I liked more than a black one. I found it online and bought right there and then. I am currently using the latest generation of iPhone and iPad so I can't take advantage of the 30-pin Apple connector but I used that connection once to setup network connection to Wi-Fi with my old iPad2. Network connection took literally 10 seconds and AirPlay works as expected. Bluetooth connection also works just fine. I am listening to almost all types on music except for Rap and Dubstep. All of my music plays fine, voice are clear, soundstage is very distinct and I can clearly separate bass guitar from acoustic, and drums are sounds amazing. Music played through iTunes and Spotify comes out perfectly.
Pros: Nice style. Perfect sound for me.
Beautiful, well made product. Very intuitive to set up and work with. It's a nice pairing of a tube preamp and digital amp.
Sounded good even using Bluetooth but liked it best when docked. btw, the dock is well thought out, even has an adjustable back brace that you slide up that will secure even an iPad.
Re iPads: the manual says it's compatible with the 2 and it is. I tried our 3 and the only thing I noticed is that it charges "very" slowly when docked.
The bass boost is nice. You can use it as needed for some music and it's nice to engage it when you are listening at low volume levels, kind of like the old "loudness" button on some vintager receivers.
Pros: Mentioned above.
Cons: Only con for me was you can't change the tubes yourself. Samsung "Fort Knoxed" it. I have some nice vintage 12au7's that I was hoping to sub but it's not in the design plan of this unit. The great Crutchfield team went to great lengths to help find out but what "we" found out was.....it ain't gonna happen. But this is minor and it sounds good as is.
I ordered the DA-E750 after reading up on it on-line... saw it on Crutchfield at a good discount, so bought it for myself as a late X-mas gift! What attracted me was the versatility (dock-connector, AirPlay AND BlueTooth) and tube amplification circuit (was intrigued by this, and wondered how it really would sound). The initial set-up was very easy... directions are clear and easy to follow. The product itself is, in a word, gorgeous. High gloss cherry mahogany finish is really sweet, and the finishing on the speaker grills, tube window, and function controls make for a great look. Even the remote has a sleek look, with a matching reddish-brown curved back, and raised function controls. It is bit "plastic-y" to the touch, and could've benefited from a bit more weight, but works well, and is simple and intuitive.
The sound of the DA-E750 is impressive. A bit warmer than most docking speakers I've heard and packs quite a bit of punch, especially for its relatively compact size. The 60W subwoofer provides good, strong bass - there is a bass enhancement function on the remote that works well on certain tracks (mostly those where the base is NOT accentuated in the mix) but seems to add some muddiness / distortion at the low end on tracks where there is already fairly strong bass. My only other observation is that there is a very pronounced "sweet spot" for the best stereo imaging and overall sound. You really need to be right in front of the unit to get the best sound.
Pros: Beautiful finishing and design, relatively small size, and really good sound performance. Perfect for medium sized rooms, and extremely versatile given it's multiple hard-connection and wireless options. Easy to set up and use, with very clear instructions for setting up AirPlay, BlueTooth and connecting to any compatible device. Sound performance is natural and balanced across multiple genres, at both low volume levels and driving it pretty hard!
Cons: Pop-out dock has a Apple 30-pin connector, so is not compatible with Lightning devices without an adaptor (also has a mini-USB to connect Samsung devices, but I have not used this). There is no support so using the Lightning to 30-pin hard connector is very unstable; I would only use the Lightning to 30-pin cable for this reason. The function display is on the top of the unit, so is not visible when changing sources etc. using the remote. Sweet spot is small and directly in front of the unit.
This is a FANTASTIC docking station! It looks pretty. It sounds amazing! The Samsung DA-E750 is much larger than I assumed it would be, and the warm orange glow from the vacuum tubes is wonderfully nostalgic.
Pros: Physical looks are splendid. Audio quality is superb. Quite easy to set up and use.
Cons: A light up remote to use in a dark room would be great. Also, a visual meter for volume levels would be nice too.
Appearance:10, Cherry wood finishes with (2) ecc82 (12au7) tubes glowing on top. Build Quality: 10. Solid 20lb of music making equipment. Playability: 10. Easy set up wireless streaming. I can play my entire music library from hard drive thru ipeng on my iphon, or I can play direct from itune airplay from any pc or tablet. no dongle needed (arcam rcube extra $100). Sound Quality:10. Silky smooth high, powerful ( not overwhelming) bass. music sounds just right thru out the full spectrum.
Pros: appearances, sound quality ( can compete with any $3000 system).
Cons: Do not come with instruction on tube replacement. most audiophiles probably have some N.O.S. tubes sitting around, but tube rolling seems difficult. Temptation to buy one for every room in your home.
I read many reviews on the web on this docking station. I bought it anyways from crutchfield at a great price, and great customer support. I am connected through bluetooth using my macbook pro. I had it connected within minutes. I own very high end headphones, and a very high end stereo set up. If you think this will replace all things like that, you're out of your mind. For a small box, it's sound is excellent. Placement of this music box will change its sound greatly. Most speakers, including high end home units, need to be placed properly. I first put this on a table, put the bass button on high, and was a bit disappointed. I then put it on a small end table in the corner of the room, set the bass back to off, and this adjustment was night and day. The bass was room filling and sounded excellent. The mid and highs are very good as well. This is a heavy and nicely made piece. I like its simplicity, and lack of lights and unnecessary gadgets.
Pros: sound , looks, simplicity, cool looking tubes, ( lit with led's )
Cons: every once in a while the remote control does not respond. remove battery and re install seems to fix this minor problem.
I have finally replaced a 25 yr old yamaha and denon component system. I now access and enjoy music totally through Internet applications for convenience and selection. My selection of this sound dock was based purely on sound quality. Although it won't be better than my old equipment was I have to say that the sound field is open and let's source material breathe. There is a balance between deep bass and crisp highs and the midrange sounds balanced as well, and unlike the harsh brassiness I have noticed with cheaper systems. The sound field is open with enough presence and detail that it has the impact on the listener that it's a more expensive component system. It's that good as you can tell that it's sold out.
Pros: Sound quality is outstanding and makes any source material sound better than on your tablet or mobile. Chassis build quality is heavy with premium materials and feel. After you have a few hours burning in the tub es when you first buy it, but the sonic quality approaches the depth, presence and image detail of a component system without the clutter and complexity this is why it cost a few hundred dollars more.
Cons: Supplied remote has a light, cheap feel that does not match the units overall high quality. The clean and uncluttered design goes too far with a lack of indicator lamps and needs a more straight forward control interface. Connecting through various software apps is trial and error and is frustrating with a lack of status lamps.
My music is recorded in no loss .wav format. But, I have no room for a home theater solution. Crutchfield was offering the Samsung DA-E750 audio dock. I researched the specs on this device and found that it is a 100-watt amplifier. It reproduces the audio spectrum (20 to 20000 Hz) with a sound to noise ratio of 65 dB. It has all the inputs-Wireless, Blue tooth, 2 docking inputs to handle Apple and Non-Apple players, USB, TV, etc. It is solidly built weighing about 20 lbs. It has a cherry wood finish with 2 tweeters, 2 mid-range speakers firing forward and a 6 in woofer firing downwards from the base. The speakers are made of fiberglass for clear sharp crisp sound with no mushiness. And the intriguing feature of this unit is that it uses 2 dual triode vacuum tubes (ECC82) in its preamp. These vacuum tubes reproduce the harmonics. This gives the full, a warm, live performance feel that is missing from digital music. But, nowhere in the specs could I find that the USB port could handle .wav format. So I called, Duke, at Crutchfield. He verified that a flash drive on the USB port with .wav format would not work. We came up with a solution. We could download the music files onto a Galaxy 5.0 Player and dock that to the DA-E750. The Galaxy is well equipped to play the .wav format. And by using an APP called Power Amp I gained full balance, and equalization controls. I bought the system. It has equaled or exceeded my expectations
