Add Bluetooth connectivity to your car stereo system

Want hands-free phone operation and control of your phone's features when behind the wheel? Parrot's CK3100 Bluetooth cell phone car kit connects to almost any car stereo system so you can take calls from your Bluetooth phone through your car's speakers. A small LCD screen mounted on your dash displays caller information and allows access to your phone's menu functions. We carry cell phone kit harnesses that allow plug-in connection of Parrot's Bluetooth car kits in a wide variety of vehicles.

Permanent installation

The CK3100 control panel installs beneath the dashboard, so all you see is the small dash-mounted LCD screen/keypad and an external microphone. Once your car's engine starts, the kit connects automatically to your Bluetooth phone. With the microphone mounted, just say a name and the CK3100 takes care of the dialing. The CK3100 can work with up to five Bluetooth devices at one time.

Convenient control panel

You control your phone's menu functions with the dash-mounted LCD screen and 3-button keypad. From dialing to phonebook to voicemail, the keypad and voice prompts will guide you easily through functions as you keep your eyes on the road. You can change the volume with the press of a button.

Easy-to-read LCD screen

Parrot's LCD screen displays valuable information from your phone, including Caller ID, listings for the last calls received and dialed, plus dialing with numbers. You can even see the strength of your phone's signal.

Voice recognition

The voice recognition software remembers up to 150 names from your phone's address book for dialing (only works with certain phones). Noise reduction on the external microphone lets you carry on a conversation in a normal tone — no need to shout, even in heavy traffic. Most importantly, the CK3100 is programmed to mute your car's radio at the onset of an incoming call, ensuring clear sound over your car's speakers.

The Parrot CK3100 is compatible with all Bluetooth cell phones and installs with most factory and aftermarket car stereo systems. Some factory systems may require an additional wiring adapter.

Note: Compatibility of this device may vary, depending on your phone and service provider.

Time-saving connections for your car
Crutchfield carries cell phone kit harnesses that allow easy, plug-in connection of Parrot's Bluetooth car kits in a wide variety of vehicle factory systems. You can also use these harnesses in conjunction with many aftermarket systems in compatible vehicles, as long as the factory stereo connections are available.

Features

Overview: The CK3100 Car Kit connects to your factory stereo system so you can take calls from your Bluetooth phone through your car's speakers. The kit includes an electronic control unit, LCD screen, and separate microphone.

Vehicle Compatibility: The CK3100 car kit is compatible with select vehicle factory systems. Installation is made easier with a vehicle-specific T-harness adapter. To verify availability for your vehicle, please check here.

Note: Not recommended in vehicles with amplified factory systems like Bose and other factory amplifiers.

Mobile Phone Compatibility: The CK3100 is compatible with most Bluetooth mobile phones on the market including the Apple iPhone and iPhone 3G. The kit allows you to register up to five different mobile phones. Please visit the following website for specific Bluetooth mobile phone compatibility listings: http://www.parrot.com/usa/compatibility.

Microphone: The microphone features echo cancellation technology and background noise reduction, allowing conversations to remain clear despite noise in the vehicle.

LCD Screen: The display of the CK3100 provides information such as caller ID, carrier signal strength, or last calls received. The LCD screen also includes the Answer and Hang Up buttons, and the central button, which allows you to adjust the call volume and access the kit's menu system.

Phonebook: Select phones automatically transfer their phonebook contacts to the kit.

Voice Recognition: Thanks to the voice recognition feature, you can say a name and the CK3100 will automatically dial the person's number. You can store up to 150 names in memory. You can select voice prints that are registered in the memory of the CK3100 or registered in the memory of the telephone.

Note: This function is only available on certain phones.

TextFriendly: A new feature called TextFriendly is available for the CK3100 through a firmware update. It allows you to receive and answer texts and emails via voice. After a 6-month free trial period for new Parrot customers (or a 3-month free trial period for existing Parrot customers) a monthly fee is required to subscribe to TextFriendly.

Magic Words: Magic words are keywords used to accept an incoming call or end a call, as well as activate the voice recognition feature without taking your hands off the wheel. Keywords include: Telephone, Hang up, Address, office, mobile, general, other, and preferred.

Optional Speaker: The optional CK-70003S speaker kit allows you to enjoy hands-free convenience, without having to splice into your car's speaker wiring harness. The speaker has a proprietary rectangular 8-pin (2 pins present) connector that plugs into the supplied wiring.

Installation

Vehicle Specific Adapter: Adapter harnesses are available for a number of vehicles, making installation much easier. The adapter plugs into the power cable and mute cable and interfaces with your vehicle's factory wiring.

Customer Q&A

Q
Does the Parrot CK3100 works with a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe? Will I need to purchase the harness in order to connect it to that specific car?

A
You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

Yes, it can, but I have a problem with getting it to do it consistently. I don't know if there is a setting for it. It is great when it works!

A
It will. The Parrot is the best thing I've added to my mothers car.
brian  Jan 02, 2016

Q
Its says that it displays caller ID, my question is does it display the name of the caller as stored in your phone or does it just display the number calling? Thanks

A
It displays the contact that you have on your phone. There is an option to "download" your contacts list to the parrot, which I have not done. I assume it stores the list on your parrot. So since I have not done that, it must "bluetooth" the contact name as stored on my phone to the display. And then if its a number not in your list, it just displays the number. My iPhone displays the origin city an state of the number calling on my phone screen, but the parrot does not seem to do that.
samuel  Nov 08, 2014

I can't answer your question for all possible cases. I installed it in my daughter's car and I don't use it daily personally. I do know this much from testing it out. Each time the phone connects to the car, it downloads the phonebook from the phone to the Parrot. That only takes seconds. If I call her, it picks up my name from the downloaded phonebook and displays that and not the phone number in the display. If I was not in her phonebook, I don't know what is displayed. It seamlessly hands off the call when turning the car on and off. The unit has been installed for 10 months and has been rock solid. The display isn't the greatest when viewed off angle. I have it installed in the center console about 2 feet below the top of the steering wheel in a Mazda 3. If I had it to do over, I might consider the MKi9100 because the display looks a little nicer.
tom  Nov 03, 2014
A
It displays name if number is stored in phone otherwise it displays number.
steven  Nov 03, 2014
A
It displays the information the same way it would appear on your phone. A contact's name will display on the parrot. A non-contact will display only a phone number.
aaron  Nov 03, 2014
A
As its displayed in your phone.
andre  Nov 03, 2014
A
If the number is associated with a name in your contact lost it will display the name.

A
Hey Kim, not this model, but my certified Parrot installer told me there is a model that does, and that may be an option.....but I was also informed using that option also depended on the make and model of your car. I hope this helps.
andre  Dec 23, 2013
A
I don't believe it can play music. We have iPhones and I have not been able to do anything besides use the phone. The phone works well.
frank  Dec 18, 2013
