Features
Overview: The CK3100 Car Kit connects to your factory stereo system so
you can take calls from your Bluetooth phone through your car's speakers. The
kit includes an electronic control unit, LCD screen, and separate
microphone.
Vehicle Compatibility: The CK3100 car kit is compatible with select
vehicle factory systems. Installation requires a vehicle-specific T-harness adapter. To
verify compatibility with your vehicle, please see the "Outfit My Car" vehicle
selector.
Mobile Phone Compatibility: The CK3100 is compatible with most
Bluetooth mobile phones on the market including the Apple iPhone and iPhone 3G. The kit allows you to register up to five

Microphone: The microphone features echo cancellation technology and
background noise reduction, allowing conversations to remain clear despite noise
in the vehicle.
LCD Screen: The display of the
CK3100 provides information such as caller ID, carrier signal strength, or last
calls received. The LCD screen also includes the Answer and Hang Up buttons, and
the central button, which allows you to adjust the call volume and access the
kit's menu system.
Phonebook: Select phones
automatically transfer their phonebook contacts to the kit.
Voice Recognition: Thanks to
the voice recognition feature, you can say a name and the CK3100 will
automatically dial the person's number. You can store up to 150 names in memory.
You can select voice prints that are registered in the memory of the CK3100 or
registered in the memory of the telephone.
Note: This function is
only available on certain phones.
TextFriendly: A new feature called TextFriendly is available
for the CK3100 through a firmware update. It allows you to receive and
answer texts and emails via voice. After a 6-month free trial period for new
Parrot customers (or a 3-month free trial period for existing Parrot customers)
a monthly fee is required to subscribe to TextFriendly.
Magic Words: Magic words are
keywords used to accept an incoming call or end a call, as well as activate the
voice recognition feature without taking your hands off the wheel. Keywords
include: Telephone, Hang up, Address, office, mobile, general, other, and
preferred.
Optional Speaker: The optional
CK-70003S speaker kit allows you to enjoy hands-free convenience, without having
to splice into your car's speaker wiring harness. The speaker has a proprietary rectangular
8-pin (2 pins present) connector that plugs into the supplied wiring.
Installation
Adapter Required:
To install the CK3100 car kit, you will need an adapter
specific to your vehicle. The adapter plugs into the power cable and mute cable
and interfaces with your vehicle's factory wiring. Note: Although not
required for installation, the adapter simplifies the installation.
Inexperienced installers may have difficulty hardwiring the kit without the
adapter.
Installation Location:
The electronic control unit mounts under your vehicle's dash and the
LCD screen is mounted to the dash surface. The supplied hardware allow you to
mount the microphone on a vent, visor, or on the dash.
Power Cable: The power cable
has a 4-pin Molex plug on one end that connects to the electronic control unit.
The other end of the power cable has a 9" T-section, which plugs into the optional adapter and interfaces with the factory system.
Mute
Cable: One end of the mute cable has a 10-pin Molex plug that connects to
the electronic control unit. The other end of the mute cable has an 8-pin
rectangular male connector and 8-pin rectangular female connector that plug into the optional adapter and interface with the factory system.
