Most 1080p HDTVs can wow you with their detail on still or slow-moving images, but how about when the on-screen action picks up the pace? That's when you'll appreciate the advanced technology in the Samsung LN-T5271F. This TV delivers a superb picture with fast-action sports and video games.
120Hz refresh rate ensures smoother, cleaner motion
Samsung's anti-blur technology doubles the frame rate from 60 to 120 frames per second without repeating the same image to make more frames. Instead, the TV uses motion interpolation to create new video frames which are inserted between the actual frames. Images look much more solid and three-dimensional.
High-contrast, color-saturated images
Samsung has steadily improved the contrast and black level performance of its LCD TVs, but the LN-T5271F represents a major leap. With a 25,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, blacks will look blacker, and dark scenes show outstanding detail. A wide-range fluorescent backlight helps this TV reproduce 25% more of the broadcast TV color range than standard LCDs do.
The shiny screen surface enhances clarity when viewed straight on, but it also tends to reflect room lights, so this set is best enjoyed with the lights turned low.
A wealth of high-def options
The LN-T5271F includes tuners for receiving both analog and digital over-the-air broadcasts (antenna required). Cable TV subscribers can use the built-in "QAM" tuner to tune in unscrambled cable channels without a set-top box. Three HDMI inputs and two component video inputs make it easy to add multiple high-definition video sources like an HD satellite tuner or video game console. The set's HDMI inputs can accept 1080p signals like those available from many Blu-ray and HD DVD high-def disc players.
New HDMI connections enhance remote control operation
Home theater fans love HDMI connections for their pristine picture clarity and single-cable simplicity. Here's more good news the LN-T5271F's Anynet+ HDMI connections let you control other compatible HDMI-connected components using only the TV's remote. That's a huge plus if you keep your components out of sight in a cabinet or closet. You have total control without resorting to complicated remote booster systems.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
I am Glad I picked this TV ! I went to look at all the 52" LCD's and Samsung look the best to my eye. The Samsung 52" was Sitting Next to a Sharp 52" LCD and Samsung had a better picture. I had to Wait 4 weeks as
I was one of many on the list wating for this TV. It was worth the Wait ! This TV is Fast I turned my setting to Fast and it is Fast, Very Smoth no pixalating at all, just a Great TV. And the free wall mount works great, i can turn the TV with my Tv remote. Thank you Cruthfield ! I am Very Happy. Get the T5271F you will be very happy !!!
Careful: NOT 1080p/24 fps !!
This TV is beautiful, down to the case. However, after extensive searching, I found (finally from Samsung's FAQs) that this TV boasts 120Hz capability, but it cannot input 24 fps (from the new Blu-Ray players to avoid 24 to 30fps conversion) which is one of the main objectives for having 120Hz frame rates. Sony TVs use 120Hz and can input native 24fps from Blu-Ray DVDs... I can honestly say I think Samsung tricked me! Serious buyers beware - this is marketing tactics at its best. :(

Features and Specs
Integrated HDTV Tuner: The TV has a built-in over-the-air HDTV (ATSC) tuner, so you don't have to purchase a separate digital set-top box to receive and decode over-the-air HDTV/SDTV signals. The TV also has a 181-channel NTSC analog tuner. An additional QAM tuner decodes unscrambled digital cable signals.
Native Resolution: The LN-T5271F has a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 and scales all inputs for display at 1080p. The HDMI and component video inputs will accept 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p, and 480i signals. Full HD, or 1080p, contains 1.5 times more scanning lines than conventional HD TVs. More scanning lines mean more pixels, more details and a better picture.
Digital Natural Image Engine (DNIe): Samsung's exclusive Digital Natural Image engine dramatically improves the picture by enhancing the contrast, detail, and white balance, and reducing noise. DNIe can be turned off, or a demo mode shows a split screen with a DNIe enhanced picture on the right and DNIe off on the left.
Auto Motion Plus 120Hz: Auto Motion Plus 120Hz offer faster frame rates for a clearer picture. This technology doubles the frame rate from 60 to 120 frames per second (120Hz LCD panel) without repeating the same image to make more frames. The TV intelligently calculates the 'middle' image between frame A and frame B and inserts it in between (Auto Motion Plus 120Hz processor), making a fluid transition from one frame to the next.
Wide Color Enhancer: Samsung's exclusive Wide Color Enhancer technology delivers more brilliant colors, even in bright areas of the picture where blues and greens are washed out on conventional screens. The system displays wider color reproduction, showing you truer colors such as the fresh green of spring foliage, the intense blue of the summer sky.
Super Clear Panel: Samsung's super clear LCD panel highlights black and darkened areas, enables vibrant, more compelling colors and provides a brighter, clearer picture. The panel's higher contrast ratio produces seamless, breathtakingly beautiful moving images and enables the TV to offer an exceptional picture.
Dynamic Contrast: The television's 25,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio will give you a picture with whiter whites, blacker blacks and a nearly infinite subtlety of gradations in between.

Wide Fit: proportionally enlarges the picture to fit the entire screen without changing the aspect ratio
4:3: sets the picture to 4:3 normal mode with pillars on the left and right of the screen

Anynet+: Anynet+ is an AV network system that enables you to control other components with your Samsung TV's remote. The Anynet+ system can be used only with Samsung AV devices that support the Anynet+ feature and are connected with HDMI 1.3 cables. The Anynet+ feature must be turned on in the menu to function. Anynet+ can support up to 12 AV devices in total.
PC-Capable: This unit has a 15-pin D-Sub (RGB) input that allows you to use it as a high-resolution computer monitor. The HDMI 1 input can also be used with a computer. The TV can be set to automatically adjust to the video signals received, or you can use the setup menu to adjust the screen quality and position. No cables are supplied for connecting the TV to a PC.
Picture-In-Picture (PIP): The Picture-In-Picture feature allows you to watch two video sources (TV, VCR, DVD) simultaneously. The Picture-In-Picture feature allows you to view an analog TV broadcast on the PIP screen (sub-picture) when the main picture is from an external device connected by HDMI, Component or PC. The TV has only one tuner, so you cannot watch two TV channels at the same time. There are three PIP views: Double Window (side-by-side split screens and each screen has a 4:3 aspect ratio), Double Wide (side-by-side split screens and each screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio), or standard picture-in-picture (a small window inside the full screen). In the standard picture-in-picture mode, the inset PIP window can be moved to any of the screen's four corners. PIP will not work while the V-chip or xvYCC is in use.
Input Source Names: You can assign a preprogrammed name to each of the inputs. When input naming is completed, you will no longer have to remember which component is connected to each input when selecting a source to watch. Freeze: The still button allows you to freeze an image on the screen, it can only be activated from the remote control. When you freeze the picture the audio continues normally.
Digital Signal Strength Meter: The digital signal strength meter can be used to help you find the antenna position that delivers the highest HDTV digital signal strength.
Analog Channel Fine Tuning: The fine tuning feature allows you to manually adjust analog channels for optimal reception. A separate fine tuning setting may be put into the TV's memory for each analog channel.
Low Noise Amplifier (LNA): In a weak signal area reception might be improved by boosting the incoming signal using the LNA function. A separate LNA setting may be put into the TV's memory for each channel.
Digital Noise Reduction: If the broadcast signal received by your TV is weak, you can activate the Digital Noise Reduction feature to help reduce any static and ghosting that may appear on the screen.
Auto Volume: Auto volume automatically adjusts the volume of the desired channel, lowering the sound output when the modulation signal is high or raising the sound output when the modulation signal is low. This reduces the difference in volume when changing channels.
